Goodman-Lherner Uniform 0.2
Yup it's back
A collection of alternate mechs made by a knockoff mill, GLU doesn't have licenses or core bonuses, but if you want something like what you already have but different, GLU might have something for you!
Updates with 0,2:
Fisherman: rework-back to its original idea of hook and shotgun.
Fusilier: weapon mounts changed to one heavy mount, improving license synergy without increasing its personal damage output by much.
Actaeon: core power buff, removing unneeded limitations.
Alphabetized
GLU in your Game section
Text tweaks for readability and clarity (there may be inconsistencies between file fluff text and LCP fluff text)
Carpenter: fixed an error in the core power
Silver Kestrel: after feedback about the sheer number of boost interactions and edge cases, getting boost interactions now costs a Protocol.
Probably not balanced! LCP is probably buggy! Every drop of feedback is appreciated!

Prime Report for December 2023
Prime stuff keeps getting announced this month and I'm behind. But let's run through everything to try to keep it straight.
Prime Access
Grendel Prime is still in Prime Access this month with the Zylok and Masseter until January. While we were originally expecting Gauss Prime to come out with Whispers in the Walls, DE decided they were already working on so many things for December that they pushed Prime Access back until Jan to give everything space to breathe, so we have a while longer until the new drop.
So, we have until some time in likely early to mid January to get Garuda Prime and Nagantaka Prime relics, as when Gauss comes out she will be going into the vault. Now is the time! Final days to do it.
Prime Resurgence
Nezha Prime and Octavia Prime and their weapons (Guandao, Zakti, Tenora and Pandero Prime) are leaving Varzia in less than three days. Mag and Frost Prime are staying until the end of the year, but the first two are leaving THIS WEEK, on Dec 21st at 2pm ET. Because something else is happening as well!
For the end of this year and the beginning of next year, Warframe is having a Prime Resurgence Event! Several Primes will be available in two week rotations starting on the 21st. DE put up a news article about this on the Warframe website, but the explanation is slightly sparse.
The news article says that the Primes will be available for purchase in the Market, while Varzia's stall in game also says that you will be able to trade Aya and Regal Aya for gear, which would be like normal. It's unclear if this refers to mainly the market link to Varzia's hub (and simply said the Market out of simplicity) or some other format, but I suppose we'll see.
As for the rotations, here is the information we are given about them:
Tumblr media
[Description in alt text]
It will be a very quick turn around covering many of the older Primes, many of which have been around this year. Hopefully that will give more space for some different Primes to appear over the next year (Like Titania Prime, for example.)
That's this month's news covering everything going on with Prime Warframes. Have a good holiday season and stay tuned for Gauss Prime's release in January!

"Interdimensional space whale density" is one of the best word strings of all time.
Ambient magic in Moperville is more abundant than most, but it remains finite, and not evenly spread out. What's more, there's a flow to it, so timing can affect whether someone's in a location with enough.
It can reasonably be relied upon for casting some magic if low on magic, but if using up a bunch of it all at once in one spot, it's potentially going to run out fast.
There's also the interdimensional space whale factor. They help the recycling process by eating some of it. Are you in an area with a lot of them gobbling it up? If so, you can't as easily rely on it!
What do you mean you have no way of checking for interdimensional space whale density? What are you even doing???

