Vogue Part 2

Part 1 below

a/n Here is finally part 2 to this series. Part 3 will be up very shortly. I just need to figure out exactly where I want this story to go. If you have any suggestions or requests let me know. I an trying to build some suspense between the characters that is why I will be dividing this story into many parts. Trust me it will be worth it! I hope you enjoy!

Summary : you work at Vogue and Harry happens to be just as big of a fan of you as you are of him.

He looked at you completely shocked. “What are you doing after this?”

His straightforward question caught you by surprise and You laughed to yourself. “Well that depends on how the interview goes and then we will see” You say smirking

“I think it has a great fucking start, you just named my favorite books. I would actually love to take you out after this, what people read says so much about them in my opinion” he said genuinely looking at you which made you feel like you are the only girl in the world. You don’t think anyone has ever looked at you that way.

“How about we start with the interview Harry?” You said, not reacting to his comment because you have to get your work done and you need to keep him hanging a little, just for fun. Girls that are hard to get are always more fun.

“Of course love, let’s start” he said smiling with his dimples popping out.

“Firstly I must say that your two albums are big favorites of mine. I love the mixture of all kinds of music genres you used. Do you have any musicians or specific songs that you took inspiration from?”

“Well.. I grew up listening to everything, I love music from the 60s, 70s like.. I am a huge fan of Bowie, Prince, Freddie Mercury, Mick Jagger, the classics. I also love the Beatles and Fleetwood Mac. I am actually very good friends with Stevie Nicks and she definitely inspires me daily.” He says slowly with a deep voice.

“I can actually hear that in your music, I hear some Prince in the Sign of the times. These are incredible people to be inspired by. Do you have any specific songs you prefer from your albums?

“I would have to say Kiwi from my first album becuase performing it is probably my favorite part of touring. I will play it even 3 times at the end of concerts because the atmosphere in the stadium when this song plays is indescribable. I also love Cherry, from my second album because it has a deep meaning for me and I get quite emotional when performing it.”

“Like you cry in a cool way right?” you said showing an obvious smirk

“Ohh, I see someone has watched my videos” he said smiling a big genuine smile showing his perfect teeth

“Well I had to do a background check, I do it before all of my interviews so don’t flatter yourself too much” you said teasingly.

You continued “Well everyone knows that you have extreme success in the music industry but you have taken up acting as well. The new Eternals movie just came out a couple months ago, how does it feel to be a part of Marvel?”

“It was a huge shock for me at first, I think everyone grew up reading or watching Marvel and to be asked to be a part of it was such an honor, even if I was just in the post credit scenes so far.”

“You also have two new movies coming out this year, how has it been filming them and how is it different from being a performer?”

“Well, I have had a great time filming, it is obviously so different than what I am used to but I like it in the sense that it is not as personal, it actually isn’t personal at all, I don’t have to put myself out there like I usually do through music. It is do different and I thoroughly enjoy it. Especially filming my policeman because I read the book and I absolutely loved the story. I am very lucky to be apart of such an amazing storyline. I am assuming you read the book as well, considering your exquisite taste” he said biting his lip looking at you.

“I have actually and they did an amazing job casting you, I couldn’t picture anyone else playing the part. We have only seen your acting once before, in Dunkirk, which was fantastic, the movie had an incredible cast and showed the events taken place in Dunkirk in a completely different light. How did you get into acting in the first place?

“I like to challenge myself and do something different and movies are definitely where I feel most out of my comfort zone. I’m coming from music where I don’t think anyone really knows how it works, but I am somewhat in my comfort zone. It started as a challenge and now I feel amazing doing it. he said still looking deeply into your eyes.

Those damn green eyes, you said to myself, and that beautiful contagious smile. He really is something.

The interview went on for another hour and a half. You talked about everything possible. His fashion choices, what they mean to him. How he has changed throughout the 12 years. You talked about One direction, Zayn, who he is still in contact with. What he does in his free time. His childhood and how dealing with grief has affected his music. You ended up talking about things you knew wasn’t going to be put in the interview, it was just so refreshing to have a real conversation with him.

