The way some of the worst offenders out here claim to love Buck but also clearly think he’s completely fucking stupid will never not be funny. Whether it’s them fully misunderstanding the storyline he’s in, or thinking he’s misplaced his affection, or doing the whole “he needs all his friends to tell him he’s in love with-”

I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this but he is a grown man. A little bit of a messy fool sometimes, yes, but who among us isn’t? He runs his own life and pays his own bills and has shown generally increasing levels of emotional maturity. Everybody was so sure he’d be destroyed over the beloathed sperm donor arc, but he was totally fine and fully understood the boundaries.

He occasionally makes mistakes and says or does the wrong thing because he’s a very human character with flaws like jealousy and impetuousness and overeagerness or overcompensation. But he’s not this stupid helpless babychild who knows nothing about the world or himself. My god if he was half the basket case some people think he’d be sincerely unfuckingbearable as a character.

My raw reaction to 6x06: I'M IN YOUR WALLS TIMOTHY BRADFORD. HOW DARE YOU. I WAS ROOTING FOR YOU. WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU

My actual real serious, slept on it, reaction: Tim broke up with Lucy bc he thinks he doesn't deserve her after all he's put her through (making Chen lie for him and putting her life in jeopardy). He's having a hard time mentally and his morals…it will be fine. They can fix this.

Thoughts on Chenford in 6x06

Spoilers below

Help… I’m bawling my eyes out and that hurt soooo much, but that episode was so f*cking good.

I have so many thoughts to come later, but Tim’s story makes wayyyyy more sense now (I knew there had to be more than the stupid benefits excuse), and now I can actually completely empathize with him. I love that they let him be flawed and human and real.

But OMG I am so freaking worried about Lucy. They are definitely setting up her villain origin story right?! And my heart is just so completely broken for her.

Jackson’s dad back on screen?! Are they foreshadowing more in terms of Lucy’s grief?

I do have faith they will find there way back together, and this time will feel earned in a way the first time wasn’t (IMO, obviously). The only question is whether or not they fix it in S6, and I genuinely hope they do.

Oof, this hurt so much but this is the character-driven story telling and emotion that sucked me into this show and made me fall in love with these characters, and IMO was missing for a lot of the last two seasons.

I’m scared but I’m hopeful for what’s to come.
