everyone please be conscious of how you’re responding to the ‘outside agitator’ narrative. obviously it’s false that khamas built tunnels under harvard or whatever, but please don’t respond to those fantasies by doubling down on an equally false characterization of the encampments as student-only. student organizers have explicitly invited their local communities onto their campuses, and that is a good thing. politicians, cops, and university brass are framing ANY presence of non-students as ‘outside agitation’ because:
- they are threatened by solidarity between students + the other residents of the neighborhoods these campuses gentrify
- they can repress the Palestinian solidarity movement beyond the campuses if they are able to frame non-student organizers as ‘agitating’ the vulnerable impressionable college students
so when you respond to outside agitator claims by stressing that it’s ‘just students,’ you’re bolstering the premise that students organizing with non-students is a bad thing. the police state is almost certainly gearing up to hit non-student protesters with terrorism charges (look at what they've done to the Holy Land 5, look at what they’re doing to Stop Cop City organizers), and will almost certainly racially profile Palestinians and other people of color as the ‘outside agitator’ scapegoats. please do not lend credibility to the criminalization of solidarity

Leaflets (read: death threats) were dropped on the eastern side of Rafah by Israeli warplanes just a few hours ago, in translation they read:
"Urgent Warning
To the residents and the displaced in Alshwka municipality, Salam neighbourhoods, Aljunaynah, Alboyok, block numbers:
10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 28, 270
The Israeli Defence Forces will be working intensely against terrorist organisations in your areas, as they have been until now.
Whoever is near the terrorist organisations puts their life and their family members' lives in danger.
For your safety, the Israeli Defence Forces urges you to evacuate immediately to the designated humanitarian area in Almawasi. Gaza city is still an area of intense fighting, do not return back to the North.
Do not come close to the eastern or southern security fence.
Israeli Defence Forces"
Since this morning, the eastern side of Rafah has seen an increasing number of intense Israeli airstrikes, including in areas where displaced Palestinians set up tents.
Quick reminder that there is absolutely no place to go in Rafah. Rafah is one of the most densely populated areas in the world right now. This is basically an extermination notice handed out to 1.4 million Palestinians (almost half of Gaza's population) who are displaced and have been crammed into the southern most part of Gaza, as Israel has been systematically pushing them this way for over 6 months now. And we don't have to even talk about the lie that is the "humanitarian routes", especially considering Israel's specific targeting of said routes throughout this aggression.
Important to note that this evacuation order covers the area where the Rafah crossing is, where aid is supposedly meant to enter the strip. Additionally, it includes the area where one of the only remaining functioning hospitals in all of Gaza is. It does not get anymore obviously genocidal than this.
Every journalist from Rafah reports how people have nowhere to go and have decided to watch what happens next exactly because they are trapped. So needless to say, this is going to be catastrophic at every level imaginable.

i really can't overstate how fucking furious i am that corrupt egyptian officials have become millionaires from charging palestinian refugees thousands upon thousands of dollars to escape genocide and not only that, that it comes down to the generosity of normal people like you and me to fund these people, to feel guilty over not being wealthy enough to do more, to feel the pressure of choosing which fund to donate to, to have to shoulder the emotional burden of deciding which lives to save, when politicians will get absurdly rich off of insider trading and taking bribes from companies as they help engineer a worse world for all of us to endure.
