The outside world might as well have evaporated for how blissfully unaware Steve was of anything besides Nancy; the way she continues to roll her hips on him as well as the sounds of pure delight that follow each movement drowning out literally everything else including the rain that was still tapping loudly against the roof of his car. He was wholly focused on her and the mutual mounting pleasure shared between them, wanting nothing more to bring her to that incredible high before finding his own.
His breath came in short rapid pants now as he inches closer and closer to the brink with each dip of her hips onto him, feeling her warmth take all of him in each time and reacting with an upward buck of his own hips. Brown eyes opening wide when she suddenly grabs his hands and pins them against the seat he's leaned into, (enjoying the asserted dominance a little too much) he stares at her with a lustful gaze and silently pleads with her to keep going because he's so close and he knows that she is too. He both wants and needs her to find that sweet release first, eager to please her and wanting her enjoyment just as much as his own out of this.
It's clear as day when it finally hits, feeling Nancy's body tense up against him as her walls contract around him. A series of moans follow as she rides out her climax with a grip on his hair and bite to his neck, rapidly drawing his own even closer. By the time she finishes, still trembling against him but seemingly determined to bring him to his own boiling point, he can barely hold himself back any longer as the wave of euphoria washes over him. Throwing his head back against the seat with his mouth hanging open and heart rate spiking tremendously, he takes a firm hold of her hips as he comes; fingertips slightly digging in (though not enough to hurt her) and crying out in delight as he guides her movements to ride it out. It was pure ecstasy and he was feeling incredibly high like he'd just been taken away on cloud nine to a whole other planet. He's still panting even as he starts to come back down, chest rising and falling in quick succession. After a moment, when he's finally finishes, he manages to breathe out a quiet, "That was incredible."
Those sounds he makes are like a drug to Nancy, easily audible over noises of her own alongside panted breaths. To know she's responsible for making him feel good only advances her pleasure simultaneously just as much as his touch is contributing to it, making it clear to Nancy that her partner's sexual enjoyment matters just as much to her as that of her very own. On top of that, there's something remarkably freeing and oddly arousing about doing this somewhere like his car, and completely unclothed and taking their time, as though the world around them doesn't matter. That adds an extra element of romance, making it all feel like something out of a movie.
She soon detects Steve's desperation that very much rivals Nancy's own as he peppers her skin with an onslaught of welcomed kisses, small tingles left behind with each one which accompany the intense sensations only growing with every rock of her hips down onto him, by now allowing her to take him all the way every time. Steve's little plea to her question almost acts as the breaking point for Nancy, and with a sharp whine offered in response on her part, she grasps Steve's hands and pins them against the back seat he's sitting up against, one on either side of his head; although the hold is relatively loose as she loses her composure more and more.
"Then... please..." she practically whimpers, every word taking real effort now. There's no time to finish the sentence as Nancy's climax grows and suddenly hits, her body seizing, hands releasing Steve's in order to grab a handful of his hair and bury her face in the space between his neck and shoulder, the latter of which is then treated to a small bite as she cries out repeatedly through the intense, all-encompassing ecstasy, body tremoring and squeezing around him. The next utterance of Steve's name is weak and barely audible, and Nancy continues to move throughout the whole thing nonetheless, determined to bring him to the tipping point shortly after herself.

Steve nods in agreement, making a note to pick up some more hair wax and pomade for his hair to achieve the desired look. He'd also have to work another viewing of Grease into his schedule, though he wasn't overly thrilled about rewatching the musical. However, he wanted to get the styling correct for the costume and it would help to have a visual refresher.
Scoffing in disbelief over the ridiculous gossip surrounding this Billy guy, he's even more unimpressed by him; mouth twitching in irritation. "I've been carrying this whole damn team on my back for four years now, there's no way this asshole is gonna steal my thunder and take credit for it if we make State this year." Jennifer really needed to stop stroking this guy's ego before he's even proven anything other than apparently being slightly attractive to the female gaze. He manages a small grin though as Alice mentions her gentle reminder to Jennifer about the fact he had just stated. "See? This is why you're my best friend. I can always count on you to have my back when people start talking stupid."
It was ridiculous though. Hawkins is a small town, so stupid little things like new folks moving in tended to make headlines here. Did they really need to make such a huge deal out of it though? "If the most exciting thing about him is that he's from California, then people really need their heads examined. Like who gives a shit? People move all the time and it's not like he's Tom Cruise."
