y'all i'm sobbing i'm rewatching season 1 of the og icarly (for some odd reason i skipped most of season 1 when watching the og last week) and baby freddie being obsessed with carly and her constantly rejecting him really hits different like oh my god his head would explode if he found out that she actually loves him back much less them about to get married. i can't do this i'm not strong enough my heart is melting.

just wanted to add something here about seddie: what drew me to them is that they were each other's first kiss and the shock of her kissing him in season 4 but that doesn't make a relationship. and i haven't watched the original in years because the dan and jennette of it all gives me the ick but the seddie arc is so ingrained in my brain. if i remember correctly sam said she started to like freddie after he was lying in a pool of his ear blood next to a fire hydrant like what the fuck and they were fighting all the time making carly crazy being their involuntary couples counselor and so much more it's really kinda shocking the chokehold seddie had me in because it was so bad.

creddie's short lived relationship in isaved your life played out so much better and i agree with miranda that creddie wouldn't have worked out because they needed that time to grow and for carly to realize that she does infact love freddie and it's played out beautifully in the revival

i'm new to creddie tumblr but i have something i need to say: i was like a hardcore seddie shipper (also lowkey shipped creddie) in the original icarly even after sam and cat ended i was still wishing that sam and freddie ended up together because i'm a slut for a good enemies to lovers (example: ben and devi from never have i ever they're perfect) but the keyword being good and maturing is realizing that seddie were so toxic and didn't work together at all. the seddie arc was proof of that. but carly and freddie are everything they're so perfect together. the writing and nathan and miranda's acting is just so good in a way that this season feels so natural for carly and freddie to be together and i love love love love childhood friends to lovers like creddie give off such westallen from the flash vibes and they're one of my favorite ships of all time