How to Make an A-Tier Tier List
I am SICK and TIRED of rubbish tier lists. I get that they're easy and cheap and often used as filler in a youtube channel, but so many are SO BAD when they can actually be really good and informational! So I am going to make a GUIDE on how to make a Tier List video that people will watch and respect, EVEN IF they think your opinion is garbage!
This will not save you from angry comments, but if you do it right people will care about your tier list enough to leave angry comments.
STEP 1: DEFINE THE LIST
You can make tier lists based on literally anything, so it's important to define WHAT you're basing the tier list on. For video games, for instance, are you judging in general across all levels of play? Or exclusively high end? Even if you're focused on high end, are you focused on hypothetically ideal play? Or average pro skill level? Or what? That might impact the list's outcome!
STEP 2: DEFINE THE TIERS
Okay bucko, if you just put down a tier list of S through F for me I will have so much trouble parsing actual quality information from it. Is A tier 'needs nerfs badly' or just 'An acceptable meta'? Is D tier where Bad Stuff starts? Or do Ds get Degrees? Is C decent or just meh? Bonus points if you actually DEFINE each tier. For instance:
Great (Excels in all situations) Good (Acceptable in all situations and/or Excels in niche situations) Situational (Acceptable in in niche situations) Adequate (Functions in niche situations, but not notably well) Failure (Does not function)
See? If I were to put something on THIS tier list you would know INSTANTLY how much I respect it. It also encourages a more nuanced approach than 'everything below A tier is garbage'.
STEP 3: SUBJECTIVITY DISCLAIMER
You might consider this mostly just covering your butt, but I cannot understate how this changes the tone of a tier list. Tier lists that are clearly built with a bias but claim not to be are aggravating. Include a brief oversight of your experience and point of view. Are you a middling player sharing your thoughts on the game for other middling players? Say that. Have you been playing the game for so long that you remember a time when the basic mechanics of the game are fundamentally different? Say that. This kind of context helps others understand why you're approaching the tier list the way you are.
You can make a subjective tier list. You always can. Just be clear up front that it's subjective, and your subjective point of view.
YOU ARE NOW ALLOWED TO PUT STUFF INTO TIERS
Finally! Now, if you want your Tier List to do rounds, here's what you have to do:
Clearly communicate the subject's location in the tier list.
Address, briefly, whether you have a personal bias and what it is.
Address why it is where it is on the tier list.
Acknowledge any major dissent you expect to this placement, and discuss it briefly.
Now, you're going to be tempted to at some point say 'but you all know why that is' about something or other. DO NOT. Remember, every video is someone's first introduction to a topic. If a bit of common community knowledge plays a major part in a placement (a scandal, a bug, a major mechanic, etc) at least call it by name so a curious outsider can enter into the space and look it up if they feel the need. A tier list that just goes, 'Melvin is B tier, and only because of the MOOS tech, moving on,' is NOT satisfactory. Mention that, perhaps, the MOOS tech allows him to hit the DPS cap, and address why he's still only in B tier because of it. You don't need to go over the tech itself in detail, only how it impacts the placement on the tier list.
BE SURE YOU HIT BOTH THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF THE SUBJECT. I cannot understate how fast I bail on Tier Lists that are all strengths or all weaknesses. This is in part the 'major dissent' bit, but it's also a big part of where it is: why isn't it higher? Why isn't it lower? By and large, things in video games are made to be balanced or at least have interactions. If something really doesn't have any upsides, specifically say as such: that at least makes it sound like you're TRYING to be fair.
THAT'S IT. It's that easy! A good tier list can act as a microcosm of a subject, and especially for games that change a lot that can be very useful! Take, for instance, Otzdarva's killer tier lists for Dead By Daylight; as the game gets updates, killers move. Some of that is in response to balance changes, other is in response to overall game changes. This both gives a relatively short overview of the entire game experience and serves as a onboarding point for curious newcomers! That's how you do Tier Lists!

So I'm reading these and thinking... who's the HORUS pilot? Who's going to make the-it's Rose. Of course it's Rose. She may not fit the HORUS profile but she defaults to cosmic horror and HORUS has that. The tone is different, but the core is there and Rose is pulled to it like a moth to a bare bulb.
And then John is the HA pilot, because at this point he doesn't have the self-awareness to really parse past the propaganda and see the issues underneath, in addition to the fact that HA mechs are baseline GOOD and reliable, while at the same time not boring.
But then who would sign up for SCC-Dave. It has to be Dave. Man is getting a Terashima Blade. Even if he's aware of the things that SCC does and disapproves of them, early Dave cannot resist the siren song of being the coolest most backflipping thing in space.
Which leaves Jade... with IPSN
Which
I don't have a citation for
But those parts of me that were once lost and buried say that it's true.
I see a Lancaster with potted plants growing on it... and the Vulture DMR.

