She bit down on her lip to keep herself from screaming as he picked her up and pain shot through her again and she almost lost consciousness. She closed her eyes as she felt something wet trickling down her back and the shirt sticking to her body. “ no. Just go, Sirius. Yo--you cant take the risk.” she said before she took a deep breath to gather herself up before speaking again. “It--its not worth it. I think I have already lost a lot of blood. You need to get outbefore something happens to you.” she said tugging at his shirt so that he would look at her, “ I am not worth it-- You cant put yourself in danger because of me. You hear me? You need to get out.” she said before she closed her eyes.

She just opened her eyes and tried to smile at him but she couldnt. She didnt really know if she wanted that. To get out of there alive. A part of her had gone in thinking it would all end for her. “ I know. I am with you.” she whispered realizing he would freak out if he ever finds out about what she really wanted.

Broken || Lily & Marlene

Marlene didnt know how they got away from the castle but somehow she had woken up in the hospital with pain like she had never experienced before and she was alone as she tried to come with terms with what had happened. She didnt know who was okay and who wasnt. She didnt know if she was okay? The healers refused to tell her what was wrong not that she could throw a fit. She had only been awake a few hours and could barely talk. 

She stiffened as she heard the door open cursing at the fact that she couldnt move to see who it wasa or to protect herself. She had been a little jumpy since waking up to put it lightly. She flinched a little when she felt a hand on her arm relaxing after she heard the familiar voice, “ Lily? You--You are okay?” she said in a croaky voice.

“ Ems, there is really no other way about it,” she said rolling her eyes as she hooked arms with the girl, “ Want to go to the kitchens? Maybe we could have some ice cream or something? For you to relax and stop acting like I am doing you a huge favour?” she said dryly but there was a smile on her face as she started leading the girl, “ I better be. They wont know what hit them.I kind of miss Marlene gone wild days.” she said with a grin.

“And that means so much to me Marley” Emmeline replied, squeezing her friend’s hands. She shook her head with a smile, “No really, I am fine. That’s really been the only thing troubling me.” she said honestly. “You know if ever need someone beat up you’re my first point of contact.” Emmeline teased.

“ I always knew you had a thing for me,” she said teasingly, poking her in the sides as she pulled away, “ Hey. That can never happen. You unfortunately cant get rid of me that easily. Together till the end of the days.” she said with a smile as she pulled her in for another hug, “You know me better than that, Emmeline. Are you okay, though? Has someone been troubling you? Do i need beat someone up?”

Emmeline held her breath, waiting for Marlene’s reply, and breathed a tremendous sigh of relief. She squeezed her friend tightly and laughed at her quip. “It doesn’t change anything for me either. I was just scared you were going to reject me.” she said “And that’s all, I promise.”

Marlene couldnt possibly think of anything that would make the girl so sad and depressed. “ you are really scaring me, Ems.” she mumbled as she wrapped her arms around the girl placing a kiss on her cheek. She stiffened for a second at the revelation before she relaxed again. it made sense. She had always been evasive whenever they talked about guys, “That is your big secret? I thought you had gone over to the dark side. You scared me, Woman.” she said a laugh escaped her lips, “Honestly, That doesnt change anything. Not from my side atleast?” she said sounding unsure, “Are you sure that is all?”

Emmeline sighed and looked at Marlene. She couldn’t run from this forever. Sirius had accepted her, so maybe Marlene would too. She wrapped her arms around the girl, After a few moments of silence, she finally spoke. “I’m gay Marlene.”

She didn’t know where they had come from but suddenly they were everywhere. It took her a moment to gather herself before she started fighting with them. She felt the rage like she hasn’t really experienced before. All the hurt she had been feeling past few months came out. Her family falling apart. Her friends falling apart. Sirius and her falling apart had probably been the last straw for her and she was lashing out in a way she didnt really think she was capable of. Now she knew why her dad was acting like he was and why Alex was supporting him.

It took a second. A small miscalculation on her part and she was going down. She was going down as pain was lighting up in her body. There were too many of them and her fire no matter how bright it was burning— it just wasn’t enough to bring them down. She didn’t know how long she lay there but slowly she was losing her consciousness as blood soaked through her clothes–felt like she was losing her grip on reality as the pain got too much and that’s when she heard him. She wanted to comfort him. Tell him she was okay but she couldn't talk. She could barely open her eyes.

"Sir--they-- dont---," she mumbled her eyes fluttering open but she couldn't finish her sentence. She needed to get up and get out there. They couldn't escape and hurt more people she cared about.

Carry You Home | Sirius and Marlene

Sirius had been making his way through the castle when he found her. Fighting through the Death Eaters he now felt nothing but rage for. If they were capable of this. capable of causing so much harm to so many innocent people, he wanted nothing to do with them. They were no longer his friend and so he felt no remorse as he sent spell after spell towards them. But it was when he saw Marlene on the ground that he stopped and ran to her.

“Please be okay. Come on, Marlene. Please.” He said as he rolled her over and smoothed the hair from her face before giving her a gentle shake. “Marlene wake up damnit!” He yelled, panic seeing in as the weight of everything was quickly bringing him down. If he lost her right now he didn’t know what he would do.

