What is SBI Clerk Exam?
State Bank of India (SBI) holds exams every year for the recruitment of Personnel on various posts.
The SBI clerk Exam is one such exam which is held for the clerical post of various SBI branches all over India.
Though State Bank of India is also a Public Sector Bank (PSB), it has its own recruitment process which is a two phase process Prelims and Mains. Unlike SBI PO Exams Clerical Exams do not have interview round which means that candidates selected in Mains Round will be appointed in clerical posts in various SBI Branches and Associates banks.
SBI clerical Prelims exam is usually held around July and registration process starts around April. To get selected to mains exam candidate has to clear Prelims exam by getting over the qualifying marks.
Candidates getting through to Mains do not have to register again, they simply have to download the call letter E-mailed to them and appear for the mains which is usually conducted around July.

If the candidates get through the Mains round, they will receive another call letter to join, after which they will undergo training and finally be able to work as a clerk in SBI Branch.

What is IBPS PO Exam?
IBPS which stands for Institute for banking personnel selection is a selection board that conducts recruitment for banking sector and PO stands for Probationary Officer which is a post in banking management system.
IBPS conducts PO exam once every year through which banking aspiring candidates can appear for and if got selected shall be recruited as a probationary officer in various Public Sector Banks (PSB) which are Government owned Banks. Right now, after the merger of some banks there are 12 Public Sector Banks

·        Indian Bank

 IBPS PO Exam consists of three phases namely Prelims, Mains and Interview round which if selected can choose among the above listed banks and work there as a Probationary officer except for State Bank of India, as it has its own selection process.
IBPS PO prelims and mains examination is an online exam and for that aspiring candidates have to register beforehand.

After appearing for Prelims you have to qualify with minimum qualifying marks to appear for Mains, Similarly to get through to Interview round you have to qualify the Mains round and if you get through the interview round as well then you will be selected as a Probationary officer in your preferred Bank.
