Crawford also refused to dispose of her falsies. “As part of her wardrobe, Miss Crawford owned three sizes of bosoms,” said Davis. “In the famous scene in which she lay on the beach, Joan wore the largest ones. Let’s face it, when a woman lies on her back, I don’t care how well endowed she is, her bosoms do not stand straight up. And Blanche had supposedly wasted away for twenty years. The scene called for me to fall on top of her. I had the breath almost knocked out of me. It was like falling on two footballs!” (x)

Burgonet
Armorer: Filippo Negroli (Italian, Milan c. 1510–1579)
c. 1543. Milan, Italy
This masterpiece of Renaissance metalwork is signed on the browplate by Filippo Negroli, whose embossed armor was praised by sixteenth-century writers as “miraculous” and deserving “immortal merit.” Formed of one plate of steel and patinated to look like bronze, the bowl is raised in high relief with motifs inspired by classical art. The graceful mermaidlike siren forming the helmet’s comb holds a grimacing head of Medusa by the hair. The sides of the helmet are covered with acanthus scrolls inhabited by putti, a motif ultimately derived from ancient Roman sculpture and wall paintings.

I’m a girl, my characters are females, yet nobody ever believes me when I tell them in chat that I’m a girl. then other females whisper to me saying they get the same thing all the time. guys, we’re here, we’re online, and we’re laughing at you.
Mod note: this happens to me all the time too, apparently guys like to assume that every blood elf on a slut mog is a 40 yr man with no life.

Someone gave my mom an old photo album. I really wish they hadn’t…
by reddit user sleepyhollow_101
Every once in a while, something very interesting will come into my mom’s library.
We live in a small town, so people often go to the library for answers, knowing that my mother has an extensive background in researching things like history and genealogy. Those are the people we get most often, actually: people with questions about their own family history. Oftentimes they’ll come in with partial records and ask my mother to fill in the gaps. She’s always more than happy to do it. Not only is she good at it, but it also serves as an acceptable reprieve from the relative boredom of small-town life.

Historical Hawkeyes
My next series is going to be highlighting a particularly well known alumnus from the University of Iowa.  In this picture, he’s shown at age six.  Can anyone guess who this is?  The answer and some more information will follow next Friday!

The studio was where I wanted to be. I didn´t want anybody takin’ my drums down and packin’ ‘em after I got 'em soundin’ good. It takes a while to sweeten a set of drums: drums sound like hellwhen you first hit'em - you got to sweeten 'em, take tape and your drum key and loosen the heads and tape pieces of leather to it sometimes to make it sound good. After you’ve got'em sweetened, you want want to leave'em the hell alone
