Finn x Poe x reader threesome / relationship: some smutty headcanons (NSFW)
What is this? No-one asked for this but I’m writing that 4-part Poe / Reader / Finn thing (Indivisible), and I don’t plan to write any smut into it as I wanted it to be mainly fluff. I don’t have the energy and I’m still recovering from smutty Nathan lol. He took it out of me 🥵
However, as I was writing, many smutty headcanons came into my head (I’m having smutty thoughts let’s just call it what it is I am thirsty, ok?) and it seemed a shame to waste them, so here you go. IF YOU SEND ME YOUR OWN SMUTTY HEADCANONS I PROMISE I WILL NOT BE MAD.
I’M SO SORRY DON’T LOOK AT ME.
P.s. kept it gender neutral like the fic so should work for anyone <3
Warnings: 18+ ONLY. THIS IS VERY EXPLICIT.
The sounds from out of Poe’s mouth? They’re divine. Especially when Finn fills him for the first time. The prettiest moans ever to have existed. You have to take a moment to just watch the beauty of this as Finn inches inside, Poe on all fours, Finn’s hands digging into his shapely hips and ass as he guides himself home. Poe buries his face into the pillow, only his crown of messy of curls visible until he adjusts to the size, then he rises up and presses his back to Finn’s chest, tipping his head back into the apex of Finn’s shoulder, his arms coming up behind his head to wind over Finn’s hair.
That’s when you get an amazing view of Poe’s hardened length, and you have to dive in, flattening your back to the mattress and wrapping your legs around Poe’s hips and Finn’s as Poe drags you down the bed and glides inside you. He folds forward on to you and before long you all find a rhythm, bodies writhing together, Poe inside you and Finn inside him. When Poe brags that he’s so amazing he can be a top and a bottom at the same time you have to laugh, to be honest. When your moans become pretty too and your legs tighten around him, Finn folds forward as well and you can just about gain access to both of their lips as they kiss you alternately, Poe’s stubbled jaw and Finn’s clean-shaven skin both feeling equally heavenly on yours.
Poe? In fact, Poe never shuts up in general. You know this already. The pure filth out of Poe’s mouth, especially if both you and Finn are working him? Like, maybe you’re throating his dick and Finn is readying him with a finger, then two, while pressing hot kisses to his neck. You’ve never heard things as obscene as the things out of Poe’s mouth. He’s telling you exactly what he wants you to do to him, in detail, his voice harsh like gravel and soft like honey. He’s telling you exactly what he’s going to do to you next when he gets his hands on you.
Poe’s a very affirming and reassuring presence. Did I mention he doesn’t shut-up? His number one priority is making sure everyone is comfortable with everything that’s happening, and what’s more, is enjoying it. So you better believe that he also affirms exactly how good you make him feel. The constant stream of praise out of his mouth telling you how good you’re doing? How fucking good everything feels? Praising you specifically? Like, telling you you’re doing something so well and you feel so amazing or so tight, or that he loves your fingers or your hips or your ass or your lips or your voice. Believe me that every part of you comes out of this feeling good.
Sometimes you and Finn find ways to shut Poe up.
So, turns out Finn has a praise kink. It starts off because Finn is less experienced than Poe at first, and super eager to please, and Poe is so sweet and reassuring, but every time Poe praises him Finn lifts his face skyward, his mouth opens in a moan, and his eyes flutter closed as if he’s about to nut right then with every gruff syllable out of the pilot’s mouth. “Finn, baby, do you have a praise kink?” “What do you mean?” “Do you feel like you’re gonna nut every time I tell you your cock fucks me so good?” Finn almost nuts. “Okay, yeah, I think you might be on to something.”
When they both start moaning? Fuck. When you’re pinned between them and their sounds are surrounding you, their hot breaths and pants sawing past your ear, billowing over your skin, their sweat mingling with yours as everything steams up? Oh boyyyyy. You can’t take it. You. Come. So. Hard.
Poe having those curls yanked on by Finn while he pumps into him? If you thought the moans were pretty before you had no idea until you heard that.
Poe taking Finn? Or taking you? Or being ridden by you? Making you feel so good on his cock? You better believe he’s smug af about how much you like it and how much you scream for him. You better believe that he is a T E A S E and he will edge you like no-one’s business until you beg for him to make you feel as good as he knows he can.
