this is gonna sound dumb but was it ever actually confirmed that Vince lost his taste due to some Incident or is that just agreed upon fanon? Because I have a Game Hypothesis that hinges on there being no confirmed Reason behind Vince's lack of taste.

I ask cuz I remember no reason being stated in-game but I'm also not confident in my memory or knowledge of all the dialogue so a reason could've very much been stated and I didn't notice. Really hope im right in there being no canon explanation though cuz I have Thoughts I need to Express.
