Who would've thought 1, technically 2 characters very obscure in the G1 osmosis, would be one of my favorite toys out of the Earthrise line. Yes, we have both Runamuck, and Runabout, coming into Wave 4, being appreciated on both fronts from Hasbro to fans themselves. Runamuck was part of a voting contest that happened last year on who should receive a new toy for this year's line. Runamuck stood as the winner, and boy is this a real prize. He and his black brother have tight joints. And I mean, I don't worry too much if I had him stand on one leg and jump up and down to shake the ground. That's how stable he is. That's most likely due to the faux wheels they have at their feet, which is a nod to their original toys having that design. They both transform pretty well. Open the chest to put the head in, Roof over the shoulders, and snap the knees into the front car so the faux wheels can get flushed in. Both of which they transform into a license free Lotus Espirit X180. The Runabout that came later as a Target exclusive is different enough to get both. His head is different, and honestly, I prefer the black over Runamuck's white. I noticed I scratch up the figure a bit and it stands out against the white. Also some parts of Runamuck's car parts are painted in matte white instead of gloss, which is suspectible for damage. Still, you should at least pick up Runamuck if you can online. Runabout for all of you non-US buyers is going to be tough, but Runamuck is a fine addition to have for everyone's Christmas. Good 4/5 figure.

Hey Transformers Fans! I am at a dilemna where I'm open to suggestions. When I was setting up my Runanmuck for a review I'll be posting in a little bit, I noticed his toes look smudged. It appears that his gold painted headlights is slightly coming off. It's weird, but I know I had to press against the toes in order to clip them on, but you think it would, I don't know, be more durable? It's a surprise to me, is all. The second problem is with his back. I was trying to attach the Fasttrack weapon accessories in his COMBAT peg hole, but it must have been molded slightly smaller since it was giving me a hard time. At this point, I tried so hard that I ended up making scratch marks on his hood. The paint there feels like a flat/matte finish, but I'm not sure if I can cover it up with acrylic paint. I feel very miffed, but I'm a little scared I might end up ruining the figure's paint even more. So like I said, I am taking all suggestions here. You can answer my questions like this: 1. Is there anyway for me to actually fix my figure's paint apps? 2. What kind of supplies would I need to do so? So yeah, comment below, and see if you guys can help me out here to fix this. Thank you, in advance.

Part of me wishes I could take as pride in appearence as Sunstreaker has. I can sort of say the same for his current Earthrise toy. Really, it's the color that's been a mess for me. I try to mess with it earlier, but my photo editor doesn't allow me to change it in specific spots. So this is the best I can do. I don't know why anyone thought people wouldn't notice the color differences between the roof/chest vs. the rest of his body. It just peeves me off, that's what. So aside from this error, Earthrise Sunstreaker is pretty neat. He is a retool of the Earthrise Wheeljack mold we got from this year earlier (I own one, but he is locked up in storage at the moment, but take my word I have experience with this toy mold before). Even for a retool, he comes with a few surprises in his transformation. Wheeljack's arms go inward, with his forearms making up the side of his car alt mode. Sunstreaker's has his arms turn up, and his forearms become the back of the car, with his shoulders becoming the sides. His legs also have to turn around to make his car front. Though I wish some of his paneling were easier to hold together. His chest roof is hard to line up well. It bumps up and down on both sides whenever I push it down. It makes it look uneven and feel unfinished. I'm not sure what I have to do to collapse it right. If anyone has any tips, that be great. Overall. Decent toy. I give 3/5. If you come across it in the store. Snatch it up quick though because I feel collectors will buy this CHUG design in droves.

First photo is the Lamborghini Countach lp500s, sans the exposed Super Tuned engine. The next photo is the Earthrise Sunstreaker toy I recently got, in its transformed Alt mode. And then the last photo here is something I cooked up in Photoshop, with the Sunstreaker toy. I just erased some panel lining from the transformation, blurred out cracklines, tried to make a few color corrections. I did it because I wanted to see if how accurate the car mode is compared to the real vehicle. The only thing I'm a little miffed is the roof still not matching up with the rest of the car's color. It drives me nuts knowing Takara Tomy and Hasbro took a look at the 'final' product and gave it the OK. At least the photo editor I was using on my computer didn't have that feature to pick a specific spot to change. It's probably ridiculous to get upset over it, but I don't know. What would you change for the car mode to be better? Also any photo editors online that are free to help you change colors in certain secitons.

