I think I'm just definitely not made for academic life. I love reading things like poetry, novels, philosophy, articles, etc. I enjoy music, art, languages, and learning in general, but every time I hear one of my profs say 'this essay is due [ ]', I feel like dying. I love writing essays for myself or just writing whatever, but I can't stand seeing everything I do being given a literal score. Half of things in life (if not all) are in some way scored; people do that all the time, I know that, but this feels different. I just feel like university is an extension of school, and I hate that. It doesn't help that my university is one of the poorest, they expect things that don't make sense to me, they treat you like they're doing you a favor, and half of my profs have stolen essays/theses or act a little weird
