Her name was Saly, she was five years old. She was like any child, she probably liked to play with her toys, she was probably learning to read, she probably like to spend time with her family and friends.
Maybe she would have been a doctor, or a farmer, or a engineer. Maybe she would have advanced the field of physics or medicine, written a best seller novel or stared in a major movie production; Or she might have had a quieter life, the world might have never known her name, but her friends and family would have and that might have been enough.
But no one will ever know now because Israel took those lives away from her, the tens of thousands of possibles that lay before each child burning like candle lights in cool summer night sniffed out in an instant. A last story shared by thousands of Palestinian children in Gaza.

U.S. conservatives always talk about creating jobs but get SO MAD whenever anyone mentions banning prison labor like imagine the insane ammout of jobs that would be created literally overnight if companies in your country had to actually employ people instead of using slave labor from people that got caught with weed 10 years ago.

I want to die in Gaza. I'm not very interested in my life, but please don't let me see my sisters die in front of me. Please help us evacuate them from Gaza. There isn't much money left to evacuate them. Please donate and share the campaign

This bloodbath has gone on for far too long. At the start of this aggression, the school year had barely just started. The academic year ends in just a month. Everyone, from first graders to university seniors, have lost an entire year at least. I say at least considering even if there is a ceasefire today, Israel had destroyed literally all universities in Gaza and damaged over 400 schools. Lest we forget also Israel's deliberate targeting of university professors and academics.
You absolutely cannot mistake the intent behind all of this.

The US dropped 270 million cluster bombs on Laos. Every eight minutes, 24 hours a day, for nine years from 1964 until 1973, a planeload of cluster bombs was dropped on Laos by American B-52s.

Colonizers write about flowers. I tell you about children throwing rocks at Israeli tanks seconds before becoming daisies. I want to be like those poets who care about the moon. Palestinians don’t see the moon from jail cells and prisons. It’s so beautiful, the moon. They’re so beautiful, the flowers.

New post, old one lost traction.
I'm a trans woman in rural oregon, and my partner and I just recently (april 4) had a baby in a way that was stressful, expensive, and a bit earlier than we were expecting due to a sudden health crisis. I have recently started a new job but it is unfortunately paid monthly and I won't get my first check until May 5. My partner had to begin leave early and although Oregon does have paid leave through the state the system to actually get that process going is extremely dysfunctional and we arent expecting to be paid through that system until sometime after their leave is already over.
We're mostly doing ok and yall have helped us so much, but we did burn a few hundred dollars in gas going to 3 different hospitals in under a week, not to mention incidental expenses we dont usually accrue like takeout food and whatnot while they were hospitalized.
We're extremely grateful for everyone who has helped us thus far and please, if you've already helped us out dont feel obligated to do so again, but we are stretched fairly thin for April due to these circumstances, so any financial assistance possible would be incredible.
Thanks so much everyone, love y'all.