Prime Report for November 2023
It's that time again, Dreamers! First day of November and time to look at all the stuff on the horizon. I may be jumping the gun just slightly this month but we probably won't get too many reveals until the devstream later this month so I'll probably add any developments in a reblog. Let's get to it!
Prime Access
Grendel Prime reigns Prime Access supreme with the Zylok Prime and Masseter Prime. They have not announced when or what the next Prime Access will be after him, but it should by all accounts be Gauss Prime. Hopefully they'll show him off on the Devstream later this month.
Harrow Prime and his weapons are in the vault, and Garuda Prime and hers are next in line. For a more in depth breakdown on future vaultings, I wrote up the next few cycles in my October post, which you can find here if you want to factor those into your plans.
Prime Resurgence
Zephyr Prime and Chroma Prime leave Prime Resurgence TOMORROW (Nov 2 at 2pm ET). Now is the time to obtain them, their accessories, and their weapons (Kronen Prime, Tiberon Prime, Rubico Prime and Gram Prime) or relics containing them before they disappear into the void again.
Coming to Prime Resurgence tomorrow are Nezha Prime and Octavia Prime. They bring with them Guandao Prime, Zakti Prime, Tenora Prime, and Pandero Prime, as well as all their accessories. This marks the first time that either of them have been available since their vaulting, which was about a year ago for both of them. It seems like this may lay down a pattern for the future of needing to wait at least a year of vault time before frames have eligibility for Prime Resurgence, but we'll see if it holds true.
Frost Prime and Mag Prime and their weapons are also still available until the end of the year. More details on them were also in my October post (link above).
If I get bored in the middle of the month maybe I will make a fun post predicting future Prime Resurgence candidates or something, we'll see.
That's all for now! We'll see how things change over the month. Tune in next time for more exciting Prime News!

Minecraft Wiki is independent again!!
Tumblr media
Yahoo!!! No more FANDOM wiki!!! Find the new minecraft wiki at minecraft.wiki!!
I thought it would be good to make a little PSA post with summarised information on why they moved from FANDOM!
Why did they move?
FANDOM is notoriously a bad wiki for both readers and editors alike. This is due to the insane amount of ads, the site layout, the lag, the fact that FANDOM can just take your wiki from you, etc has made the minecraft wiki decide to move
Because of the lack of agency the minecraft wiki has over its own wiki, they had a long discussion and vote with the community on what wiki platform to move towards. You can view both discussions here and here
By moving to a more independent wiki, they can provide a much better and friendlier service.
What's improved with the new wiki?
New site look, lacking the ugly FANDOM yellow sidebar and removing all other unnecessary bloat! This also includes a dark mode option and other custom settings.
Faster load times! I have incredibly good internet, and even I notice the STARK difference between the load times of FANDOM and the official wiki!
Less ads! At the moment they have no ads, but they do intend to have at least one. The placement of which will be discussed with the community to ensure minimal disruption to the user.
Better search functionality! FANDOM's search is notoriously bad at giving you the answers you need. Now they can have a more robust search function that more accurately brings users to what they are looking for.
No age popups- Unlike FANDOM this wiki does not need to know if you're a child or adult.
Anonymous editing has returned! Users can now once again anonymously contribute to the site!
HOWEVER. THE MINECRAFT WIKI NEEDS YOUR HELP!
FANDOM refuses to close old wiki's that have moved away, and so they will continue to show up in search domains. The old domains such as minecraft.gamepedia.com and minecraftwiki.net are also permanently attached to the FANDOM wiki.
In order to help the new wiki be successful, you can help out in the following way:
Spread the word!
Don't interact with FANDOM links. The less people interact with FANDOM, the more google knows that people are looking for the official wiki and not the FANDOM one!
Dont use the old links, again for the same reason as above!
And of course, improve the wiki :D! Since you don't need an account to make edits, see what you can contribute!

so in grade school i learned this clapping rhyme that went something like “down by the banks of the hanky panky / where the bullfrog jumps from bank to banky / singing east side west side east side west side / east side west side dilly dang DONG”
but i asked my girlfriend if she knew it and she remembered completely different lyrics… so now i’m curious how other people learned this rhyme? if you sang something roughly along these lines in school or camp please reblog this and tell me how you think it went (and also where you are from, maybe it’s a regional thing? i’m from north carolina)

