The 5G networks too rely on signals transmitted by the radio waves. What makes them more efficient is that they use higher frequencies. And, for travelling faster in shorter distances, more transmitter masts are installed closer to ground level.

Earlier too, the mobile phone technologies led people to worry about leading health risks. Some of them also pointed towards the development of different types of cancer. Heating Dangers

Also, there are heating risks linked to 5G technology. This is because the part of the 5G spectrum lies in the microwave band. And, microwaves produce immense heat. However, Prof Rodney Croft says that the levels of microwaves used for 5G do not produce any harmful heating effects.

Also, as the 5G technology requires more number of transmitters, thus, they would run at more low power than the ones used in 4G technology. Therefore, there will be less exposure to radiation from 5G antennas.

ICNIRP has studied these radiations in-depth and found them well below the levels that can cause any harm. Also, WHO ensures that the exposures below those levels do not pose any threats to health.

Shooting at University of Central Florida Casualties, Shooter, and Status of Police

There was a moment of terror at the University of Central Florida when students were told to take cover. Without any detailed information, everybody in the college premise was told to stay safe and not roam in open. It is believed that a man with gun is on the loose and everybody was told to hide in the nearest buildings and stay away from the windows.

How many casualties have happened?

As of now, there have been no proper reports of what happened as the officials are on the way. Once they arrive at the college, the whole situation will be analyzed and we will get to know all the information. It may be the case that they are hiding any death news to avoid the panicking among the young students.

Who is the Shooter?

There has been no proper identity information on the shooter, the only thing confirmed is that he is a man. The shooter is wearing a weapon in his waistband and it has yet to be recognized. Whether the shooter is a college student or not, will soon be identified. He has a firearm and is currently at Tower 1 of the University building.

The Students in Florida University started to receive text messages on their phone which said them to take shelter and stay away from the building. They were also advised to circulate the information to their other friends so that everybody knows the imminent danger.

The Florida state police have been called on the campus by the university officials. The police are on their way and advised everyone to not engage with the shooter. As of this writing, the police has arrived and taken necessary action to apprehend the shooter.

Virginia woman infected with flesh-eating bacteria at Norfolk beach

A Virginia woman was infected with a flesh-eating bacteria after swimming at a beach. Her vacation turned sour as she was recommended immediate surgery for the same. However, this is not the first time this infection has been acquired while bathing on beaches.

Amanda Edwards now laughs, thinking about her fatal infection. She felt like her leg would fall off. Edwards visited Ocean View Beach last week with her friends and could see the symptoms of infection the next day. She tried to ignore it but the infection spread quickly. And, she could not walk anymore.

Doctors advised her to keep the affected area covered for a couple of days. And prescribed antibiotics. According to doctors, the bacteria might have entered her leg by an open wound. Also, a swimming advisory was issued the same day.

Flesh-eating disease

The flesh-eating disease is caused by bacteria. This bacteria produces toxins which further destroy the tissues of muscles and fat.

Causes

Flesh-eating disease is caused due to following reasons:

Those who have liver function problems, usually alcoholics.

Eating contaminated seafood.

Due to a wound that gets contaminated by seawater.

Prevention

Good hygiene is the key to prevent yourself from acquiring this infection.

Avoid swimming in pools and open water sources.

Keep your open wounds covered with bandages.

Wash your hands often.

According to the health officials, one should take following preventive measures on a beach:

Avoid swallowing the beach water while swimming.

Also, do not take a dip after a heavy rainfall.

They set a new record by trading away total seven draft picks- two swap picks and five first-round picks to Oklahoma Thunder. A new report in the Atletic goes into much greater detail of Clippers’ pursuit of Leonard. It even mentions that they were in contact with the Houston Rockets to get James Harden. But understandably, Harden was untouchable.

After the Rockets were sent crashing following a 2nd round elimination in the playoffs, there were rumors that they would get rid of everyone on their roster apart from Harden. But the Rockets failed to deal players like Eric Gordon and Clint Capela in a sign-and-trade involving Jimmy Butler. They eventually had to contend with sending a few draft picks and Chris Paul to Oklahoma, in exchange for Russell Westbrook.

NBA free agency deals are now under investigation after several teams have raised an issue of deal tampering in the annual boards meeting. The biggest names in the whole issues are Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant who changed their teams in the free agency trade deals.

There have been complaints made against the players and their respective teams for negotiating outside the trade period and offering undisclosed perks.

The whole controversy started because the players were quick to make a new deal just after the start of free agency on June 30. Kevin and Kyrie went to Nets, Kemba Walker joined the Celtics, Jimmy Butler went to Miami Heat withing minutes of free agency opening. Deals were made before Free Agency Started

Kawhi Leonard deal with the LA Clippers sounds very suspicious as he waited till the end of free agency and joined them after Paul George did the same. It means that the Oklahoma City Thunder, LA Clippers and the Toronto Raptors were involved in the illegal deals. Most of the free agency deals happened as if they were preplanned and it raises a huge suspicion. Back in 2017, the Lakers team were fined $500,000 because they contacted Paul George even though he was under contract. LeBron James made a public statement that he is interested in playing with Anthony Davis in last December.

Since Klay Thompson is injured and D’Angelo Russel won’t be in there for much time, the whole responsibility now comes on Stephen Curry. It is no doubt that Curry is a great player, but can he do the same without Durant. The Warriors wants Curry to be the next Durant for them, which is very hard to follow.
