Charlotte tried not laugh at the unlucky coincidence they were both new in the area, though a small chuckle did escape her before she fanned it away. It looked like mostly forests, hills and mountains all around nearby too. So, she was happy and thankful for his welcoming demeanor. Even her tail was raising up a bit as it swayed with her brightening mood.
"Thank you, Silver. I don't usually get compliments about it so it is nice of you to say that." That maybe sounded a little stilted, but she did well to hide her own frustrated expression for it. Fixing her bangs with one hand in a swift motion, she took a better look at him up close. Mostly to note his physical form and if she could detect any other energies in her own wheelhouse.
Her head quickly tilted when he mentioned he usually slept outside, and she failed to hold back a confused, yet concerned, look toward him for the statement. He did look a bit physically frail even to her for that, even if the area came off as quite temperate so far. It was a bit hard for her to picture, but she wasn't going to be rude about it either.
"We certainly can look for a town. It would probably be near water as a good way to start. Also most places on Mobius are pretty standard about how they handle currency with rings or sometimes credits. I've not been everywhere though. Are you from somewhere overseas from here with a bit different economics system?" She was curious how he couldn't know how currency worked, given some of the gear he was wearing looking to be clearly fairly expensive and bespoke. While it wasn't her place to judge, she was starting to mentally tally up if he was at least a multi-zone traveler to the Mobius multiverse or not.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Well honestly, I don't know. I'm sorta new here myself. But it's nice to meet you, Charlotte! That's a really pretty name."
He wasn't used to being the person noticed, so it was kind of special. Being from the future, he wasn't one to judge on appearance. He'd already learned that in the past, people came in all shapes and sizes. It was the most amazing thing in the world to him. In Crisis City, everyone looked sickly, and frail. But here, you had people with more muscular bodies, you had people who were soft, and round. There were those who were slender.
Silver happened to be on the frail end of the spectrum, in terms of appearance. Even in the past, he didn't quite eat the way he should have. Maybe it came from having to preserve supplies before he learned to time travel. Maybe it was because he didn't quite know what qualified as something edible.
Regardless, he would have been happy, no matter what shape his body took.
"If you want, we could look for a town together." A slight shrug. "Or just walk around, it's a really pretty morning. I usually sleep outside, anyway. I'm not totally sure on how currency works around here, not yet."

"Then lets see how you handle a classic earl grey. I'd like to see how you handle steeping it." Lighter teas like the earl grey were easier to mess up and make bitter, so it was a good one to start on in her eyes. There was also the menu of food she was taking a good scan over after she placed the tea order.
The teas he listed were good ones to start with, though lavender was another that could be hard. It's issue was sometimes the flavour would come out underwhelming if not steeped correctly. Much as she wanted to give him a harder time with that, the earl grey was the more standard test option.
"...Also what would you go about recommending from your food menu? I'm not a picky eater but I'd like to know what is most popular." Popular in the sense to his customers more so. Still, there was an eager bounce in her heels as she looked around the cafe once more.
It wasn't often she got to play customer.

Hanekoma grinned wide, "Ah shit, already? Weelll, damn. I guess I better do my best, huh? I feel fairly confident with everything I got, but what are you feelin', boss? I got chamomile, chai, lavender, jasmine, earl grey, and rose. For now. I'm working on gettin' a wider selection, but I gotta make sure this stuff is gonna sell. And if alla that works out, I'll start trying my hand at making my own blends, too."
And if he ever got to a place where he could sell his own blends, he likely would move exclusively to doing that. Having a lot of different tea types was great, but with coffee, and tea, and luch, and pastries, it could get overwhelming fast. If he kept his coffee simple and his tea simple, it could give him room to flesh his other menus out a little more. Though, he did want to remain a relatively small cafe. As long as he stayed mostly empty, though, he didn't mind it so much. It was a matter of balance, and that was something he would have to play around with as he got more menu items.