Poe’s MOUTH? Like, you can guarantee he won’t be shy about using his mouth (or letting you use his mouth and his face like it’s going out of fashion) to give you limitless pleasure. No matter what else is being done to him at the time he’s gonna sink himself on to your arousal like he’s starved and he’ll keep going until he makes a mess of you. Until you are pulling away and practically sobbing that you can’t take any more of these sensations. You usually come back for more though as soon as he flicks those devilish, half-lidded eyes up at you and licks your juices off his lips or his fingers with that supple tongue of his. His mouth can get you going like nothing else, and even when you swear you can’t take any more, he’ll usually prove you wrong.
When they BOTH put their mouth on you? A slippery mess of tongues and lips and their eyes glinting hungrily up at you? When they add their FINGERS? You have never come so quickly or so hard. In fact you’re too quick, Poe argues, so they’ll have to make you come undone all over again. And again, if you can take it.
When Poe decides to get kinky? Which he does, by the way. A lot. Wow. Like that time he retrieved your flight suit holsters and harness and strapped up your hips and thighs so he could grab on as he rammed into you from behind? Yes. All the yes. It was rough and hot and he loved being in control. His rich commanding voice almost ended you, but you were completely unravelled when Finn kissed your lips plump at the same time as Poe thrust into you, biting your bottom lip harshly between his teeth. When Finn then pushed your head down on to his cock so they could spit-roast you, slipping in and out of your throat and your tight ring of muscle in unison as your hand wound down between your legs to touch yourself? Unf. Let’s just say that you gratefully lapped up everything they had to give you, and even though they were rough enough you could barely walk the next day, you regretted nothing.
When they both fill you up? Damn you feel so full and naughty. But you also feel so warm and held and safe and you can’t think of anything more perfect.
They’re ready to go anytime, anywhere, any place. Or at least, Poe definitely is. Like, literally, Poe will do you anywhere and he probably doesn’t even care who’s watching. He definitely doesn’t care who hears it.
If you want them to be rough with you? Like, a little bit of choking? Or some breath play? Or some spanking? A little bondage? Some dirty talk or degrading names? Sex toys? Whatever it is you’re into, so long as they know you are safe and you want it, they will do anything whatever they can to please you, so long as they’re in the mood too. There’s no fantasy you’ve suggested so far that at least one of them hasn’t been keen to fulfil for you. Poe is particularly talented with role play and dirty talk. That voice, oh Lord. Finn is surprisingly good with ropes (as Poe can now attest to, his knots are inescapable).
Sometimes they just really like to come on you, so long as you’re ok with it. It feels like claiming you.
That look they get in their eyes when they’re both plotting something together and you know they’re about to converge on you? You know you’re going down and you know it’s gonna feel so gooooood. The anticipation drives you almost as wild as the act.
Afterwards? The after-care and snuggles are out of this world. Nothing can rival these two soft boys. They seem to go especially soft for YOU after what you do for them both in and out of the bedroom, and this is almost your favourite part. I’m talking whole body cuddles, one person lying across the other’s front or back with their whole self. The tangle of limbs. An endless stream of sweet, whispered declarations and endless peppering of soft kisses all over your skin. Again, Poe does not shut up. He wants you to know how loved you are. If your boys have been especially rough with you, then triple that. The strokes, the blankets, the snuggles, the soft kisses over your neck, your forehead, the tip of your nose. Strong arms surrounding you from all directions and wrapping you in warmth.
They love you, and they want to keep you safe. Since they came into your life, everything has just been a whole lot better. Not to mention a whole lot more kinky.

Notes For Writers:
1. Write what you like without shame
2. Your writing doesn’t have to be morally “just” to be good writing/storytelling
3. Being “good” and being “righteous” are not one and the same
4. Your writing doesn’t have to meet any guidelines to be good - just write it
5. It doesn’t matter if your writing sucks now. Get the words down; you can always edit later
6. We all have self-doubt. Yes, even the famous author you think could never possibly because you think they’re that incredible. One day, if you don’t already, there will be people that think like that about you. Keep going.
7. Your writing is not less important than anyone else’s. All writing has its purpose. Yours may not be something that’ll start a social movement, but it has a purpose to the people it matters to.
8. Stop comparing your writing to others. You’re insulting yourself and them. Your writing isn’t meant to be like theirs. Your writing is meant to be like yours.
