I often see opinions that Paul was right about Klein, which he totally was, but also that the others were dumb to not follow Paul with the Eastmans and that part is not as accurate.
Focusing just in Ringo and George's perspectives:
John already had a divorce. They also had their own issues with their wives.
Paul tried to fire his former brother-in-law right after breaking up with Jane.
Paul's relationship was rushed. He had proposed to two other people before Linda in less than a year.
Even if they had tried to trust in the Eastmans to be impartial, the risks outweighed the benefits. What if Paul's last minute marriage fell apart? Would Paul be able to still work with them? Would they screw the group over as revenge? Imagine your future and finances being tied up to your friend's marriage.
No definitely this is valid. I personally never said or thought that they should all be under management of the Eastmans, cause as you said that’s so incredibly risky. My wishes is that one, they would’ve initially listened to Paul about Klein, and two, for both John and Paul to not have been such stubborn assholes and just listen to each other and each other’s concerns, and three, for George and Ringo to have stood up and put their voices out instead of just basically watching everything unfold.

Not the same anon but if I had to guess, Klein went hard against George simply because George was the most successful Beatle under his management.
Unlike John and Paul, George owned the publishing rights of his most popular Beatles' songs.
ATMP outperformed anything that John, Ringo or Paul made at the time.
The Concert for Bangladesh was a total success in the many formats it had (live performance, movie, LP).
Klein sued the three Beatles, but also wanted more and his best bet was George.
So basically just pure pettiness for George’s success.

The thing about the Beatles breakup is that it wasn't about Klein, as much as he looks like a justifiable reason, it was about John and Paul fractured relationship. The minute they imploded, they took everything down with them.
John pushed for Klein in part because he made Paul mad. Paul rejected some reasonable proposals from the others because he didn't want to be controlled by John.
Ringo and George couldn't do anything but watch and pick a side because the two of them combined couldn't save the group.
Someone once said on here that the band could only function if Paul and John were allowed or free to be in love ( or something along that line)
So yea I agree that it all starts and ends with Paul and John. Klein was just the vehicle that separated them and landed the final blow to the already fractured band.
But this all leads me back to the same fucking irritable question I’ve had ever since I’ve discovered the Beatles in their depth, what changed them to lead them down this path of resentment, pettiness, and anger ?

Klein was so prejudicial to George to the point that a new legal precedent was created so no one could repeat the scummy move he made with the "My sweet lord" lawsuit.
He also made George the laughing stock for years for the mismanagement of the Concert for Bangladesh funds.
He tried to appropriate Harrisongs publishing rights in US.
That guy took a lot of money and energy from George, no wonder that by 1974 he just wanted to end all the legal mess as soon as possible and got angry at John for delaying what he started.
I truly hate Klein with a burning passion. Do you know why he had such a negative attitude towards geo ??

Hi, same anon who said that they didn't know there was an audio of John hyping up Klein to George, is there any chance that you know where I can listen to it?
Hi anon I’ll try and look for it or if I come across it I’ll remember to tag you. I unfortunately don’t have it saved so I’ll have to do some digging

John would be so happy to know that none of us fuckers (this includes Paul) stops thinking about him, my little attention whore <3
If John could hear the shit Paul ( and us) say about him now days he would pass out from being so hard

I get so sad thinking that John would probably console himself thinking "well Paul doesn't commit to me because that's how Paul is and always been" but then having to see him getting married and expecting a baby with a woman he barely knew.
I believe that's probably what hurt John the most, and it makes sense how John would frequently mention how Linda just came out of nowhere and became Paul's wife.
Yea :/
Someone please tag me or link the post to this but there is literally an Audio where John is singing a little tune where he’s singing about ‘farm’ and ‘another baby on the way’ and it sounds like he’s about to cry. I literally came across it a few days ago and it tore me apart.

honestly, looking at the photos Paul took of John in 1964 it's so easy to see how much Paul was attracted to John's masculine features - like his nose, hands, shoulders, arms and so on; Paul was attracted to John and not despite the fact John was a man.
I really do hope they had a sexual relationship and sometimes I do genuinely think they did because Paul is actually a good liar and can spin a tale
It’s so clear that Paul was so taken by Johns masculine beauty. The way he talks about when he first saw John on the bus or the chip shop just makes me cry cause it’s just so sweet and endearing; he loved his sideburns and his hair and how he looked like a tough ted. And yes those pictures that paul took in Paris of John, you can just see and feel the love through them.

There is an audio somewhere with John hyping Klein up to George and it's so sad to listen in perspective. Particularly because George was the most affected by Klein of them all with legal conflicts until the 90s.
While Paul was right about Klein, I can understand George and Ringo recoiling at the idea of being managed by Paul's new inlaws. It also had the potential of ending up in disaster and, unknowingly or not, Paul had already burned a lot of their good will.
Ugh everything was just so complicated :/
I wish they could’ve just sat and listened to each other instead of going through lawyers and courts and intermediaries. They make me so sad
