people got so hung up on 'LET GIRLS EMPOWER THEMSELVES' and sex positivity and personal 'choices' that when it comes to 15 year old characters in a show wearing sexualized outfits they're like 'she CHOSE to wear that! it's her choice!' as if

a) they're not real fucking people, an author chose that. that authors the one who looked at a 15 year old character and went 'its ok for me to dress this child skimpy because of plot that I created'

b) 15 year old girls in real LIFE shouldn't be wearing minimal clothing and if you think society has literally no effect or harm on young teenagers like...bro. idk what to tell you. 15 year olds 'choices' to wear purposefully sexual clothing shouldn't be met with 'YAS QUEEN you have your own life' and with 'are you okay? this isn't appropriate, you're still a child.'
