i lifted like. some of the plot of the personal shopper au from two different places and honestly it's funny because no one will ever know unless they're into very terrible 2000s horror movie remakes or cowboy themed law shows.

What happened to dream in the personal shopper au? I was looking through the tag but couldn't find it

oh! yeah, it was probably on my now deleted blog, sadly.

the basic rundown is that dream's family is rich and owns a lot of land. dream himself actually owns a chunk of land given to him by his father (who is a human version of dreamXD in this, named Xavier) and this land is... it's not super valuable overall but it does kind of sit in the middle of an area that's important. it would take awhile to explain the whole thing but basically it's zoned to allow commercial stuff and it's a county that allows gambling and it could connect land that quackity wants to build a casino on to the major center.

so quackity and sam (who is helping to fund the venture) want dream to sell. dream does not want to sell because he has plans for the land. (other people also have a use for it as well those two are not the only characters who are pissed dream won't sell OR allow a roadway to be built)

those two, with some help, break into dream's home. they try to force him to sell the land. they kill his cat. they beat him severely over the course of a few days because at this point dream is a bit of a loner because the whole thing has.... caused divides. he doesn't really have anyone and they know this. it's stubbornness that makes him refuse, really. (he regrets it later but can't admit it.) he comes out of this with a lot of scars, including a fairly bad facial scar. he also loses his leg because it was broken with a compound fracture and over the course of those couple days, there was a ton of nerve damage.

his family basically refuses to press charges and dream himself doesn't want to either so while it gets reported on, nothing happens.

after, he moves to a new home with a lot security and never leaves. he is not doing great, honestly.

personal shopper au dream is a gamer? if he played fornite or roblox how techno would react?

oh absolutely.

it was a bit of a side hobby for him! he did some faceless videos about survival/hardcore stuff. and he absolutely played some first person shooters.

i DO think it would be cute if, before they met, maybe they played a few games together? like at the point where they've exchanged actual phone numbers and are talking outside of the delivery app but haven't met face to face. it'd be sweet to think about them doing little emotes or something.

the first time dream needs to order tampons or something, he totally expects some kind of joke? like techno asking 'what no chocolate' or something but instead techno is just sees the request for that and some generic brand tylenol and goes 'oh hey they actually have some midol you want that instead?'

oh definitely.

mostly the mass amounts of energy drinks, really.

also those little tater tot things that are smiley face shaped and kids' cereal brands like fruity pebbles.

but techno is careful to like, not tease him about anything that might be sensitive, y'know? the energy drinks and smiley face tater tots are totally fair game, though.

one of the most important things in the horrible/happy au is that dream, in the prison and even in the club, has this thought of 'i'll remember this person, i can get revenge'. it's hard to cling to, sure, but he needs something.

and when techno and phil rescue him, they're angry. they're fuming about what was done. he hears them talk about how they want to tear the whole thing down but... they don't. it's not important right now. what's important is taking care of dream, even if they don't know it's him at this point. techno's whole shtick is destroying abusive regimes and dream knows it but all techno seems to care about is making sure dream is okay.

it hits dream hard, y'know? it's one of first turning points he has onto the path of healing.

I think art should be used as an outlet for our expression of the soul, whether it be sexuality, identity, trauma, or just self indulgence. I find art that embraces any emotion of the self to be beautiful. this includes art of your fursona or ocs, or characters you love or vent art, all important.

what hair styles do you prefer for cdnb on your aus?

oh!

i think it really depends on the au!

horrible/happy, i tend to picture techno with longer hair/mane that he often braids. dream has hair that's about a foot or so long when he's first rescued and continues to keep it long as 'rabbit' until it's revealed he's actually dream. when it's long, he doesn't do much with it but techno will sometimes braid it or put it up for him. afterwards, dream keeps it shorter! the longest he lets it go is about chin length.

for the personal shopper au, i know techno keeps his hair dyed pink! sometimes you can see his brown roots. he has hair that's a bit past his shoulder and does the whole bun/braid thing. i do think he might have a side shave or undercut. dream used to keep his hair short but has let it grow out mostly because he doesn't leave the house anymore. it's not super long so he puts it in a kinda pathetic ponytail.

selkie au, dream has long hair! like, very long, down to his waist. techno has hair that's about to his shoulders.

d&d au, i've thought about it a bit and i think techno would actually have short hair tbh. he wears a lot of armor considering he's a paladin. dream is the one with shoulder length hair that he keeps in a ponytail.

season two, techno is the same as horrible/happy and i think dream probably has about chin length hair. i haven't really decided on a design for him. rabbit dream won the poll but i worry about being too 'niche'.