Prime Report for October 2023
Hey there, I know it's not October yet but after the Devstream yesterday I felt the need to look at how the primes are shaking. So let's cover some things!
Prime Access
Wisp is currently on Prime Access! She is accompanied by the Fulmin Prime and Gunsen Prime.
During the Devstream yesterday they announced that the next prime, Grendel Prime, will be coming with the Abyss of Dagath update on Oct 18th. Coming with him are the Zylok Prime and Masseter Prime. So, if you want Wisp Prime Access, there's 2 1/2 weeks left to get her!
When Grendel Prime Access launches, that will also mark Harrow Prime going into the vault. Harrow Prime is next in line for vaulting along with his weapons, Knell Prime and Scourge Prime. Relics with them will be rotated out from the drop tables on the 18th when the Grendel relics are added.
The next warframes up to be vaulted after Harrow are first Garuda Prime (with Nagantaka Prime and Corvas Prime), then Khora Prime (with Hystrix Prime and Dual Keres Prime), and then Revenant Prime (with Phantasma Prime and Tatsu Prime). If you're still planning to get Garuda (like I am), now's the time to make a plan to obtain her and her weapons!
Future primes after Grendel Prime are currently unannounced, but by the release dates the next one should be Gauss Prime by all accounts, followed by Protea Prime and Xaku Prime in some order. That rotation will be strange, since Xaku is of course nonbinary, but it means there's no way to fit them into the order without breaking the male-male-female-female cycle they follow with primes. Likely Xaku will be paired with Protea because they're right next to each other in release order, and the next female warframe is Yareli, who was put out significantly after them. But Xaku is comprised of several different warframes of likely different genders, so arguably they would fit in any spot they were put. Fun to think about!
Also, I can't wait for Ballas to go 'wtf' in Xaku's prime trailer. Or maybe we'll get a different presenter! I'd love for Grandmother to introduce Xaku Prime as if it's the most natural thing in the world and throw shade at Ballas.
Prime Resurgence
Right now Equinox Prime and Wukong Prime are gracing Varzia's stall, with their weapons Stradavar Prime and Tipedo Prime, and Zhuge Prime and Ninkondi Prime respectively.
But the stall says that they are due to rotate out on Oct 5, and will be replaced by Chroma Prime (with Gram Prime and Rubico Prime) and Zephyr Prime (with Tiberon Prime and Kronen Prime).
In addition, there are some special guests at Varzia's stall! Mag Prime (with Boar Prime and Dakra Prime) and Frost Prime (with Latron Prime and Reaper Prime) are also available to buy and in relic form at Varzia's, and have been since their Heirloom Collection was announced at Tennocon. The timer at the stall says that they will be available until Dec 30th, according to my math. So, you have until the end of the year to get them if you'd like!
Notes
This is still prime news (technically) so I thought I would mention it.
At the very end of the Devstream yesterday, the team mentioned that the Gotva Prime that was given out at Tennocon would eventually become part of Baro Ki Teer's stock, like other Tennocon and event weapons. No date or anything, but expect to see it there in the future if you missed it or want another.
Anything else you can think of? Anything I missed? Want to be excited about primes? Feel free to let me know!

BTC for character bingo
He.... Mr Rent Free himself... My One True Blorbo.... it took a lil bit but I made this just for him :)
Tumblr media
Bingo! My obsession cannot be contained. He is violence incarnate and I love that for both him and me. I am constantly stuffing him in a little jar and shaking it until something comes out. Head full, full of thoughts about him.
I would try to touch him and marvel and him and he would stab me. As he should.

