Well I didn't need my heart anyway... but that fucking hurt😭
Mkay so like, imagine if there’s like,,, mothers intuition in Warriors.
Like, a queen can just,,, tell when one of their kits dies. Even if they’re super far apart or if their kits are grown, their mom knows.
I just got the idea of Quince getting a rlly cold feeling in the pit of her stomach one day and she just knew, somewhere out there, Tiny was dead. Far off in the forest, Firestar stood over Scourge’s lifeless body.
Across town, just a few minutes before, Nutmeg was jolted awake from a nap, feeling like an arrow of glass just went through her chest, only to dissapate a moment later. Firestar had lost a life.
Goldenflower woke in the night, feeling like part of her very soul had been torn out about the same time Swiftpaw took his last stand against the dogs.
Speckletail gave up trying to chase the hawk when she felt the warmth in her chest falter, flickering out for a moment before returning. Her son was dead, and she knew that.
Ferncloud had become numb to the icy shards in her gut by the time they reached the Lake territory.
Leafpool and Squirrelflight both felt the exact moment Hollyleaf’s life flickered out.
Squirrelflight knew the feeling of a kit passing, but it still hurt when her two kits died. It was like getting a thorn bush made of ice scrapped along her insides.
Mistystar felt each of her kits dying. She felt them all, and they were all unique. It was always cold, and it always hurt, but after the first it was less painful.
Yellowfang knew her kits were stillborn, because the minute the labor pains lifted, a biting cold spread through her.
Frostfur wasn’t as scared as she could’ve been with Cinderpelt and Brightheart, because she hadn’t felt it. Part of her knew they wouldn’t die.
Sorreltail felt Molepaw die, a cold piercing that spread around her flanks, then Honeyfern, a sharp cutting cold on her sides again.
Bluestar felt the exact moment Mosskit died. It was winter, so she consciously didn’t notice, but a little part of her knew immediately that her daughter was dead.