[ @crawlingforwardx]
"Nope," Alice agrees. "It's all about the leather jacket, the pompadour, and that 1948 Ford De Luxe."
And Travolta's ass, but that's a detail better left unmentioned, given that it's not one Steve would notice or appreciate.
She smiles, because they are the King and Queen, even if there have been more than a few days since Homecoming where it's felt like her hold on her respective crown's been slipping. Given the full story she'd painstakingly coaxed out of Sheryl after the dance--that Alice had used her wiles to steal Steve away from Tina during their blink-and-you'll-miss-it relationship--she's not surprised. Annoyed, but not surprised. Girls tended to back each other about those sorts of things, even if they didn't always like the girl who'd been 'wronged'.
Alice has undone most of the social damage Tina's bullshit sob story had wrecked, thanks to putting the 'real story' into the right ears, but they need to put her in her place at her own party to solidify Alice's position as Queen for the rest of the year.
They can't afford not to.
"Jennifer thinks he's got some edge to give us a better chance at State this year," she scoffs. "I gently reminded her that we don't need some new guy from California for that, not with you as captain."
The song changes and she picks the case up out of the cupholder, pushing her sunglasses up onto her head to double check how many tracks are left before they'll have to flip to Side 'B'. "It's like all the brain cells in her head vaporized the minute she laid eyes on a boy she hasn't flirted with yet. I'm almost glad she wasn't the one to steal the crown at Homecoming. I'd hate to lose to somebody who's impressed with a guy for changing his zip code."

It would take some adjustment getting used to a whole new place. He had gotten so comfortable in his old life back in Hawkins that it's hard not to notice the absence of certain things, like how Robin isn't on shift with him at this new Family Video because she's still at the one back home or how Dustin isn't around to goad him for something or other. While he misses that familiarity and his friends in general, he's still happier than ever and enthusiastic about this new chapter in their lives. He has Nancy and they're going stronger than ever, which is pretty much the dream he had shared with her in motion.
After lifting boxes and trudging up and down stairs for a majority of the day, a trip to the grocery store sounds like a nice break. It's a chore but it's not a particularly exhausting one, plus it would be nice to cook an actual dinner together instead of another night of take-out. Smiling softly as she offers him praise for his finished task and kisses his shoulder, he turns around to face her once she draws back and presses a brief kiss of his own to her lips. "Thanks." He murmurs before reaching for the keys he had slid into his pants pockets. "I can drive. Do you already have your list together? Maybe we can get something quick and easy to make for dinner." Since it was already a bit late in the day to plan for anything that might take a bit of prepping. Slipping out of the storage room with her to head downstairs, he tacks on as a joke, "Not to brag, but I make a mean Kraft mac 'n cheese."
She's still getting used to all this, sometimes completely forgetting it's even real when she wakes up in the morning until she finds him beside her. It's fair, Nancy supposes, given that it's only their first few days and an adjustment period generally takes longer than that. All she knows is that she's happy, deeply and sincerely, and Steve seems to be too. Of course, she misses her family and friends a little already, that homesickness settling in slightly, but she has no regrets. This is the dream scenario she'd thought about ever since they'd rekindled their relationship.
Steve's sweater feels soft against her face, his body giving off a kind of warmth likely generated from the box-moving and lifting effort. With that in mind, it probably is a good time for a mutual break and doing something together before they carry on. "Good job," she encourages upon hearing that he's done with the boxes, planting a kiss to his shoulder. "Mm-hmm," Nancy hums next, drawing back so Steve can move. "Do you mind driving? I'm making a list of other stuff we need, and I might think of extra things to add to it on the way."

The BMW was like a sauna at this point with small beads of sweat glistening across his forehead and skin from a combination of the car's heater still running and their mutual exertion as well as the overall closeness of their bodies. He was cold before but he's definitely all warmed up now, especially as she keeps up a steady fast-paced rhythm while she rides him. His grunts of delight are more frequent in occurrence now as the rest of his body buzzes and quivers with pleasure, every little touch sending bolts of electricity through him and making him want her all the more. "Oh God, Nance..." he practically moans her name, eyes closing shut while he continues to palm her breasts; giving each a more firm squeeze to keep adding to her pleasure.
