Was talking to a friend about Hyacinthus' simplicity due to spartan nature (not indulging in wine, jewelry, etc.) and realized that hey. they are this. Apollo : I made you a bracelet! Hyacinthus : Oh Apollo, you know I'm not that much of a jewelry person.. Apollo : You don't have to wear it.. Hyacinthus : No I'm going to wear it forever get off

Leto raises two menace of the children that have a weird obsession with dangerous animals/plants or any other, not very child-like things
Eg, Apollo exclaiming 'Kitty!' at every possible big wild cat and trying very hard to pet it (through the TV or the glass/fence, doesn't really matter, he still tries) and is very sad when his mom doesn't allow him to do so
(Him also begging Leto to get a Venus Fly Trap as a birthday present, getting it in the end (of course, naming it) and prolonged conversations with the plant while it digests flies)
- - - -
Eg, Artemis who has a strong interest in bones (especially fossils) and who has a whole shelf filled with both of them, different sizes and a personal story as an addition
(She also collects stained glass figures and learned who to make them at some point when got old enough)
- - - -
Both of the twins have like a billion of astronomy-themed books and lots of photos/maps of constellations or galaxies
- - - -
They love their mother very much and she makes sure to show the same

TW Workaholism. Tw Depression.
If Apollo wanted to torment Hermes, all he'd need to do is take away his access to music at the moment. Music was what was keeping him sane and coherent these days.
"You Can't Always Get What You Want" from The Rolling Stones' chorus would be a bit he'd play constantly in his mind whenever he felt wrathful and angry.
"A Spoonful of Sugar" from Mary Poppins would play on his iPod shuffle whenever he'd need to immerse himself in busy work.
"O-o-h Child" from The Five Stairsteps would play whenever he was feeling very bleak. When he was struggling to smile and be encouraging to others on his travels.
There were so many other songs that he'd play to keep his morale up. Apollo's music was arguably one of his greatest gifts to the world and it was the only thing that he was allowed access to that seemed to give Hermes even a semblance of hope and happiness lately. There was just so much to do. It's never ending. So much pain compared to the small bits of joy he can find. It could be too much somedays. Music helped give him perspective and eased his burdens when he felt like Sisyphus with his boulder.
"Thanks, Apollo. Thank you for keeping me going."
Aww, I love the idea that music, especially music that Apollo helped create, helps Hermes keep going! That's sweet!

Delphinia
~ 6 (or 7) Mounykhion ~
Celebrating Apollon and Aretmis, Delphinia kicked off with unmarried girls proceeding to their shrine/temple on the bank of the Ilissos River.
Tumblr media
Girls carried branches of olive wrapped in white wool in honor to Apollon. Delphinia is thought to be in dedication to Apollon as a god who controlled the sea and fair travel as Theseus had prayed to him for his fallen companions before he set sail.
While in mythos Theseus is connected to Apollon it is more likely that this day was in celebration to his twin, Artemis, as it falls on her holy day. In this sense, the women asked for Artemis' protection and favor. Similarly, maidens were associated with Artemis, not Apollon.
Tumblr media
Modern Hellenist can observe this day by celebrating both the Twins, though I recommend separate. An unmarried women might wish to offer to Artemis for protection and Apollon for fair travels. Men and non-binary people might wish to offer to Artemis for thanks for the protection of women, good hunting, travel at night, or anything else and Apollon for fair travel. You may also wish to thank the Twins for anything they might have done recently for you, or simply offering in thanks to build Kharis.
Traditional Offerings:
Offering of Olive branches in white wool (or yarn/ribbon)
Symbols of Artemis (deer, bows, arrows, antlers, the moon)
Symbols of Apollon (the sun, chariots, bows, arrows, lyre, poetry)
Traditional Acts
Offerings to Artemis and Apollon as Twins
Offerings to Artemis as the protector of unmarried women and young girls
Offerings to Apollon for fair travel
Singing Hymns to the Twins
Khaire Artemis! Khaire Apollon! 🌘🏹☀️