After the hour you ended the interview with one last question.

“This has been really insightful Harry, we have arrived to the end of the interview and I have one last question for you. Is there ever going to be a One Direction reunion?” You said laughing because honestly that is the only thing anyone cares about

He laughed as well saying “ Well, maybe one day. I can’t make any promises but I do miss my boys. I just think all of us are in different places, doing different things that make each of us really happy and I’m really proud of them. I think we have all accomplished so much on our own.”

You wanted to cry a little but kept your shit together because you are a professional. You grew up listening to One Direction so hearing what he just said meant a lot.

“That was great, thank you so much” you said looking at him with a sweet smile

“So tell me Y/N, did I make a good impression? Can I take you out?” He said smiling. It felt like the only thing you did during this interview was smile at each other.

“I have to say, this was actually great, I think this article will make your fans very happy. I do have some time but I have to go to a party at 9” you said looking down at your watch realizing it it already 5 o’clock.

“A party? On a Tuesday ? That seems pretty wild” he said with his eyebrows raised

“It’s my friends birthday and I don’t drink as much anymore. I had my fun when I was younger but I am way more responsible now” you said honestly, knowing you will probably have a couple glasses of wine and leave sober.. or just a little tipsy.

You ended up leaving the room, where the interview took place. You talked the whole way down and he excused himself to let everyone know he will be leaving now. Saying goodbye to every person in the building, thanking everyone for their time and hard work. He then told you he just has to find his manager, Jeff, to let him know he is leaving and that he will meet you outside.

You said goodbye to your friend Vanessa and told her you will call her later because she wanted to know all the details. You stepped outside to light a cigarette. You kept thinking to yourself how smooth that interview went, you couldn’t wait to form it into words that will be entertaining to read and create a piece that will inspire and that his fans will love. As you were thinking to yourself Harry walks out.

“I am assuming that vintage mustang is yours, am I right?” He said looking at your sick ass car.

“You definitely are. Has been my baby for 2 years now. I’m assuming the vintage Mercedes is yours, considering we both have good taste in books and clothing.”

“Yes it is, love. I adore old cars, they suit me better. How about we take your car and I will have Jeff drive mine back to my place. I haven’t been in a mustang for months, I miss it.”

“Sounds perfect, let me just finish my cigarette and we can get going” you said taking another drag.

“I didn’t realize you smoke” he said looking at you so neutrally, you couldn’t tell if he was disgusted or wanted one too.

“Oh yeah, it’s a filthy habit I can’t seem to shake off. I think I romanticize it too much in my head. If it bothers you I can put it out.” You said, genuinely concerned if it bothers him, because you don’t like to smoke in front of people who hate the smell.

“No, I actually quite like the smell. My ex-girlfriend used to smoke so i got used to it and I grew quite fond of it.” He said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

“Yeah I have it the same. I started to smoke with my ex and while he left, the bad habit stayed.” You said, realizing you are getting way to personal with him and knew you had the change the subject fast.

“So anywayy, where would you like to go. I am honestly starving, plus it would be a good idea to get some food in me before going out drinking” you said trying to convert the conversation into something else.

“Of course, love, where would you like to go?” He said putting his hand on your lower back.

“How about you surprise me” you said while putting your cigarette out and handing him your car keys.

You continued. “Let’s see how well you are with old cars.” You said biting your lip, showing him to your car.

“A girl that will let me choose where to eat and let me drive her car. You definitely are a special one.” He said with a smile showing his evident excitement.

VOGUE ( part 1 )

a/n so this is my first time writing a fan fiction and I’m really happy with how it’s going so far. I will be making this a mini-series or if it goes well then a bigger series.. with that I really hope you enjoy and if you have any requests just let me know

summary: you work for Vogue and Harry happens to be just as big of a fan of you as you are of him

You love your job at Vogue. It gave you an opportunity to interview anyone you have ever looked up to and meet a huge variety of people. You were good at your job, always made the people you were interviewing comfortable which reflected in the interview itself because it was easier for people to open up to you when it felt like a regular one on one conversation with a friend. You also loved your job and had a very high position which meant you were basically the boss of yourself, plus your coworkers were your friends and to sum up you were a lucky girl with your dream job.