This is definitely a position he could see them revisiting on a regular basis, he thinks to himself; feeling the pressure continue to build toward his peak with each roll of her hips. "Mmph," he hums as Nancy suddenly and unexpectedly grips him by the hair on the back of his head and plants a heated kiss on his mouth before going hungrily for his neck, undoubtedly leaving her mark there. He could sense that she was getting close with her actions and movements more variable and full of need as she chases after it. Her soft curse in his ear followed by the harsher movement of her hips has his stomach twisting into pleasant but almost unbearable knots as he was closing dangerously in on his own climax. Desperate and incredibly unfocused at this point, he starts sloppily kissing her anywhere that he can reach; her lips, her jaw, the side of her neck, along her shoulders and the tops of her breasts. Only pulling back when she whispers a question to him, his lustful glazed-over eyes meet her own as he tries to form some kind of a verbal response. "Mhm," he manages with considerable effort, tacking on a small plea of, "Please."
It's amazing having control over this, for her own movements to be responsible for the look on Steve's face, the way he grips onto her for dear life. It ignites something in Nancy she'd never known before, making it clear to her that she apparently likes to be in charge at least for a portion of their lovemaking. How can she not, when Steve reacts in a way that she can't get enough of? And she has plenty of those of her own too, evidenced by the way his wandering touch makes her breath hitch and body shiver when his focus directs upon her breasts again. "Steve," she repeats a little more breathlessly, tipping her head back to just feel him in every way possible without halting her motions; walls squeezing around him at the same time.
When she looks back his way after a few minutes, Nancy grasps the back of his head and kisses Steve on the mouth firmly but abruptly in favor of focusing a series of kisses across his neck again, her actions becoming a little more erratic as pleasure builds. It goes so far that she suckles a small red mark to the surface of his skin without thinking about it, a soft curse muttered against him after. "Fuck, Steve..." Her cheeks burn, vaguest remnants of modesty holding on for dear life. She wants to be able to say things to him; both to communicate and to spur him on further. Riding him a little harder, she pushes through that last inhibition and whispers softly. "Do... do you wanna come like this?"

It was a bit surreal to be so far away from their hometown but he's no less optimistic about this big life change, which was truly a good thing for them both. Their new place is significantly smaller than the large residence Steve had grown so accustomed to living in yet he already finds it infinitely more homey. A big part of that has to do with the fact that he would no longer be coming home to an empty house now that Nancy was living underneath the same roof as him. It's not like he expected a mansion anyway and for being a little starter house, this is pretty damn cozy for what it is. He can see a lot of potential in it.
As per usual, Nancy already has a plan together and she's the one calling the shots. Steve is given the task of carrying some boxes up to the (for now) designated storage room while she focuses her energy on fixing up their kitchen. Dressed in an old Hawkins High sweater and some gray sweatpants, he makes several trips from the car to the upstairs with all the miscellaneous-labeled boxes that were left in the backseat. Once he finally lugs the last box up and stacks it neatly on top of the others, he takes a deep breath from the workout he just had and wipes away the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. He's thinking about going to grab a glass of water before he starts going through everything but that thought is interrupted by a loving embrace from behind as Nancy rests her cheek against his shoulder. A contented sigh sounds from him as he softly tilts his head to rest against hers. "This room is done, save for all the boxes we need to go through." He murmurs to her, a soft smile gracing his lips as his hands slip over hers. "We should make a trip to the grocery store then. We passed one on our way here, just a few streets up."
It still hasn't quite sunk in that Hawkins, the town that was Nancy's constant all her life and which she'd helped to save with her friends, is close to 1,000 miles away from here, and that the house they're now living in is no longer the Wheeler house, but a Wheeler-Harrington house that's hers and Steve's. It's smaller and more modest than Steve's old family home, but it's in a picturesque enough location and spacious enough for them both, with a guest room to use as storage for now. Of course, that will swiftly change when Mike, Robin, Dustin or any of their other friends announces a visit to their new home. A home that's all theirs.
Nancy's focus once they'd arrived, along with both new and old items for the house, was the kitchen and lounge, and she's been working in the former all morning, curled hair tied up in a high bun, clad in loose denim overalls as she moved about the room, cleaning and arranging, and occasionally adding to her growing list of things that spring to mind that they need to buy on top of groceries. Assigning Steve with the job of taking the rest of the boxes to the guest-turned-storage room, Nancy completes her tasks and heads up the stairs to find him. Her greeting is a gentle stroke to the hair on the back of his head, cheek resting against his shoulder in a loose embrace from behind. "Kitchen's done. Now we just need to get some food to go with it."

