There's not enough hurt/comfort content out there. I want to cry and feel pain but I'm a little bitch and need that happy ending. Why is it hard to FIND UGH
This is the current boycott list my family is using
If anyone wants to add some more things to their boycott list but aren't sure what. I got this list from a video of Palestinian children holding up the brand logos asking us to boycott these brands. If anyone has that video feel free to attach it.
➪ sypnosis : the sins of the past don’t always determine someone’s soul
➪ other notes : i have so many ideas but i genuinely don’t know how to write them out, but here you guys go :3
“do you think i’m a bad person ?” dazai asks you, his eyes staring into yours.
“what’s this about ?” you respond, lighting a cigarette, hands trembling in the dark.
“just thinking,” he says, “well don’t,” you sigh at the young man in front of you.
you can tell this affected him by the awkward silence he returns, looking away from you.
you sigh, "the trauma you experienced is very real, and and what that man had you do isn’t okay...but that doesn’t make you an angel either,” you say, an attempt to comfort him.
dazai doesn’t say anything, his fingers grabbing your cigarette, holding it up to his lips.
“and that’s okay, if you can recognize your own actions, you are the furthest from a bad person you can get,” you continue with a soft tone.
when you turned to look at dazai, for the first time in all the years you’ve known him, you saw a light shine in his eyes.
My senior doctor told me that a Palestinian patient who crossed from Gaza to Egypt came with a complaint about stomach pain. It turned out that because she was starved for so long, her stomach shrunk. So, when she finally got her hands on foods she tried to eat her full, and her stomach couldn't digest it.
My senior told me that she was talking so sincerely about how she wanted to eat so much because she missed food.
Couldn't tell whether I should be glad for her or cry for her
"At least 27 children have died because of dehydration and malnutrition in the Northern Gaza Strip. These tragic and horrific deaths are man-made, predictable and entirely preventable." -UNRWA
I can't believe I need to say this but it's never too late to speak up and show your support for Palestine. What you're doing is never "not enough." Just talking about it is enough. Just raising your voice is enough.
And don't you DARE say otherwise to another person. You don't know shit about them. You don't get to call people performative without actual solid proof.
You think I'm overreacting??? Oh, I'm sorry, maybe it's because the owner of sunset makeup was called performative for putting the Palestinian flag as their profile pic when their family is LITERALLY PALESTINIAN. You want to know how I know that??? Because they were literally pushed to reveal that information.
Calling people performative doesn't do shit. It just pushes people away, puts supporters in uncomfortable positions, and forces actual victims to reveal painful things. SHUT THE FUCK UP.
All the tarp you see are human bodies. How many of those tarp covered bodies didn't make it to see their 18th birthday? How many didn't get to see the 1st birthday of their child? How many didn't get to celebrate retirement? These are human lives being ripped away at an alarming rate.
There should be no reason you can't step outside without seeing a decomposing child, mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, uncle, aunt, brother, sister, friend, or lover.
They had lives and yet they are buried next to the sidewalk? Would you be okay with your loved one being buried next to the sidewalk? No. No you wouldn't.