Today was a very special day for you. You were going to interview the one and only, Harry Styles. When you were younger you loved One Direction but you weren’t one of those type of fans that knew all the lyrics to their songs or knew when each of the band members were born. You just enjoyed their music. When the band split, you were older and you kind of forgot about it but then when Harry released his first solo album you were intrigued.

You have been working for Vogue for about 5 years now and are well known amongst celebrities as their favorite person to be interviewed by. Throughout the 5 years you have met so many people and became friends with most of them. Timotheé Chalamet and Zendaya have become two of your closest friends, which at the beginning of the friendship seemed quite literally impossible but now, after meeting so many people you’ve seen in your favorite movies or have their songs playing on repeat in the morning, you have come to the realization that they are just people too.

You were staying in London with Zendaya and Tom Holland for about a week. Working for Vogue means you have to travel around a bit, which you cannot complain about because that has always been your dream. The interview was scheduled for 3 o’clock so you decided to catch a quick bite and coffee with Zen ( your nickname for her ). Even after meeting so many famous people, the moments before the interview were always the hardest. You don’t not know what to expect, how well you will get along with the other person and then you get nervous about the fact that the celebrity can be a total dick and you won’t enjoy the interview whatsoever. You liked going out with Z before any interview because she knows how to calm you down.

“Calm down sweetheart, I’ve met Harry before and he was lovely. You might get lost in his eyes but besides that you will be just fine.”

Zendaya told you after sipping some of her iced latte.

You laughed at her statement and light one of your cigarettes. It’s a bad habit but you grew up in Paris which is the smoking capital of Europe, so no one can really blame you. Eventually you will stop but today is not that day, you are stressed and need something to help relax you.

“He really is a gorgeous man but that’s not even the reason I’m so nervous. I love what I do and the main reason I do what I do is to understand these misunderstood celebrities and shine some positive light on them. I know how private Harry is after reading so much about him and I really don’t want to make him uncomfortable, because if I do the interview goes to shit.”

You say after taking another drag of your cigarette.

“Well as far as I know, you never overstepped any boundaries with anyone and also the first time you interviewed me, you asked me if there is any topic you should steer clear of, to not make me feel uncomfortable. You reassured me that I am the boss and that I can talk about anything I want to talk about and that you won’t push me to say anything I don’t want to. That made me feel better than any other interviewer ever made me feel and now look at us, we have been inseparable ever since.”

She said while reaching for your hand and giving it a light squeeze.

“This is exactly why I need you, I feel much better. It was either you or the cigarette but I’m good to go now.” You said while finishing your cigarette and laughing.

“I’m pretty sure I am better for you than a cancer stick but I’m glad you feel better. Just breath and smile. Ohhh and ask him about the four nipples, always wanted to know if that was true or not!” She said while taking another sip of her coffee.

You were getting up from your chair leaving the exact amount of money for your Latte and bagel with avocado and egg.

“Yeah, sure, that seems like a perfect topic to put into Vogue right after I ask him all about his opinions on toxic masculinity and who he takes his style inspiration from… but that is interesting, I might ask him after the interview.” you say smiling and going over to hug her and kiss her cheek.

“Good luck Sweetie” she says while staying in her seat waiting for Tom to get off work and join her in one of our favorite cafes.

After getting into your vintage mustang from 1969 ( the one John Wick had in the movie ) you drove to the destination of the interview. The drive took about 20 minutes, you decided to listen to some Harry Styles because it seemed fitting and you just tried to focus on the road as much as possible and not let your mind wonder.

After the 20 minutes you had arrived to a beautiful suburban area. You parked your car next to a row of Mercedes that all looked the same but then you saw one car stand out. A vintage white Mercedes that you have never seen in person before. You just had a gut feeling it was Harry’s.