9. You are better than you give yourself credit for.
10. ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE PROUD OF YOUR WRITING WITHOUT FEELING SHAME. It is not self-centered, conceited, selfish or anything similar to be proud of what you create. YOU SHOULD BE PROUD OF IT.
11. You’re allowed to be proud of your writing, even if you think it sucks. You are allowed to be proud of your writing, even if you think it sucks. Be proud of the growing you’ve done. Be proud of the fact that you push forward in spite your self-doubt. Even terrible writing has things to be proud of.
Remember: What you do is incredible and hard. Let yourself feel pride. Let yourself struggle and find what does and doesn’t work for you. Allow yourself to learn and grow. That’s what life is about - growing into yourself. That means creatively as much as any other way. <3
Happy writing, my friends.

Recently, I got a link to a Zoom meeting that ended like this:
DQMAAAAUCGxioRZBeXVxb2Y5U1F4ZTh2ODFaTFVBblVBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I feel it truly captured the head-desk vibe of our current times. And it’s this vague aesthetic I want to bring to today’s blog. So come one, come all, on a journey with me through the eternal frustration and confusion of the artistic soul.
Being a writer is a funny old thing. It’s a bit like becoming a parent, or being a woman who happens to exist. Everyone has an opinion on the correct way to do it, and rest assured you are not doing it right. Everyone has some serious views about your value, and rest assured it’s not quite enough. And everyone will let you know these things all the time on repeat forever and ever amen.
I’ve spent my entire adult life writing for a living, like actually being paid for it, with money. An occupation which just about pays for a mortgage and two kids, albeit precariously at times.
But because I haven’t written a bestseller, I am not considered a successful writer.
That’s what the external voices say. Oh, your hobby. How… cute? What’s your day job outside of your little book club? Are you a real writer? Maybe one day you’ll be good enough. Why don’t you just write a bestseller? Oh I’m not writing a novel either! Hahahaha etc.
But.
For ostensibly successful writers — that is, those whose words are in print and sold at airports, or who are read through the ages — it’s seen as a noble and romantic and intellectual and lauded occupation. An important one. After all, the stories that explain our world are the common language with which we understand it. Side note: we’ll come back to that definition of successful shortly.

creating sympathetic villains
[@/moonlit_sunflower_books on ig]
hi everyone! today's post is about creating sympathetic villains, because let's be honest, the antagonist is the best part of any story /hj. a sympathetic villain is essentially one whose intentions are understandable, but whose actions are not. i hope this post helps!
disclaimer: i am not a professional writer and everything here is based on personal experience and opinion. i am always open to respectful discourse and constructive criticism!
give them reasons
and i don't necessarily mean a tragic past. give them genuinely sympathetic reasons. maybe they want to save the world by burning it down. maybe they want to wage war on the politicians that have denied them life. maybe they want to secure peace for the people in their country, if they're a ruler. or maybe they've been denied and ignored their entire life and just want to be recognised.
whatever your character's motivation, it should be something that the reader can sympathise with.
give them a past
yes, we all love characters with a tragic backstory, but don't stop at 'their parents were killed when they were young' or 'their girlfriend betrayed them and now they're a bad person' (yes this is me attacking the shadow and bone tv show no im not sorry). any character's backstory should have depth and reason to it.
take loki from the first avengers movie, for example. he's a sympathetic villain because we have seen him before in thor movies and we know his relationship with his adoptive father and brother. he was constantly pushed aside and watched his mother die in front of him, neither of which could have been fun. and his relationship with thor is a really strong dynamic that makes the viewer want him to get something out of the conflict.
his past gives him context and reason and the depth of it makes him seem like a character rather than a symbol, which made it easier for the viewer to sympathise.
give them humanity
make your antagonists funny. make them awkward. make them bad at flirting. make them walk into a grocery store and not understand how the self check-out works. i understand the appeal of having an all-powerful fantastical being be the villain, but if your aim is to create a sympathetic one, it's important that they are shown to be human because that's what allows the reader to relate to them.
i know i'm using all marvel examples, but if you take hela from thor: ragnarok - she is undoubtedly the evil antagonist, but she's funny, for goodness sake. also cate blanchett is gorgeous but that's unrelated, i just had to point it out.