Charlotte was just being curious as ever, approaching him when she noticed him on the hill as the sunlight crested over those mountains so brilliantly. It was a pleasant sight accompanied with a welcoming warmth for her; even if she did prefer the evening twilight and starlight instead most often. She also couldn't deny the beauty of the dawn with that infectious smile he was giving her.
Offering him her own bright smile back, with a light tilt of her head, she gave him a nod, "I'd say the feeling of the warmth of the first light, even the sight of it, is really full of a certain hope. Wishes too."
That was at least her take on it, at least.
Only glancing back at the sunrise briefly, she turned her full attention to him and offered a light head bow, "Charlotte, and I'm more so here because I noticed you. That said I'm not denying natures view here."
She could detect something faint about him being somewhat like her; at least so far as not being of this exact world. Yet at the same time he was. The whole energy of it was muddled that she didn't want to try and untangle it in one go.
That would have her making a rather judgemental face if she did, and not all were exactly receptive to draconic Mobians expressions at the best of times. It was something she did want to figure out later. For the moment she simply kept her smile toward him, tail swaying close to the ground almost playfully, "I'm a bit new to this area, honestly. Is there a town or the like nearby?"
Tumblr media
I thought I saw the sun once... I don't know, maybe it was just wishful thinking Do you believe me, @charlotte-liddel?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nothing short of magic.
It was a clear sky, and the sun was just beginning to peek overhead some mountains. The sky was that of pure gold. Silver couldn't get tired of this view, no matter how many times he'd seen it. Words couldn't describe, when you came from a world of desolation. From a world that didn't even have the sun.
While it was still probably up there, the sky was thick black smoke clouds. Not a ray could shine through them.
Well. Couldn't sit here forever, Maneuvering his right leg, Silver rises to a standing position, only to notice another figure walking in his direction. Maybe she'd come to enjoy the sunrise as well? Which was why the hedgehog smiled, and waved. Steps closer are taken, until he feels he's close enough to be heard.
"The morning sun gives me the energy I need to tackle the day."
That little smile turned into big one.
"There's something about the feeling of the sun shining on your face, but I don't know how to place it..."
A shake of the head.
"Anyway, I'm Silver. Were you going to watch the sunrise too?"

"It's really no trouble, truly. I am overjoyed that you've enjoyed my baking." She had briefly joined the butterflies behind the counter, moving a few of the heavier items as she cleaned them by hand. While the butterflies could technically lift the objects without issue, she didn't want to risk any child in her presence getting some wild ideas to question about them. Having them seem like conjured little sparkling familiars was her usual aim.
Tumblr media
As he soon placed the dish upon the counter, she had the butterflies move it together to the sink in a delicate manner while she dried off her own hands, "I won't need any help, though I do appreciate you asking. You're a guest, so I wouldn't dream of asking you to do any work." She reserved that sort of situation for adults that actually managed to cause a scuffle in her cafe. Still, she found it sweet he did offer since she was so used to other children being not so dutiful.
As she stepped out from behind the counter, having the butterflies finish the cleaning out of view, she looked past him and out the windows at the few people passing by. None seemed in a panic looking for someone or something just yet, but she was still needing to be vigilant about it. Bringing her gaze back onto him she set one hand on her hip, tail swishing behind her, and addressed him in a half serious tone, "Now, I do have to ask something very important: Is there a chaperone that would be looking for you right now? My cafe is a bit off the usual thoroughfare for many, though a safe place, and I would like to make sure that you are returned to your family or home safely."
Tumblr media
She didn't know his circumstances so she tried to word things as delicately as she possibly could. It was also best that she took this approach to otherwise stay under the radar in this world. It had already charmed her a bit, so she really didn't want to botch it.