You stayed in the car for a couple of minutes, you were a little early and needed a second to breath and calm down. You are a professional and very good at what you do, but meeting celebrities is a big deal considering it is your job and you want to write articles that inspire people. You always reach for the best and that comes with a lot of stress.

You get out of the car and walk into a beautiful building, which looked quite like a castle that was surrounded by nothing but nature. A garden full of flowers, a large meadow and tall trees was all you could see. It was a beautiful place to have a photoshoot and you couldn’t wait to see how everything will turn out, especially what Harry will be wearing. You have already seen the outfits but you can’t wait to see him in them.

You live for fashion, that’s obviously a big reason you work for one of the biggest fashion Magazines in the world. It has its benefits too, you get designer clothes sent to you daily and you love creating outfits and having fun with colors, overall you dress fucking fantastic.

Today you decided to look professional with a bit of spice, even though it doesn’t matter what you wear for the interview, you choose what you want to wear and no one can tell you otherwise but you wouldn’t feel comfortable pulling up in some sweatpants and a hoodie. Especially when you are going to be interviewing a fashion Icon.

You carefully picked out an outfit you know Harry would love. A nice brown blazer and suit pants to match, with a cropped blue turtleneck sweater with hints of brown. You added some brown sneakers and a small Louis Vuitton purse to tie the look together. You went for a brown vibe today but the kick of blue just makes the outfit catch a persons eye.

While stepping into the building you caught a glimpse of your reflection in one of the windows and smiled to yourself because you looked hot. You were so ready and felt good.

The second you stepped into the building you were met with many familiar faces, who all greeted you with wide smiles.

“Oh Thank God, the woman of the hour has finally arrived” you heard from behind you. One of your very close friends Vanessa, who conveniently enough works with you was already working from 10 o’clock in the morning putting everything together. She was the photographer for the shoot and damn was she good at what she does. You were a very good team.

“Woman of the hour? Someone is in a good mood.” You say while hugging her with a big smile on both of your faces

“I am in a fantastic mood, the shoot is going even better than expected and we might even get to end earlier because Harry is a fucking natural. And Y/N, I’m telling you, he is such an Angel. The second he got here he went to shake everyone’s hand, I’ve never seen anyone do that yet. He is very polite and he was asking about you.” She said while taking your hand and leading you to where the interview with be taking place.

“He was asking about me? I guess I’m considered famous around here.” You said sarcastically while giggling

You walked up a large staircase that was made of white marble. This place was insanely fancy, gave off a 15th century luxury vibe. You both entered a beautiful vintage looking room with red velvet chairs and a big red velvet couch. In the middle was a big wooden table with a variety of snacks and drinks. It felt like a room for a princess. It had paintings that caught your attention right away and many plants but besides that it was quite empty, seemed like a perfect room for an interview.

“You seriously are, he asked right away when he got here if you have arrived already and said he can’t wait to meet you, that he has heard so many wonderful things about you” she said while sitting down on the red couch and reaching for a bottle of water that was on the wooden table.

You were shocked. You are well known in this “industry” but you never realize that people you haven’t met yet, could possibly know about you. You obviously felt very flattered and was even more excited for the interview.

“Well that definitely boosted my ego, thank you for that.” You say with a big smile on your face.

“Yeah, thought it would, so I need to get back to the crew but here is the room you will be interviewing him, take any drink or snack and I will now go and find him and send him up. I don’t need to tell you anymore because you got this and if anything just send me a quick text and I will be right up”

After Vanessa left you went closer to one of the paintings and got lost in it. You love art, doesn’t matter in what form, if that being in a painting or a song or in a clothing item. You have always been mesmerized by art and the meaning behind it.

“Hello, sorry to interrupt, are you Y/N?” You heard a deep voice with a British accent behind you, you obviously knew who it was right away.

You turned around and faced him. He was Gorgeous. Taller than expected and looked better than in any video clip. He had a mask on that matched his outfit, same like you still having your brown face mask on. Even with the mask on, you could tell he was smiling from how his eyes lit up.