they are not morally gray
there is a very important difference between a morally gray character and a sympathetic villain. a sympathetic villain is one who is, undoubtedly, a Bad Character - they just have understandable motives. they do the wrong things for the (arguably) right reasons - or their reasons have been corrupted by events and/or people, causing the reader to sympathise with them.
a morally gray character, on the other hand, often has the wrong reasons and justifies them anyway. they do a combination and Good and Bad things, unlike the villain who does solely Bad things.
helene aquila from an ember in the ashes is morally gray because she makes hard decisions in the face of crises and is often on the opposite side from laia and elias. she's arguably a good person with hard luck, and circumstance drives her to make questionable decisions that play on her mind.
the darkling, however, is a sympathetic villain, and i'm going to elaborate on this much more now.
case study: the darkling
okay before we get started: i am NOT a darkling apologist and i do not think any of his actions are excusable. but the fact that so many people on this hellsite think he's a good person just proves how well leigh bardugo created a sympathetic villain, and i'm going to explain how i think it worked. and yes, this has shadow and bone spoilers.
the darkling is grisha, and through his lifetime he was hunted and therefore hiding and living in perpetual fear (his past). he wanted to create a safe place for the grisha to live and thought the only way they could be safe was if they were feared (his reasons). he also supposedly fell in love with alina (although his is arguable) and that could be seen as his humanity.
rule of wolves spoilers: the end of the rule of wolves where he agrees to make a sacrifice for the good of ravka also gives him some amount of humanity.
all of the above make the reader sympathise with his intentions and are probably smitten with ben barnes' face which makes it easier. however, literally none of his actions are excusable. he manipulated teenage girls, kissed alina pretending to be mal, literally bound her to his power with an amplifier that completely eliminated her agency, created creatures that blinded his own mother and cut off one of his students' arms, and attempted to expand a physical darkness to take over the entire world. excusable? i think not.
his initial desire for safety is what the reader sympathises with. but the darkling uses that as a jumping-off point to go completely off the rails and essentially lose any sense of boundaries or limits on even his own power, which undoubtedly makes him the villain. not a single one of his actions are excusable.

mundane scenes are important.
This is some unconventional writing advice, but here me out, because it's important and I don't see it being talked about enough:
Not every scene you write has to be essential to drive your plot forward. That's it. And your story doesn't need to be at high stakes at all times to be considered interesting, either.
Your scenes, that you include, should always be crucial to your story. Not important. Crucial. So, yes, it is important that your story isn't filled with scenes that don't affect or drive your plot forward, but it is also okay to include scenes in which your characters simply... exist.
Maybe it's not necessary to show your characters at work, signing papers at a desk (unless a dragon comes in and sets fire to the place or they get fired), but it might be necessary to have your characters invite a couple friends over, make some pancakes, and crack some jokes! A scene like that, while it might not contribute much to the overall plot of your story, will help bring life into it!
Giving your audience glimpses into your characters life, not only helps them connect with your characters, but it's a way for them to start caring more deeply about both your characters and the relationship between them.
Your story CANNOT simply be ACTION ACTION ACTION. Yes, it is important for your scenes contribute to your plot, but you can't forget the importance of establishing characters, as well as the world they live in and the dynamics between them!
YOUR PLOT IS ONLY HALF OF IT. If a scene is rendered useless in terms of plot development, but contributes in any way to the development of a character or relationship, it is not useless, nor is it a waste of space!
Learn what it means for a scene to be completely useless and what it means for it to be useful in terms of characterization, worldbuilding or exposition. You don't need to cut those scenes. Every scene has to serve a purpose, but there is a lot of purposes to be served.
So let your characters breathe, even for just a second. There needs to be down time. Otherwise the emotional impact you try to bring upon your audience won't come into play, because they have not been given enough time with your characters to start caring about them.

intrusive questions about your oc.
who was their first kiss ?
what are their goals ?
where would they go on vacation ?
what is their most embarrassing memory ?
what are their regrets ?
what are their biggest fears ?
how do they cope with stress ?
what keeps them up at night ?
what do they dream about ?
who is someone they miss ?
if they had three wishes , what would they be ?
what kind of music do they like ?
what’s something that holds them back ?
what’s something you wish you could tell them ?
how do they react to being confronted ?
what do they beat themselves up over ?
what’s a habit they wish they could drop ?
what’s something they don’t tell anyone ?
what’s something symbolic to them ?
how well do they handle relationships ?
