The problem with gardening is that you'll be filling up a water trough for the chickens and you'll see that big dangerous dead tree you need to get cut down and you'll think 'I wonder if the tree guys will let me keep the wood, I can use it for those hugelkultur beds I've been meaning to set up on the slope out there" and "oh I need to plan that carefully to direct the water flow because I've been meaning to build a channel out there to direct water away and stop it from flooding the house every winter, maybe I can use the beds to help channel the water" and "where should I put the pond? Maybe I can use them to build a deep swale and see if that holds water year-round instead and save money on the pond?" and before you know it you've been standing stock still in your yard for fifteen minutes mentally planning water channels and you don't know how long your water trough has been overflowing for

#yeah pretty much #the “starts basic task sees something to remind of other task get so distracted by thoughts of other tasks that you mess up first task” #is a VERY common experience for me #tho i'll be honest your question made me second guess myself so hard that i checked the notes and like. everyone agrees so huzzah #im still not alone XD #my executive function issues are worse than average for adhd i think because i generally can't start multiple tasks in a rabbit trail #but i can and DO end up overthinking them to the point of comical error sometimes

Aroace Anime Character Headcanons

Saiki Kusuo doesn't like it when people think about romance and sex, but he's not overly bothered by it. Being perpetually exposed to everyone's perverted thoughts and naked bodies has almost completely desensitized him-- unless he is the subject of such thoughts. People being attracted to him is one of his least favorite things in the world. He's somewhat grateful that Teruhashi is at least too "perfect" to ever let herself dwell on any sexual thoughts about him.

Ishigami Senku would have a clinical outlook on sex. He couldn't care less about what other people do, and has plenty of knowledge on sexual health, STDs and the like. He's not fond of physical contact though, and somebody fawning over him because they have some stupid illogical crush sounds troublesome. He's experimented with his own sexuality before, and while it is impossible to draw any 100% certain conclusions when something as fickle as the brain is involved, he was unable to initialize any emotional responses he could easily identify as romantic or sexual attraction. He's quite grateful for this; few things seem to do a better job of turning humans into idiots than attraction, and he'd be overjoyed to spend his entire life immune to such an affliction.

Monkey D. Luffy knows what sex is. You don't get raised by bandits without knowing more than most about sex. Some people have talked about "being in love", which he knows is related to sex and kissing and stuff, as a kind of love stronger than friendship, but those people are obviously pretty stupid. He's been told things about how "men have needs" with a wink and a nudge and a nod towards some random lady, but he's never quite understood what was being hinted at. He knows that love looks lots of different ways for lots of different relationships and people. For a lot of those relationships love looks like kissing and sex. His love never looks like that, but he's never considered that to be a concern, or even noticed that such a thing might make him "different." Luffy loves his crew more than he even loves being a pirate, and that's all that matters to him.

I am super against light pollution, and have been for decades

but I am also super annoyed by the way it's framed as "without light pollution you can see how beautiful the night sky is" way more prominently than it's framed as "hey, did you ever stop to think of how much energy/resources/money are literally wasted by having so much light shine up into the sky?"

so people get the idea that light pollution can only be remedied by eliminating all night-time light, which would make being outside at night very inconvenient, instead of by making night-time light shine only on the ground where, y'know, the people who need it are