“Wow, Hi, yes that’s me, it’s such a pleasure to meet you Mr. Styles -“ before I could finish my sentence he interrupted me.

“Please, call me Harry, I don’t want to feel like I’m old.” He said abruptly like he hated hearing anything other than his first name

He continued “ The pleasure is all mine, I have read so much of what you have done and I love your work. You are probably one of the best, my friends have said the nicest things about you.” He said while reaching out to shake your hand. He seemed a little nervous which made your ego go up even more.

The second the compliments came out of his mouth you completely relaxed. He has the most relaxing and soothing voice you have ever heard.

“Thank you so much, I could easily say the same, I love your music, you are a very talented man” you say smiling and looking into his beautiful green eyes. Shit! Zendaya was right, you can easily get lost in them.

“Thank you very much, how are you doing?” He asked politely while letting go of your hand with a big smile on his face from the compliments

“I’m doing great, I can’t wait to get started. How are you doing?” you asked trying to keep the small talk going for both of you to feel comfortable around each other

“Well fabulous actually, was photographed wearing such beautiful clothing, how could I not be. You look wonderful by the way.” He said in such a ton you would think he was even flirting with you. Which you didn’t mind at all so why not test the water a little bit, you thought to yourself.

“Thank you again, you are very kind, I don’t usually get as many compliments in the first 3 minutes of meeting. Very charming” you said flirting back

He chuckled and before he could answer, you asked him “do you mind if I take my mask off, I am vaccinated and tested regularly, I just think you will be able to understand me better if I have it off. The interview will also feel more natural if you can see my mouth”

“I don’t mind at all, can I do the same?” He answered while sitting on the red velvet couch, crossing his legs, turning to face me.

“Absolutely, it will be way more comfortable for the both of us.” You said while taking a seat on the other end of the couch, which wasn’t very big to begin with so the two of you weren’t too far apart.

You continued “So before we start I would like to ask if there are any topics that you don’t want to discuss. I respect your privacy and want to make you feel as comfortable as possible”

“That is very sweet of you, Thank you. I would like to keep my love life out of this interview. I don’t like mixing my personal life with my professional life.” He said while smiling and showing his fucking adorable dimples. You caught yourself staring for a moment and quickly got back into the conversation.

“That is very understandable, I completely respect that and I actually agree. I never ask about past or current relationships, I don’t think it helps anyone to understand or admire a person more. It doesn’t tell you anything meaningful about the person you are reading about”

“I like how you think Y/N, I have never met an interviewer that cared about how I actually feel” he said looking deeply into your eyes, feeling like you are getting lost in them again

“I think the most important part of any interview is for the people involved to get along and feel good talking to each other. You can tell when the interviewer and interviewee are having a genuine conversation or if it’s forced. I take my job very seriously and I want to write an amazing piece on you” You said truthfully, looking at him while a smile forms on his face

“So let’s have a conversation then, what is your favorite book?” He asked you out of nowhere

You looked at him with complete confusion and laughed.

“This interview is about you, you know” you said, stating the obvious

“I know but I would love to find out more about you as well, plus you said it yourself, it should be a conversation between two people, I would feel a lot more comfortable if I got to ask the questions as well.” He said, smiling with his teeth the whole time

“Fair enough, but we will be here longer than expected.” You answered sarcastically, thinking he was just joking

“That doesn’t bother me one bit, you seem worth every second” he said biting down on his lip. Yep, he was definitely flirting with you. In a situation like this you would usually flirt back, especially when the other person looks like him but you didn’t want to give yourself up right away. You are smart with guys, he could be the biggest player and you don’t like to be easily accessible to men that you don’t know and don’t know their intentions. Plus you are a professional and want to get the work done, or at least until the interview is done

You just smile and reply with “Love is a Mix tape probably. Or Norwegian wood. I also love before the coffee gets cold and i in general love reading poetry. Sorry, you asked for one, I’m just a big reader.”

He looked at you completely shocked. “What are you doing after this?”
