I took a stroll in my hometown sometime in December 2020 and went to an abondoned margistrate court which was set on fire sometime in 2010 or 2011 , i walked in the buildings and took images of what is now a home for streetkids and drug users.

The bubbly personality molemo magagane also known as nneinah the founder and designer of oil slick showcased her first and final year range at the annual Lisof fashion show which was held at the 012 central in Pretoria on the 23rdof November the show was filled with young talent from Pretoria and Johannesburg design students got to show off what they had been working on all year.

 The one collection that stood out formed was oil slick which was made by molemo magagane her range included a mixture high end street wear, with a flare of Dior inspired statements. I caught up with the designer while she was preparing for her final show she gave us a glimpse of what to expect (view previous blog post “Cristal meets nnienah”) I also had a chance to speak to her minutes before her collection was about to go on the ramp, she said omg! I am so nervous “I can’t believe all those sleepless nights, crying, and hard work has come to this Screams and jumps with joy* she also said that all her hard work is about to pay off and something she made people are going to see it all.

 In my opinion her range spoke to cristallikethechampage customers in the sense that my champagners are fearless, risk takers and wear whatever they like how they like and when they like it her collection is worn by people who are confident, and fearless oil slick is for that one rebellious soul who chooses to stand out and uses of faux fur trimmings were used, I love the faux fur shorts. molemo used all the trending fabrics for the season which are

Tulle, tulle is such a staple fabric designers such as Christian dior and bodega vendetta have used the fabric so I guess its safe to say it is hot. Cool street prints such as camouflage, and oversized sunglasses was some key accessories as well as clear-outs of blue were such as navy, coral and baby blue were used. The collection had an Avant grade street style feel. The crowed went mad when anyon wearing the track pants with the raincoat and fur lining walked on the ramp, BABY GIRL WORKED THE CATWALK! moles received a standing ovation
