            His eyes linger on her for a moment, then closing shut as he concentrates. He TRIES to let the force flow through him, to open himself up to whatever he is feeling. But it barely crawls up on him before it is carefully reconstructed into the emotion fuelling his physical power; anger, and manifested into a frustrated growl. Giving up control is no easy task for him, for he has lived a life OF control. Simply the thought of doing so scares him half to death.                                “ I do not doubt it, but I do not trust it either. ” 

       ❝ then you will learn, ❞ the statement is terse in that there is no suggestive nature behind it. it is a command. the former half of an ultimatum with the latter understood. reaching up, she draws a hand softly down the curve of his face, not breaking eye contact. ❝ you are many things: strapping. focused. sharp. but we both know that without me... all of that is without use, ❞ a bitter grin threads her lips punctuating such a vain reminder. she has no plan in place for maul, if he is going to learn to let go then all paths are his to choose. all consequences his to discover.

     He notices the way her lips   s t r e t c h. It almost reminds him of an animal baring its teeth. His smile, however, moves to  mirror  hers. If he felt any sort of discomfort, his demeanor certainly didn’t give it away. Poe Dameron certainly was not one who tended to be on EDGE, but something about the situation caused his senses to heighten.

       ❝ likewise, of course. ❞ there is a slight shift in her posture, a nervous type of fidgeting sincere in only that it is caused in part by her wanting to kill him herself. but she can't. the plan that t'aav has up her sleeve is long, thought out. she will not allow her own selfish desire or whim to set it off track. ❝ i don't know if you'd let me.. but i would love to have you for dinner. as a thank you? ❞ for some bullshit sob story she would be forced to conjure.

      & silence fell upon the air between them . Rey having a friend? no - she can handle herself without any friends . There was no need of any … right? would her life change if another person came into her life? was there to be a difference for her? it wasn’t a response she expected . hence , she stood up & made her way to the door only to turn around once more to face the other female .

‘ —— I don’t need any friends . ’

       she scoffs almost immediately. ❝ everyone needs friends...whether we know it or not. ❞ the woman does her best to speak gently and understandingly without coming off as condescending as she most naturally does. the other seems smart, observant. snatching her up will be no easy task.

     The voice   f l o a t s   up to reverberate in the air around him. It seems so SMALL compared to the business occupying the rest of the room. The pilot turns to face the speaker, a soft smile picking up the edges of his lips as chocolate irises fall onto her. She almost seems SHY to him.

                ❝ Why yes I am. And YOU are…? ❞

       at the question she smiles wide as if she is flattered that he would be interested in knowing her name. acknowledging her presence. they make eye contact for less than a second before the woman focuses elsewhere. seeing his face, being only an arm's length away makes t'aav's skin hot and irritated. but she can do nothing to him. not yet. ❝ aleph, ❞ she answers in a voice even softer than before. ❝ i'm sorry it was rude of me not to introduce myself in the first place. ❞
