As for the city? I like it. It’s interesting but there are many people I have yet to meet.” Gaining their respect and the respect from Khaya was the scary part.

“Hmm should I subvert those expections,” he pondered out loud. Viktor was hot he could not deny that. He would happily do things and let things be done to him by that man. However sometimes it was fun to follow the teasing. “Too old... So should we get you some slippers and a walking stick? Do you have to be back by 10? “The Staff of Caduceus is a popular symbol of medicine in the states though it’s supposed to be the staff of Asclepius. Long story short I was reading an article from the US Medical Corp when it was suggested I come so it was the first thing that came to mind for a costume,” not exactly inspired but it was easy enough to bring together. “Other than the obvious he is a legend, why Elton John? Was he your first choice?” he asked.

She took his hand and walked with him to get some drinks. “Okay, so tell me Cass, what do you do for fun? Since parties aren’t your thing, what is?” It’s not like they’d spent a whole lot of time together outside of work. At least not yet. She ordered one of the signature cocktails and was curious to see what he would drink, too. She didn’t really know if he could have alcohol or what and had never thought to ask before.

“And you are good at it,” Cass was definitely grateful to have Poppy around on the team. Sure he couldn’t eat her baked. treats. but she did bring a sense of warmth to the team. It was needed in such an environment. “Meeting at a bar, having drinks, socialising. I also like going to the odd club, but I prefer going to bars over clubs,” he told her. “I’ll occassionally go to parties though, just not a fan of more formal ones. Like more intimate affairs,” being work friends with Ace meant he got the occasional invite. He just. didn’t stay too long. “Just don’t stay long, what about yourself?” he asked. As they got to the bar he ordered a bourbon.

They really were a contrast in elaborateness, she could tell the taste of the other. The fancy dress, expensive restaurant, she had an ex with a similar lifestyle, Xia. But she had been too prideful to accept help and had left her, she just hoped history wouldn’t repeat itself. “I don’t think that’s strange, but I understand when others want a day to celebrate their love and let everyone else know how committed they are.” she wasn’t sure where she stood on it but she understood both sides of the topic. “I guess so, there are worse things to be weak for.” a little giggle escaped her lips but before she joined arms with the other her hand reached into her clutch “I brought you something, as a thank you for bringing me.” she pulled out a Zhezhi rose

Izzy and I think she is with my older brother Kang tonight,” at least that was what he had heard. “Marco, so prettty much any of my family that are here,” it was a unique family situation, but he liked it that way. “I have heard about him, Si,” though never met him and from what he had heard probably for the best. “So who do I have to prepare for?” He asked, wondering if her line was just as curious.

It was fun. It was fun to be with a man who was open to exploring, who didn’t consider toys and kinks to be a sign he wasn’t enough, but instead a way to enrich their lives. And who wasn’t afraid of bringing her into his dreams. “You have no idea how lucky you are.” Selin said with a smile, happy with him. “Oh my… Maybe we should go on a vacation soon then? “I think Selin would definitely be down. I mean it’s amusing what they get right and what they get so wrong,” garlic was hardly a problem. Garlic breath was annoying but not the worst thing to deal with. “Life is annoying enough to get caught up with things like that,” he shrugged. Though he knew Yue and Kisuke may not be such big fans. He could see the humourous side to it though. Young chuckled as he gazed over at Travis. “A paired costume even better,” he shook his head in amusement.

Oh, of course she had contemplated sending out some proper introduction invites for the past weeks since she was officially taking over and the previous leaders left. But Ceyhan was overthinking every single step of her way so much that she didn’t and just held back from everything. Being approached here caught her up off guard a little, though. “Hello, sorry,” she excused the fact that she was just sipping on her drink while being talked to. “I’m Ceyhan, It’s nice to meet you.” That was good right? Was there a way to be more formal? “Mhmm, I am. Both her and Daria are my cousins.” she confirmed.

There was not much going on in the city. Not that his sources were telling him. Which either meant things were going well or this was the calm before the storm. A lot of laughter too though.” Mostly from werewolves so far.

“I agree with you that it is funny,” was he the type to poke fun at his own kind? 100%. “Some of us don’t know how to have fun wouldn’t take it personally,” he chuckled. “So generic vampire bride or is this to do with Dracula somehow?” He asked, genuinely curious.

Young chuckled and his smile widened. “How lucky I am to have someone like you,” he did not know what would have happened if it did end. He did not like to think about that. He was just grateful to be with Selin and he made sure that he listened to her. “Some of them,” he confessed. A little roleplay while joining the mile high club was definitely one of them.

“I have a hard time picturing you at a formal event,” Poppy said and chuckled imagining it. “I feel like you’d keep pulling at your collar in annoyance. Am I right?” she asked, a teasing smirk on her face. “You can’t blame me for being worried. I imagine I am delicious,” she jested, though there was some innuendo in there. She scanned the crowd and nodded as she saw the ones he named off but almost choked at pink Elvis. “What? Who is Elvis? And why is he pink?” she wondered in amusement. “So, that one there? Good god, he’s huge!” she remarked with a laugh. “Yes! Please. A drink would be great and probably take the edge off.” Not that she’d drink a lot, but a little wouldn’t hurt. 

“I don’t enjoy them much if I am being honest,” clubbing yes, bar hopping yes. Doing a waltz and having a formal dinner... pass. “I... yeah I do,” he confessed with a chuckle, shaking his head. “Am I that predictable?” he asked. Not that he minded being predictable meant he was stable and people knew what they were getting with him. “No can’t blame you at all,” he agreed. It was an event from the partner of the Mayor he imagined that most would try and be on good behaviour. Though some of the guys here incase there was someone who was thinking of being an idiot. “Marcus, and he’s just like that,” he just liked to have fun and there is nothing wrong with that. “Yeah him and you can see why I would point him out to you. Don’t think anyone here would mess or would want to mess with him,” he had been squashed underneath him enough times during his first weeks as a vampire to know. Cass chuckled warmly and nodded. “Let’s get a drink then,” and held out his hand for her to take so they wouldn’t get split up.
