omg i am so jealous! the lillos are my dream shoes, but they don’t fit my monster feet :( but i did just buy the fatimas, and that’s enough to satisfy my hunger for maguire shoes!!!

has your daily routine changed in any way now that you're no longer in grad school?

oh my god yes! absolutely! so much! the first weeks were so odd, i was just… aimless. i was so busy with work but had nothing else to do outside of it. and for the first time in… literally my entire life? i didn’t have a deadline to work towards! so that felt really weird. 

now things have settled and have gone back to being (or at least feeling) normal. i’ve been enjoying waking up later and actually finishing my day at 5 without having to sit in front of a screen for 2 more hours. i’ve gotten back into reading, i’ve been knitting, i’ve been cooking, i’ve stopped feeling guilty for having hobbies and doing things other than school work.

haven’t been very active on here because i tried to take full advantage of my holiday vacation (my first real vacation in a year!) but i’ve been back at work for a week and january is treating me very well so far. here are 5 nice things going on at the moment.

started an italian course on duolingo because i feel like there’s something missing in my life since i finished school, and that thing is learning! so we are fixing this issue one “sei una ragazza allegra” at a time. i also started learning how to knit around christmas, and although i’ve barely made any progress how my blanket, i’ve been enjoying those little moments of peace with needles in hand.

my boyfriend and i have gotten back into reading, both in the morning, between breakfast and the start of the work day, and in the evening, in bed after watching the crown, of course. you can follow me on the story graph (@delphinium) to see my reading progress throughout the year, i’ve been really enjoying taking part in some reading challenges inspired by taylor swift’s new albums. 

i’ve been spending a bit of time on my notion set up and have completely reorganized everything. i now have my entire life logged in there and am no longer using anything else (notebooks, notes app, etc.) i can’t wait to start trying out all the recipes i’ve logged on there, especially the homemade hot cross buns...

we decided to watch all of the academy award nominees for best picture in the next two years or so. we’ve made it to about 10% of the 562 films. our new favourites include the english patient, miracle on 34th street (the 1947 version) and blackkklansman! 

our goal for the months of january and february are to get back into shape! i created a full 1 month schedule with madfit videos (recommended by many on tik tok) and we are beginning our “program” on saturday. exciting!
