i think. this idea enchants me so much bc what i want really in a game is like a historical community simulator where i can make the fake people farm and live and watch society change over time, and the interpersonal Drama

downton abbey is aristocracy propaganda but boy did i love watching the fashions change over time, and shots of historical kitchens and stuff?? it’s like. a similar Thing i Want in my brain.

hey, sorry to be a bother, but i really need help. i'm a trans guy who stopped taking hormone replacement therapy because it was too expensive and weeks ago i also decided to stop taking my bipolar mood disorder medication because it is really expensive as well and i couldn’t afford the treatment. that was a VERY BAD IDEA, and i’m still feeling awful from lack of meds. currently going through a depressive episode so strong i’m doing my best not to commit unlife (like my bf says). i’m completely out of medication and i just am not able to function in this state.

if you could, please signal boost this post/donate! i'm not big on asking too much for help, but i really am at a loss here :(

also i am making a new post because i had to buy dinner and groceries for my boyfriend today since he didn’t make much at the traffic stop, and he was really hungry :(

esp like. r n i want to install mods/cc and set up my sims 2 for a “casual” playthrough of pleasantview because i want lilith pleasant to date a girl (sorry dirk i will find u someone nice too)

but that is too many linear tasks that need working memory

and so. i frustratedly sit there wishing i could play a game the way i want.

tip for healing via tumblr: blacklist everything from things that trigger you to only things that have just been annoying to look at. unfollow people you don’t want to see on your dash. unfollow that mutual that posts depressive shit that doesn’t help your mental health. block people who piss you off. etc. blacklist guilt trippy phrases. go to lengths to make your experience on tumblr more enjoyable and doesn’t have a negative impact on your mental health. you get enough of being annoyed and negative emotions in real life and during the day, but this is tumblr. it’s meant for fun, not to make you feel worse or affect how you see yourself. give yourself a break

b) i recently found “stealing thunder” by alina boyden

c) alina boyden is a trans woman, and this book is about a fantasy mughal empire-esque-world trans lady protag, and the author has south asian trans women and or hijra and or [insert other regional word] friends, and is also a cultural anthropologist iirc, so like, if there are mistakes she is coming from a place of care, but i can’t speak to like. accuracy or anything

d) but anyways tws for csa and r*pe and transmisogyny :(

also it is very hetero and i am sort of. gritting my teeth through those bits. but like trans girls who like men deserve romance stories too.

but this is the first fantasy novel by a trans woman about a trans woman published by a major publisher and if u have the audiobook ms boyden reads the foreward herself and i cried a lil.

ok. im excited even if it is not my fave book Ever, that it exists!!
