INDIVIDUALITY: jourdun is seen as “seoul’s sweetheart but also as cut throat when it comes to music.” being seen on different music shows and holding different concerts, she well known for her rapping and stage presence.
BIO: born in las vegas, to a casino owner mother and father, jourdun pretty much had everything she could ever want. when taking a step out and wanting to do music, she had all her parents support. while this was something she seriously wanted to do, she took nothing but the cut throat business in training. she wanted the best of the best, and nothing more. jourdan knew she was gifted in dancing but it was the rapping that sparked her interest the most. scouted by a yg representative, she simply just trained with yg never signing a contract, it was from them, you would hear jourdan feature on yg artist songs or help choreography their dances. the young prodigy even release a few singles but nothing ever serious until she was ready. when The Black LABEL became about, jourdan signed and did her first two albums within the label. due to unprofessional situations, jourdun did not resign her contract with the label. it was the fall of 2016 when jourdun reached out to crown on signing a contract with them and joining the empire.

INDIVIDUALITY: up and down drew swears he’s a step ahead in his sense of fashion– he calls his genius esp, his sixth sense. the rapper’s fans would say he walked around looking a hot mess. fortunately his craft makes up for it and the sales keep climbing, and maybe the artist’s out-there personality has something to do with it too. 40′s marketed his own special brand of oddball, intentional or not, spectators come for the music, stay for the music but the antics as well.
BIO: the city of angels birthed disaster, or more or less a kid off his rocker, unwilling to settle down and listen. it wasn’t that he was dumb in the head, school simply wasn’t for andrew– he skipped, back talked, and straight up walked out. it’s a wonder he made it to high school. sticking his “lil’ drew” in some hoe who slept with the entire school populace wasn’t the problem. the problem was did his business on campus. expelled and forced off to korea from his parents, passing along their burden to auntie kim, drew found music and his talent for it. from 2006 to 2014 he floated the underground hip-hop scene, making a name for himself, rising the ranks until a meeting and an opportunity fell upon his lap. the rest? history.

BIO: thanks to her mother, cece’s love for music has been present ever since she was young. it was also thanks to her mother that she auditioned for her company when she was 17 years old. since her debut in 2009, she’s been going uphill nonstop. having never once forgotten where she’s come from, she has yet to become jaded even after so long in her industry. instead, she has chosen to become somewhat of a mentor to the trainees and rookies under crown; she’d rather be seen as an influence than just a ‘ceo’.

BIO: barbie has loved music since she knew what music was – her parents, for the longest time, used this as a bargain chip; her singing lessons, her piano classes, her guitar using time would only depend on how she behaved – and she always behaved badly. in the year she’d turn fifteen her parents decided it would be better to send her to south korea in order to purse a musical career, and also to avoid further trouble she was to bring. she worked hard for four years and then it was finally decided she would debut as 1/3 of sugar. it wasn’t expected, but she deals well with the idol life – many people thought she wouldn’t be soft enough or not appeal to the public’s eyes since she was one who’d never be their sweetheart, but barbie proved to be quite popular and she had promised to work even harder.

INDIVIDUALITY: Despite being a strong dancer, Ara is known much more for his visual than his talent. After debut, he captured the attention of the general public for his looks that have gained him a successful career in modeling and CFs. With a gaze that could make one shiver, and features that could make everyone who meets him melt, Ara lives up to his stage name which comes from the Armenian god known for his beauty. He separates himself from most of his bandmates and his peers for his individual style which incorporates influences of the masculine and the feminine without being too much of either, which has given the group a lot of attention internationally.
BIO: Being introduced to the world of dance at a young age, Ji Eunseo had been musical for almost his entire life. Taking jazz and ballet since childhood, he had developed a passion for the musical world that followed him throughout his life. This led to him enrolling in art school in high school. Although he had no intention of becoming an idol, he would eventually be scouted at a model contest where he performed a dance sequence for the talent portion. Since then, he has trained extensively, trying to polish his techniques and dabbling in different dance genres as well as improving his vocal skills. Through training, he developed a strong passion for music, working diligently to prove himself worthy and strengthen his skills.