Steve makes a face at his assumptions, once again proving that Eddie didn't know a single thing about him. Of course, most people were of the same type of thinking since that image most people had of him never really went away. He would always be that rich popular douchebag from high school, no amount of changing would completely scrub that away. "Actually, I haven't cared about that in a really long time. Here's a little perspective from an actual graduate, Munson: None of that high school bullshit actually matters in the real world." He had really only learned that more recently with Robin, who was nowhere near the ballpark of being 'popular' by his definition yet had become his best friend regardless of the fact. It was better to be liked for who you are than what people want you to be. He was definitely happier for it.
It was obvious bait made even more obvious by Eddie's shit-eating grin that accompanies Steve's reaction to it but he couldn't seem to help himself. Even after being broken up for well over a year now, he was still hung up on her. "I'm not scared, I just don't want you within a fifty foot radius of her." Especially if he was gonna try to flirt with her because that was not going to go over well with him. Jealousy could be a cute trait on certain people but Steve was not one of them. Pursing his lips in irritation, he swats Eddie's hand away from his shoulder before swiftly following after him inside, once again taking the bait.
"Hey! I'm serious, Munson, she's off limits. OFF LIMITS. She's not involved in this." He huffs out as he grabs for the back of his jacket and starts directing him toward a group of girls. "Take your pick of anyone else. Or better yet, grab a drink first and smoke a joint." Because maybe it was better he didn't interact with anyone.
@crawlingforwardx
"You must be seething that you're no longer the golden boy of Hawkins High." To be fair, Eddie was also seething. For different reasons. He didn't give a fuck about basketball but he hated Jason Carver and everything he stood for. Seeing his face all over the school and hearing his name made him sick. Only a little while longer. Eddie was gonna graduate this time. For real.
Aha! There it was! The reaction Eddie was waiting for this entire time. Eddie was pretty damn good at getting a rise out of people but so far Steve had been pretty calm about everything he'd said. All that button pushing for nothing! Until now. Eddie was grinning like a madman upon hearing how defensive Steve sounded when Nancy was brought up. "Sounds like you're a little scared I might win this bet." A hand went to Steve's shoulder, giving it a little squeeze, "Don't worry, Harrington. I don't kiss and tell. I'll respect her honor." And with that, Eddie stepped into the stranger's home, trying to find the bar… and Nancy, if only to talk to her just to annoy Steve.

A small grin tugs at the corners of his mouth as warms the charm back up and catches the surprise reflecting in her eyes. He hears Robin make some kind of a disapproving or disgusted noise from the back room but he isn't all that fazed by it with his attention focused elsewhere. It was both a test to see if the hat had truly been the problem and genuine interest since Chrissy is actually quite pretty and he likes her smile. Frankly it's a very nice smile; one of those 'light up the room' types that could turn a whole mood over.
Brown eyes glittering with attentiveness, he studies her reaction to the question before frowning when a customer walks in and she turns away from him to deal with that. The actual working portion of being here was easily the worst part, even if that was the whole point of having a job. However, his gaze is still fixed on her as he waits and he can't help noticing the occasional flicker in his direction or the giggle that would follow. That was definitely a good sign, which made him feel better about his earlier strike outs with female customers.
When the customer leaves with their ice cream and she turns back to him, he waits in anticipation of her response; scoffing in disbelief as she finally vocalizes it. "You're not the 100th in line. I was saving the best for last," he defends, pulling a more cutesy type face. "What if I said I think you have a nice smile? Would you still say no?"
❝Oh!❞ Eyes blink back in SURPRISE at his question and her smile ticks up even WIDER than it was a moment ago. Was he asking for REAL, or was it just a game like her little diagnosis had been? Pale skin darkened just a touch across the bridge of her nose and she couldn't hold his GAZE longer than a few seconds before she half turned away with a little giggle. That SURELY shouldn't be taken as her answer was no though, in all reality it would have LIKELY been a yes. But with her and Jason just now casually starting to spend more time together as PERHAPS more than friends, she wasn't even sure if she COULD say yes.
