I wish more incest fic leaned into the "this is so wrong" angle. Not because I'm an anti who wants it to be clear to the audience that this is wrong, but because I find it really hot when characters are riddled with guilt for this hot, hot thing they're doing. That's my jam. Same with underage. I want characters to feel filthy but unable to resist temptation.

The really funny thing is, the few fics I've found written this way are written by former Catholics. I'm Jewish. Is this where we intersect on a Venn diagram? Guilt? 'Oh G-d forgive me for this hot, hot thing I'm unable to refrain from doing, my strength has failed me' apparently is where we become the shaking hands meme.

Happy TDOV specifically to my grandma's partner's daughter, who he (and she) were both wildly transphobic to when she came out! I found that out that out today from my mom, and time to disown some family members!! Anyway, congrats to her on her transition, coming out, and I hope she never speaks to them again is happier for it. Also I wish I actually knew her and could support her personally.

there's a cherry blossom tree in DC that keeps blooming every year even though it shouldn't and the park service keeps thinking it's dead and then it keeps blooming! well they're removing a lot of trees to rehabilitate the area and they've said it's finally time for stumpy to go and they're going to mulch it and use the mulch to enrich all the other trees so it can help everything else keep going. and they're also going to plant spliced little pieces of it all over so that stumpy can live forever and this is genuinely sending me into a spiral

I’m pretty much exactly halfway through Destiny’s Way, and I genuinely hate New Jedi Order so much. Every legacy character is out of character and despicable. Luke thinks genocide is okay if the species is sufficiently outside your realm of understanding. The Big Four are gleefully rigging an election. The endless Force philosophy is just utter garbage. It all makes me feel ill.

I just need someone to pick me back up and put in my chair and promise me it’s worth it, either for what comes in the rest of this series or in FOTJ/LOTF. Tell me it’s worth it for Mercy Kill. Tell me it’s worth it for the little character moments I love so much. Tell me there’s good Jag stuff coming. Promise me the Tycho and Wedge on opposites sides I’ve heard of is actually a thing and not just something vaguely mentioned and skimmed over. Tell those guys are gonna come back and actually be characters again at any point.

Or look me directly in the eye and tell me to cut my damn losses in the longest and deepest sunk cost relationship of my life.
