Hey I’m back again to share some more musical information. I am here to talk about a few careers or fields that you can study in music. The first one I want to talk about is Music Education. This is one of the most popular degrees for persons passionate about music. This degree is a perfect field for the students who love music because they want to immediately start to share their passion through teaching and become a music teacher. Music education teaches music theory and analysis of different learning styles. Another field is Music Therapy. Music can reach and help people in the most difficult cases. Music therapy is included in the healthcare field and also connects with the fields of psychology and therapy with music studies. My last musical field is Music Technology. In this field it includes sound engineering and music production. So, when taking part in this you obtain the skills needs to become a sound engineer, producer, sound systems designer etc. During this field you develop new techniques and technologies for recording. You will learn the different types of speakers and their sound quality and other aspects of music technology.

The Process
People of look at a musician and is fascinated at what they see or hear them doing. Persons would eventually want to learn how to play the instrument that they see them playing or just want to learn the song that they hear because it might be their favorite, but don’t really know the process they went through in order to play that well. In becoming a great musician there is a process and steps that you must go through and know in to be a successful and good musician. Practicing is one of the first things you must do. Enroll yourself in music lessons with a professional music teacher and practice as often as possible. After learning the basic things about music, you must go through the process of furthering your education and study music theory or music performance in a university to earn your bachelor’s degree. When becoming a professional musician, it requires that you have what it takes to put in that work and the ability to work under pressure. When it comes to learning new songs or a new instrument it takes commitment. Lastly, exposure is another process that you would have to go through because, the more people hear your music or what you have done, the more work you are likely to find.

The why?
Many people often ask me, “why do you play the piano”? Today I'm going the tell you the reason why I play the piano. The piano is a very beautiful, fun and unique musical instrument. . When I play or listen to music, it gets me going every time. In order to become a great piano player, you must have good finger techniques, and body flexibility. Good finger techniques can also help you play piano music very clearly so that it sounds beautiful. In addition, I often found myself playing for long periods of times at different events or performances, so having good fingering techniques is important because it helps you to play piano for a long time without your finger getting sore. I like to pay close attention to the lyrics, chords and notes that are used in the song. When it comes to most songs, I can almost relate to it. When I'm alone, I like to turn up the music aloud, the beats and rhythms give me energy and it motivates me. Many people rely on music to get through struggles. Without music, life would be a dull and boring. When I'm disappointed or stressed out I like to listen and play a song or two to calm myself down. I feel as if you love music, it can help you truly understand what you’re playing and so that you can play it well.

Importance of Music
I’m going to tell you about the importance of music. Music has increased tremendously and it plays a huge role in persons lives. Today, people use music to deal with the issues of everyday life and to help them escape from reality. Also, music is an important source of employment, as people’s careers, such as singing, working on the radio , live performance gigs, concerts or even in the music industry as producers, engineers etc. Music has proven to play a very important role towards the advancement of society, by providing pleasure to the ears but acting as source of healing for the souls of the people. There have been many changes in how music is made and how instruments are designed to produce different sounds. This completely changes the way in which music is being produced. On my last blog I spoke about different genres of music and so, every different music genres carry different tones, this connects toward the likings of the world population.

There are many different varieties of piano keyboards in the world today, many us have our own opinions base on which one is the best, which one has the best design and lastly the most affordable. I’m going to be sharing with you which one is the best overall to me, best looking and the most affordable. This was a bit hard for me but I made my finale decisions after I started focusing on these two points, which has the best sound? And which has the best piano feel and keyboard action. So, my favorite keyboard is the Nord Stage 3 and is also has the best-looking design to me. I choose the Nord stage 3 keyboard because most professionals use this keyboard during live performances and the keyboard splits into three sections and they are synth, piano and organ. This keyboard has very good sound quality and each section of the keyboard is customizable. Lastly the most affordable keyboard to me is the Casio CGP-700. This Keyboard is the most affordable but it still offers a variety of voices, track sequencers, USB recording and a touch panel. The Casio CGP-700 goes for the affordable price of $799.00 on amazon.

Hi once again my name is Darrien Brown and I just want to talk to you about the different genres or types of music today, and which one is my favorite and my least favorite. So, in the music industry today we have ten major genres of music and they are, (EDM)Electronic Dance Music, Rock Music, Jazz, Dubstep, Rhythm and Blues (R&B), Techno, Country Music, Electro, Indie Rock and Pop Music. My most favorite musical genre out of the ten that I've listed is Rhythm and Blues. The reason that I love R&B so much is because of the great artist that have made impact on the music industry because of their love for this genre. A few of them are Michael Jackson, Usher, Rihanna and more. This genre is a combination of hip hop, funk, dance and pop and it focusing on freedom and relationships. My least favorite musical genre is indie rock. Because I'm from The Bahamas, this musical genre isn’t familiar to me and that I don’t hear it or listen to it.