" Hey, you know I am here for you no matter what, don't you? There isn't anything you could say or do to get rid of me. You could try but you will fail," she said teasingly poking her in the sides, " Come on. I thought we were closer than this? What's going in. Talk to me?"

Marlene’s smile vanished as she realized something really was wrong with the girl. Her frown deepened at her question, “ Well, depends to whom I am disclosing the secret to? If I trust them then yes I would.” she said softly, “ Emmeline? Whats going on? You are scaring me a little.”

" Yeah that's all you seem to want these days," she said dryly a soft chuckle escaping her lips, " Our definition of exciting is not the Same anymore and Are you still with me?" She asked quietly as she finished cleaning up his wounds before she turned and walked over the cupboard looking for some medicine that would help with the wounds.

She grabbed a cloth and soaked it in cold water before turning to tend to his wounds. “ That’s nothing new. They are mostly like that. So why exactly did you get into it?” She asked quietly as she cleaned his face as gently as she could and trying not to flinch. “ One of these days you are gonna kill me with a heart attack or something.” She mumbled with a small smile trying to lighten the mood. When in fact she was going crazy worrying about him. Specially since they weren’t talking much and that hurt more than she could have anticipated.

“I don’t know…just wanted a fight maybe. He pissed me off.” Sirius said and as she cleaned his face he tried his best to not flinch and groan in pain. Which was very hard. “Well, you can’t say that life with me isn’t exciting.” He laughed and looked up at her with a small smile.

" How could I give you a chance to explain anything when you weren't really going to tell me anything?" She said softly and she couldn't control her tears anymore so she let them fall. Didn't matter anymore. Nothing mattered. " I never said you cheated on me. I said she crossed a line." She added quietly before shaking her head, " Am I not allowed to be hurt when someone else is getting close to you in a way only I am supposed to be? We both know how you would have reacted if the situation was reversed. If you had walked in on Amycus kissing me. We both know exactly what would have happened so why do you always fight with me when she is involved. You always. Always chose her over me. Do you know how much that hurts? I made Amycus sleep on the floor the last time because I knew you won't like if I shared a bed with anyone else. Because I think you deserve that respect but clearly I don't deserve the same." She said softly wiping her tears, " Do you really love me? Because right now I feel anything but loved. I haven't felt loved in a while actually. Don't even remember the last time you kissed me or held my hand. I am sorry if you think I over reacted and maybe i did--I dont care! I feel like I am losing you and icant---icant lose you not without a fight. Losng whether i give you space or fight so i��d rather go down fighting for you." She said and she had to bite down on her lip to keep a sob escaping her lips, " do you know how that feels? You are going to visit your boyfriend hoping to spend some time with him--- hoping he would want you around for a change but then you walk in on someone else kissing him something you haven't been able to do for a while. Do you know how much that hurt? Last thing she needs? What about me Sirius!? You do remember me, dont you? You know whats the last thing i needed? You pushing me away! Do you know how much it hurts that you can be there for her but not for me!? What hurts even more than that is the fact that you are not letting me be there for you either," She said, a sob escaping her lips and she covered her mouth. 

The blood drained from her face and she felt like she he had sucked out all the air from her lungs and she just couldn't breathe. She just couldn't think, " See she took this away as well. She wins every fight we have. That's why I am jealous cause when it comes to it you always chose her." She said quietly, " If that's what you want. I am tired of fighting for you and facing rejection over and over. It hurts too much," She whispered wiping her tears, as she turned to leave before turning back to face, “ I really did try, you know? I fought for you with everything I had. I love you with everything i have and i know i am a handful. I just wish you could have fought for me for us--like i have been trying to,” she mumbled finally looking up at him and not really knowing what to say.Maybe Alex had been right. That he would leave her, that she was an idiot to trust him. Maybe everyone who had told her not to get into him had been right and as usual she had been wrong and now she had to suffer the consequences. She wondered what would the old Marlene would have done? Probably hexed him into oblivion and walked out with her head held high and merlin, did she miss that girl. She knew just how to protect herself. What would she do now? That Marlene didn't know how to love Sirius and this Marlene didn't know how not to love Sirius.

Sirius stared at her in disbelief for a few moments. Was this even really happening? Because he was pretty damn sure this entire situation was beyond stupid. “No. No I wasn’t going to tell you. Because I was there comforting my friend. One of my best friends. And anything that happened in that room was between us and I wasn’t going to share it with anyone. For fuck sake Marlene it was barely even a peck on the lips! You are acting like she had her fucking tongue down my goddamn throat and that I cheated on you!” He yelled. He didn’t mean to. But he couldn’t help it. “You don’t give me a chance to explain anything. You just want me to jump straight to apologising. I love you, Marlene, but I’m sick of having the same argument about Adeline. She needed me and she made a mistake because she was upset. All you saw was something happening for ten seconds. She didn’t cross a damn line! Everyone does dumb shit when they are upset and I’m sure the last thing she needs right now is you acting like this.” He said and shook his head. “Maybe we…I don’t know…maybe we need to take a break or something because this is turning into the same shit over and over again and I don’t know how to handle it.”