Goodman-Lerhner Uniform 0.1
A collection of alternate mechs made by a knockoff mill, GLU doesn't have licenses or core bonuses, but if you want something like what you already have but different, GLU might have something for you!
File
LCP
Contains:
GLU Fisherman: A Tortuga Alt that pulls the enemy to you!
GLU Jotun: A Drake alt that is the Barbarossa but without any pretensions of being artillery!
GLU Capenter: A Kidd alt that uses construction drones to place deployables at range!
GLU Fusilier: A Caliban alt that loves grenades!
GLU Silver Kestrel: An Atlas Alt that is always boosting all the time!
GLU Swan Prince: A White Witch alt that is actually honestly a ferrofluid frame!
GLU Titmouse: It's named after a bird! A Dusk Wing alt that loves guns!
GLU Twilight Owl: A Mourning Cloak alt that is invisible to one enemy at a time!
GLU Scarab: A Manticore alt that Manticore pilots hate because it does not explode!
GLU Weevil: A Goblin alt that is basically the goblin but less fragile!
GLU Actaeon: A Minotaur alt that Does an AoE slow!
GLU Plague Soldier: A Hydra alt that deploys swarms!
GLU Direwolf: A Sherman alt strapped with an integrated particle cannon!
GLU Kodiak: A Napoleon alt that is built less like a napoleon and more like a traditional defender!
GLU Mongoose: A Barbarossa alt that is strapped for terrain demolition!
GLU Coyote: A Sunzi alt that really really hates it when the enemy teleports!
Probably not balanced! LCP is probably buggy! Every drop of feedback is appreciated!

Goodman-Lerhner Uniform
Officially, Goodman-Lerhner Uniform doesn’t sell mech licenses, it sells alternate mechs and supplementary materials that allow pilots to better customize their combat loadouts to their own personal tastes.
Unofficially, GLU is one of the most notorious knockoff mills in Union space.
A homebrew company not based on Licenses, but in a variety of alt frames. For when you want something that does something similar, but ultimately differently.

Every 21st century piece of writing advice: Make us CARE about the character from page 1! Make us empathize with them! Make them interesting and different but still relatable and likable!
Every piece of classic literature: Hi. It's me. The bland everyman whose only purpose is to tell you this story. I have no actual personality. Here's the story of the time I encountered the worst people I ever met in my life. But first, ten pages of description about the place in which I met them.

Starfinder 2: Operational
With the confirmation that Operative is coming in Starfinder 2, I think now is a good time to look at the Operative and explore what is up with the Operative and how it might look in Starfinder 2.
(I already did the soldier, if you care)
Because it was entirely possible that Operative could get axed. It isn't turning out that way, but it very easily could have, and I'll tell you why.
Operatives were originally just space rogues. Light armor, light weapons, skills out the wazoo, a special attack that does more damage, literally just space rogues. Now, mind, when Operative came out it was still notable: Trick Attack was strange an janky but introduced the idea that Sneak Attack can be done without needing the target to be flat-footed, instead relying on the user's skills.
Trick Attack itself is a bit awkward to use, but its impact is undeniable. A lot of things from Starfinder were beta versions of things that fully emerged in 2e. Really, Operative Stumbled so that Investigator and Swashbuckler could run. The issue, however, is making Operative run, too, now that it's getting an update.
That said, what we know about Operative's direction is good. Operative will have some manner of Aim action that somehow ties into its ability to do precision damage. This is great, because up until this point no class has been specifically built for ranged precision damage.
Yeah, both Rogue and Investigator can do precision damage with ranged weapons without too much difficulty, but they're not BUILT for it. Operative has both room to explore dedicated ranged precision damage and Rogue's high-skill assets. This could, feasibly, result in overlap with Rogue and Investigator, but it's far from guaranteed: even without new systems from Starfinder 2, having class feats and features that are built around ranged precision damage can explore a relatively undeveloped part of the system.
Not that there's no risk; Operative has a focus on precision damage and skills, which is... very normal. Investigator focuses on noncombat skills, skirmisher focuses on the combat maneuvers, and rogue gets that incredible every single level skill progression. To be honest, I'd really like it if some other class got Rogue skill progression, and Operative is a shoe-in for it.
But if it has rogue skill progression, and precision damage... why isn't it a Rogue racket?
Perhaps now you see why Operative is in a tough place. It's made to be space rogue, and unless it moves away from that definition it will be in a Rogue contest with the Rogue. This is not productive for anyone.
I do think Paizo can do it. Paizo has, up to this point, shown a lot of creativity with their class design and mechanic implementation. I just think that maybe Paizo has its work cut out for it in this case.
