Not done with shiny hunting for the weekend, but today's hunt saw a milestone. Araceli now has three full boxes of shiny friends and has a head start on her fourth box! The snoozy fella pictured above is #91. I named him Atem after a certain Pharaoh for Reasons™...

... and he was the shiny that took me the MOST resets because he kept knocking himself out by using Wild Charge after waking up on the first turn of Hypnosis after being False Swiped. It took four attempts to catch him. Had to swap out Galahad the Gallade for Rascal the newly caught shiny Gligar just so that Wild Charge would fail.

Guess the name kinda fits Atem a little better than I thought it would. Please stop with the self sacrificing dramatics you spikey haired dork. <3

(I need to remember to evolve several of those shinies... whoops.)

I've been listening to character playlists for the last little while as I run around working outbreaks in Scarlet. (Up two new shinies so far, but I will do a post about that later.) Cycling through my YGO playlists at the moment. You know, all... three of them. As much as I like building playlists in theory it is a hobby that makes me bang my head against the wall. Individual songs? Yeah, sure. Whole playlists? Not so much.

Anyway. Seth's playlist is the longest, and listening to it has reminded me of all of the stray fic ideas I have had for him over the last two or three years. And I do miss writing him. I haven't done anything with him since last summer.

But, I am also struck with decision paralysis so. Poll time. Are there any characters in particular you (general you) would like to see Seth (Set, Priest Seto, etc) interact with? I'm including those I already have ideas for as poll options but am willing to try other characters as well. It will be fun writing exercise for me. (Kisara and BEWD are separate for interaction purposes.)

For the "Other Characters" option I only request that they be from Duel Monsters (including DSOD, but not R). I'm not real familiar with the other entries in the franchise.

Can make no promises on turn around time, or length of fic, but I will try to knock out at least one option a week.

(And here is a link to the playlist I've built for him over the years, if anyone is curious about it. Some of the entries on it are specific to RP verses with friends, and some of them are inside references/jokes. I don't even know why some of them are on there now, but they have been there so long I just associate them with him.)

Well, the 3DS (and Wii U) online shut down today, and with it, the online features of two generations' worth of Pokemon games. Farewell Wonder Trade, GTS, PSS, Festival Plaza, trade evolutions, all of it. You will be mostly missed. Individual pictures are below the cut:

Digging through my screencaps to get clearer references for Araceli for possible comms at the convention and found this one. It's from the first Iron Leaves raid, when I was using both of my Switches to attempt tackling it.

I can't help but think of it as Araceli and the two NPCs regarding my Violet MC and being like.

"Who invited the Uva student???"

Really, really need to figure out a: if Uva exists in Araceli's canon and b: if my Violet MC is an actual character.

(Really it depends on how much of a headache I want to give myself in regards to how complex I want the story of Araceli's school life to be.)

So. Araceli has three shiny horses now in Hisui. A nice little herd, two of which still need names. All that's missing now is a shiny alpha for both Ponyta and Rapidash. With the Dex entries for both perfected it is only a matter of time before the alphas will show up. Maybe.

Girl is going to be returned to modern Paldea with like three dozen handmade Pokeballs she made herself containing Pokémon a few hundred years out of place.

Might be fun to poke around at how the crafting knowledge she picks up in Hisui can be employed in the modern era. Her adventures in the past happen when she is older, possibly post Naranja Academy, but I figure that she probably keeps in contact with some of her former teachers. And her mother is a researcher as well, so. Hm.
