“Okay what is wrong with you?!” Your voice becoming more stern and furious as you questioned a very sober looking Damon. His body sprawled across the couch, his back slightly slumping into his seat as he took another swig of his bourbon before sitting upright. Your body stiffened at the sight of him as a wave of blur happened before your eyes and Damon was now face to face with you. Your lashes flutter as you look into his iridescent, ocean eyes that are now washed away and entirely consumed by sorrow and saddening thoughts that clearly clouded his mind.

Abruptly you suck in a sharp breath and part your lips but before any words are able to escape, he instantly places his slender finger onto the soft flesh of your lips hushing you instantly. You know what he’s thinking. You know how he’s feeling. His lean figure now towers over you but In a more gentle and calm demeanour almost comforting you. If you really focus carefully you can almost hear his heart beating while the distance between the two of you is almost paper thin. “Damon, you can’t-” your words cutting off as he trails those words with a slight whimper almost masking how he feels defeated and that no matter how physically hard he tries he knows that it’s always going to be Stefan.

His other hand slowly makes its way to your visage. His fingers cupping the apple of your cheek while his thumb draws slow, soft circles as if they’re multitasking , causing a tingling sensation to run down your spine as your cheeks flush of familiar warmth. Your heart pounds at a profusely fast pace as his head dips low, his bare forehead now pressing against your temple causing your breathing to twitch as his lips ghosted above yours. “Damon are you drunk?” You question the tone in your voice growing more serious and concerned as you look up at him through your thick lashes, a hand now placed onto his toned chest in order to keep the distance you owe Stefan. “What? Me? Drunk?” He responds with a slight chuckle, his hand now slowly slithering down to your defined jaw as he takes control over you now tilting your head slightly so your gaze cannot escape his while his thumb holds it in place. “But your acting like it- Damon you just can’t,” the tone in your voice laced with some sort of sympathy. It manages to consume you. The thought of having to face the hybrid control freak every existing supernatural seems to immensely fear and that too knowing that each twisted member of the original family is slowly weaving its way back to mystic falls but through it all you know no matter how much faith you embed it is fuelled by that of Stefan. but you can’t help at the nudging fact that a part of yourself desperately mimics that of Damon. The way he thinks, his actions, his feelings. The constant reminder of your heart twanging every time he brushes past you or every time that playful smirk he spreads on his face causing goosebumps to glide down your figure so how is so that you believe that you can spend the rest of your life with “the one” when deep down you know. Indeed you find yourself reminiscing about him. Reminiscing about Damon.

maybe this time he would find someone he thought stepping into the club looking around at the people finding a girl that was standing alone he started to walk over to her as he walked girls keep throwing themselves at him maneuvering out of the maze of people he searched for the pretty girls face finding her pulled over into a corner held by a obviously drunk man soundlessly yelling and slapping the drunk guy . running over he yanked the guy away "hey she said stop!" he yelled at him pushing him away "hey you ok?" he said looking at the pretty girl again . she nodded "thanks she said looking up at him kissing him on the cheek at once rob knew this is who he was looking for" im Rob " "(y/n)" she replied.