He's a happy little camper, isn't he? Yes, War For Cybertron Earthrise Trailbreaker has that close-to-cartoon accuracy G1 fans crave, say for a few liberties taken due to the design of the figure, but still flawed in articulation. He is a retool of the Hoist figure that came out earlier this year. I don't own that previous figure, so this is the first time I'm being introduced to this mold. His legs can pull off the one legged stand without any photo tricks. His arms, though, are floppy. They rest well on the truck siding kibble, but that also introduces another problem: They are permanently locked on the shoulders. They aren't on any swivel for them to back in to give the arms rotation to the back. They really don't look great when you bring the arms at a perpendicular angle. He has a backpack for you to open up and to pull up his shield generator and gun cannon or whatever those two things behind his head are called. The Transformation itself is decent up until you get to the arms. You have to be careful how you store the arms, because they have to be facing the inside of the truck siding that has tab holes for the arms to put in. You have his weapon that you can just plop onto his camper roof. I guess you can say it's a turret. Battle Camper Turret, lol. The arms are the issue I have for the most part, and the face could look a little jovial, considering he is suppose to be a cheery guy in the cartoon and comics, to an extent, but I still enjoy transforming him back and forth. If anything, I'll try adding some floor polish to tighten the arms a bit, and you should, too. Definetly a recommeneded buy. A 3.5/5 toy.

Hello, everyone! I'm DailyTFormers, who hosts the Transformers of The Day Twitter account. The past few weeks have been a little rough for me, and I want to be less robotic when it comes to posting. So I thought about putting up some better engagement with the few people who follow me. I'm going to start posting my current collection of Transformer figures and recent hauls. I'll be going over the figures articulation, look, transformation, and whether it's a good buy for yourself. With what you see above is the most recent toy haul that was delivered to me. The four figures you see above: Trailbreaker, Runamuck, Sunstreaker, Fasttrack, and the twins Fastlane and Cloudbreaker. For each their own, I want to give them some flair, y'know? Probably put them in action poses, to something a little more goofy and ridiculous. Again, it be good for me, but I want to take this opportunity to expand my "brand" or whatever they call it nowadays. First Figure on the docket is Trailbreaker.

After watching WFC I just had to draw Elita-1 in TFA style, or more likely, doing a manip of her already exsistent design. I’m really happy how it came out!

Rating Optimus Primes by father-figure potential
Of course I’m going to miss some, because I haven’t seen all Transformers series.
Tumblr media
Generation One: 10/10. Excellent father figure, the first and original. Loves his Autobots, a big dork, probably tells a lot of dad jokes. Also basketball?? Yes. Good boxy dad.
Tumblr media
Bayverse: 3/10. Too violent to be a stable dad. He’s trying, but he doesn’t seem to connect with his autobots on anything but a leader-teammate level. Also “give me your face” isn’t a good example for the kids.
Tumblr media
Animated: 7/10. Admittedly I have not finished this show, so take this with a grain of salt. He seems like he has much potential to be a good dad, but he’s too young. Rating may change.
Tumblr media
Cyberverse: 8 ½/10. A good awkward dad. He’s very lovable and huggable. He’s a shy man, but that’s okay. A fine new addition to the line of dads.
Tumblr media
Shattered glass: 1/10. Evil boi, doesn’t care for his Autobot’s much. One point because it’s Optimus, so he probably has some kind of fatherly instinct, but he aint a good dad.
Tumblr media
WFC: 4/10. He’s a pure dumbass, far too much of a dumbass to be a dad. He’s also a little too…everything. Has dad potential, but not a dad as of now.
Tumblr media
Prime: 9/10. He’s a fantastic dad. Cares for his team, will risk life and limb for them. Docking one point because he’s a little emotionally constipated, but he’s doing his best. Also he’s very loving, in his own special ways. A Great dad.

I don't think G1 Monstructor ever had official Boxart like this. I found this pic on TFW2005. Anyone know the credit for this artist?

God that Rattrap Kingdom figure looks so great. If it's suppose to be, like, 6 inches tall, I'm impressed witht the engineering. March can't get here faster!

Introduction, of sorts.. :)
Hello, this is @DailyTFormers personal blog space. I figure this would be a good place to connect more with other people. I like to use Tumblr as a general thought process link as I discuss my hobbies and what I'm currently watching. It will be mainly about Transformers, sharing my personal collection, give some insight on the property like their movies, comics, tv shows, etc. Of course, I will discuss non-TFormer content, maybe as a personal diary of sorts. Still working the kinks but follow me here on Tumblr, and follow @DailyTFormers on Twitter (https://twitter.com/DailyTFormers), where I highlight different characters from the franchise that get overlooked and need more love!