With the half turn, Chrissy NOTICED a customer walk into the shop, so with a saved by the bell kind of sigh on her lips, she addressed them the way CORPORATE wanted her to. It was stupid, but they were the ones signing her checks, she couldn't just NOT do it. As she took the older gentlemans order however, her attention was SPLIT. Every other second, her eyes FLITTED towards Steve and another giggle would burst forth beneath her breath much to the displeasure of the customer. ❝Here you go sir, have a GREAT day.❞ Handing over the ice cream was easy, and once again they were the ONLY ones in the entire store. Oh yeah, they definitly didn't need all three workers on shift, but she wasn't complaining. It was fun. Chrissy then licked her lips a little SHEEPISHLY and looked him up and down before deciding to just be bold and CONTINUE their little game. ❝I dunno. You've asked every OTHER girl besides me. How would I know what my answer would be? Being 100th in line kinda hurts you know.❞

As a co-captain of the swim team and certified lifeguard of three years, he was technically going against the rules of the pool by pulling her under the water with him. This wasn't the public pool though and rules had never really stopped him from having his fun (or taking revenge in this case) before. If anything, a little rule breaking only added to the adrenaline.
Still laughing upon resurfacing with her, he feels the kindling of a friendship starting to form between them and he's rather pleased with his decision to drop by. Fun was a little harder to come by these days between working, navigating his path and continual growth in life, and the unending Upside Down drama but Heather was one of those people like Robin who made it effortless. A half-smirk forms as she relents to the fact that he could still have fun before then going on to scold him for breaking the number one rule of safety in the pool. "Haven't you heard? The rules don't apply to me." He argues with a dismissive and playful splash toward her, the roguish glint to his eyes still present. "Honestly, are we sure I'm the one that needs to prove I'm still fun? Cause I don't know, Holloway. All this talk about rules... Maybe it's you that needs to be prove something."
That was bordering dangerous territory because Steve was a well known flirt and he could dish it back as easily as he receives it. It was all in good fun though. "Mouth-to-mouth? Don't threaten me with a good time. Maybe I should be irresponsible more often then. Want to dunk me real quick?" There's a playful edge to his tone as he winds her up in return before following in suit and swimming toward the edge of the pool as she suggests a race. The competitive nature in him would never allow him to turn down such an offer, especially since competitive swimming was something he actually really misses from his high school days.
"Count me in. Should we spice it up a little? Loser has to do something?" He asks, gripping onto the pool's edge and lifting himself up out of the water.
That mixture of goofy and playful teamed up with genuine skill, like the kind Steve demonstrates when he dives into the water just as smoothly as she had, if not more so, is highly appealing to Heather. That combined with the distracting sight of him all wet now might be part of the reason Steve gets the jump on her with the sudden splash, her reflexes kicking in only at the last minute. The impromptu water fight Steve initiates teamed with his goading remarks makes it easy to seek out revenge however, especially if it's only going to escalate their little battle and bring out more of that roguish side she knows well and admittedly likes.
The retaliation is successful, a bark of triumphant laughter uttered when Heather gets him in the face, but it's short-lived when a threat of Steve's own follows. She makes a panicked noise, adrenaline rushing, and she hurriedly tries to dodge away from him in the water, but it's too late. An excited scream tears through her throat when his arms close around her waist, and she's lifted all too easy in his grip. "...Steve, no—!" Another brief scream follows before she's then put underwater again by his hand, resurfacing moments later with a gasp.
Tumblr media
Her hands sweep down her face, blinking the water from her eyes and finally Heather finds herself laughing all over again, elated that he paid her a visit and it all led to this. It's more fun than she's had in a long time, as sad as it is to admit even only to herself. So, she has to shrug to his insistence about still being fun in a relenting fashion, unable to argue with that sentiment. "Okay, I'm convinced. You've forgotten one of the golden rules of swim safety, though." She moves a little closer, putting on her sternest lifeguard voice and expression, although it's still all in jest. "No dunking."
A smirk forms again before she can stop it, and she slowly backs off. "If that little move you pulled went wrong, you would've had to give me mouth-to-mouth. So irresponsible, Harrington." It's clear she's just trying to wind him up, and she casually swims to one end of the pool, holding onto the side. "...How about a race? Kinda wanna see how I do against the former captain of the swim team."
