March 9 is the final day to sign up for preorders for this series of Tundra accents! You can find them in my accent shop; a few of the recolors also have spare copies up on the AH, links provided in the shop. I also have several copies of my various Veilspun recolors in stock, which you can see at the bottom of this post.
The Tundras will be shelved after March 9 and return for annual reprint events, and you can read more about that in the shop.
Reblogs are super-appreciated!

Adding your tags because they're good elaboration, thank you!
I very much recommend looking into your program's resize settings, both trying the various options and reading about why they do what they do. This tutorial won't help with the technical side of resizing. It will help avoid pixellation caused by things like drawing the details too small or using too thin a brush, which you now can catch pretty much right away and fix by drawing bigger details and using a thicker brush.
Also, to add a visual example for the Photoshop zoom crunchiness, left is 13% (user-specified zoom percentage) and right is 12.5% (a default zoom percentage in the program itself):
Tumblr media
CSP handles different zoom percentages a lot better but it won't let you type in your preferred zoom and it's super-annoying to try to hit that with your mouse's scroll wheel or manually dragging the zoom slider to try to hit the correct percentage over and over. Might be some way to change those settings that I've overlooked but eh I find this convenient as it is.
So regardless of program, it's just easier to work at sizes that translate nicely to the default zoom options, so 1400 x 1400, 700 x 700, etc.
Skins & Accents: Never be unpleasantly surprised by resizing ever again
I'm making this as a separate post in addition to a reblog reply, in the hopes more people will see it.
So, you've worked on a skin and you've poured your heart into it, worked at a high resolution, and rendered all the nice details... and then you resize to 350 x 350 px and half your details disappear, others look pixellated, and some things that looked great at full size are now way too cluttered.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a way to avoid this pain entirely, all while working at full size and never having to zoom out while you're in the flow to check on the details?
Well, I've got the hottest tip for you.
Start by upscaling your canvas to 2800 x 2800 px. When zoomed out to 12.5%, the canvas will appear as 350 x 350 px. You can also choose other resolutions, the important bit is that one of those resolutions results in an image appearing as 350 x 350 px when zoomed out at one of the default percentages (50%, 33%, 25%, 12.5% etc). We are not going to zoom out on the working file, however.
Tumblr media
(This is my accent Thought we had a deal, which you can find in my accent shop)
Then it's magic time. This works in Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop, I don't know about other programs.
Window > Canvas > New Window in CSP:
Tumblr media
Or Window > Arrange > New Window for [file name] in Photoshop:
Tumblr media
This will open the exact same image in a different tab. Click the tab, hold to drag and it will float above your working image. Zoom out to 12.5%, grab the bottom right corner (it will appear where the green arrow is) to scale down the excess frame:
Tumblr media
And voila, you will have a live version of your accent at its print size, regardless of how much you zoom in in the larger version:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, that's right, live version, it will update as you draw! You can tell right away if a detail you add will show up at print size or not, if it will be readable or not.
Never be surprised by resizing again!

I have a fix for this!
I work on a 2800 x 2800 px canvas. When I zoom out to 12,5%, it appears as a 350 x 350 canvas.
So, here's my accent at the full canvas size:

And now we do the magic. This works in Clip Studio Paint, this works in Photoshop, I don't know about other programs.
Window > Canvas > New Window in CSP:
Tumblr media
Or Window > Arrange > New Window for [file name] in Photoshop:

This image will update as you draw, so you can tell right away if a detail you add will show up at print size or not, if it will be readable or not. Never be surprised by resizing again!
(Accent is Thought we had a deal, you can find it and my other accents in my shoppe)
when you see how your custom skin looks when you size size it down to 350x350 for the game

I'm currently barreling towards a deadline and it's eating up all of my creative energy. So, those of you who sent me lore questions, first of all, thank you so much!
Secondly, I'll respond when I have a bit more energy, and I'll have a look at your lore and send some questions back too. Gonna be a nice reward at the end of this all.
Will probably only do some light dragon share posting until then.

On another note, I'm going to be leveling and exalting these G1s from my Dec 25 mass hatch this week. If you want any of them, this is your last chance before they head off to the Earthshaker.
For the dragons on page 7 (first screencap), I'd ideally like around 25kt/g, willing to drop below that, though.
The dragons on page 8 are 15 kt/g.

Page 8 in my HibDen
Feel free to contact me here on Tumblr, PM me on FR (Snaphance #2380) or just send a Crossroads. Please include the ID/colors of the dragon(s) you want.

Yooo my series of slightly shady Tundras just launched! The Oilslick version, Thought we had a deal, is available on the AH. If the stock runs out, you can sign up for a preorder in my accent shop!
The other four recolors are also available for preorders and previews, and I have some stock left of my Veilspun accents too. So hit the shop to take a gander at what's available and sign up for some pinglists if you wanna! All the current accents are 550g/550kt.
Preorders close on March 9, after which these accents will be shelved and return for annual reprints, but more info on that in the shop.
Reblogs are greatly appreciated!

AAAAA thank you so much!!!! This looks great, I really like how you captured his attitude! Your linework for the fluff is so fluffy, feels like I can touch it. The more I look at him, the more details I see, really good job with all the little baubles from the accent. I also love the background squares and how they interact, really dynamic and pleasing!
Thank you so much again, this was such a nice surprise!!
