Bigots in leftist communities are usually not infiltrators or invaders purposefully trying to undermine your movement; they're usually just leftists with bigoted ideals from living in a bigoted society.

Framing all instances of bigotry in your community as coming from "somewhere else", from fakers or far-right agents or whatever, just lets you ignore your own bigoted ideals, the bigoted behavior of your friends and the people you like and trust, and your own complicity in it all.

it’s insane to me that people are painting the protestors at columbia and yale as “anti-war.” in fact they are very much pro-war! they have cheered for iranian missiles and hamas rockets, shouted “october 7th will be every day” and “burn tel aviv to the ground.” they don’t want the war to end, they just want the side they support to succeed in killing more jews. absent that, they themselves are happy to harass and physically assault local jews that they can get their hands on.

It is Holocaust remembrance day. Let us all remember those who survived the Shoah and those who did not. Let us also remember the many survivors who are no longer with us today.

For AAPI heritage month, I would appreciate Asians and non-Asians to read about the region of Central Asia and the 6 countries inhabiting that area. Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. Learn about the East Iranian, Turkic ethnic groups, and their cultures. The life of 5 of those countries under the Soviet Union, how American Imperialism, Russia, and the British has affected Afghanistan. This year, we need to be louder about Central Asia, and the experiences of Central Asian diasporas in Western countries. In the United States, we physically don’t even have an Asian racial category that is inclusive to our region. Yet, we share a lot of commonalities to the lifestyles on how other Asian ethnic groups are treated in the United States. Let’s celebrate Central Asia this year for AAPI month.

This Jewish-American heritage month remember that superhero comics were created by Jews during the Holocaust specifically to be tools for spreading political activism to combat complacency with oppressive norms. People complaining about the genre "becoming woke" is them admitting they have no clue what they're talking about, and that they think that everything has to pander to their delicate sensibilities for it to have value.

The depoliticization of superhero comics is the problem, not these comics treating people from marginalized groups like human beings.