Charlotte gave a nod after some thought to his last answer, keeping up with the explanation. It made enough sense she wasn't going to really ask any other questions about the game. Save one in particular, that is.
With a little sigh, she raised her hand to voice that last question she had, "How does the game handle entities that might or could participate that are outside the flow of time of mortals like myself then? It's part of why I've avoided lingering in Shibuya before when I detected the energy I assumed was the game being active. Worry that there might be problems with my presence."
Among other things that she was omitting. She didn't like contending with the presence of beings that could organize events like the game in Shibuya. Some were secretly territorial in her experience.
Tumblr media
"And if you can't answer that with too much certainty, then I could reword it to: would this composer mind my presence around Shibuya or would that be a point of issue? I'm not one to go about seeking out trouble or making it already. Even with my hobbies I prefer just being able to live peacefully like anyone else." She hummed a bit as she glanced away, looking at the butterflies briefly as they finished cleaning up for her before popping into disappearing glitterdust.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The other have a single, affirming nod, "Sure was. The way it works, when folks pass they enter the game. If ya win, you can reincarnate. But you can also choose to become a reaper. That's those folks with the wings, ya see. And the ones that promote high enough can get a chance to become the Composer. Think'a that one as bein' Shibuya's supervisor. I'm not the Composer, but that process is how I got the position I have in the Game now. I died, played the game, then worked my way up the corporate ladder, so to speak. Savvy?"
He didn't question her power further. He supposed that the knowledge of her existence as a beast would then logically only become a necessity in times where that was going to happen anyway. When she was defending the world. Areas used to it. He could safely assume that for all her playful tricks she wouldn't be randomly exposing herself to make herself powerful.
And after all, she'd existed here all this time without falling into his radar.
If he could convince her to bring that imagination into Shibuya regularly, he was sure it would help strengthen the city. He had no idea what he'd do with her soul if she died, though. That would be... An interesting experiment. Not one he wanted to try anytime soon, though.

"The Little Chef of the Bistro follows a mantra from his teacher and idol: Anyone can cook. He gives that chance to anyone who would like to try. It's also great and instilling confidence in those new to cooking with his hands on lesson approach." Charlotte really had nothing but high praise for the head chef of the bistro, offering Zech a bright grin as she spoke about his efforts. She wasn't missing a beat, however, as she started to move for the nearest stop for the tram with a gentle beckon for him to keep following.
She didn't know the exact tram schedule but she could already see, and hear, one coming that would be going up to the station. They were reliable enough that any tourist could use them to get around the town without getting too lost. The route covered the main streets of the town, and the main points of interest for anyone there.
"I'll spot you for the fare this time. We'll probably have something on the way you can do to get some munny of your own; which should be easy since there's no end of odd jobs around town." If it was true to what sort of lingering tension she was detecting on the air. She did hope it was just a false positive, and they could just pick up a simple errand for a local like how the local kids got extra pocket money. Better that than something more troublesome for what is supposed to be a leisure trip.
"Little chef?" He blinks. That was a peculiar way to describe the head chef of that newly opened bistro she mentioned. "That sounds... Unique. I don't think I've heard of very many restaurants that allow anybody to come in and just learn the craft like that before." Although he supposes that shouldn't be too surprising, given the manner of worlds interconnected to this one.
These worlds may have had their problems and struggles, but he did notice the common thread binding them together seemed to be this pervasive sense of goodwill among each world's denizens. This desire to help one another achieve their wishes, if the individual demonstrated the will to pursue them. It was an oddly welcoming change from what he was used to.
Zech watches as Lottie performs her little flourish on one of the streetlamps, looking oddly carefree and whimsical in spite of the gravitas that seemed to be weighing on her mind more often than not. It's endearing in its own way, he supposes. Hard to find someone as thoughtful as she was who wasn't grounded by their bitter experiences.
Tumblr media
And then, he visibly perks in a similarly odd, almost boyish way, as she lays out their options for travel. As though she mentioned something that spoke to a childish sense of adventure and exploration he still somehow possessed on some level deep down in spite of his own troubles. Even if he tries to downplay a bit with his mannerisms regardless.
"Oh. Let's ride the tram, then. It's not often I get to travel by means of public transport like that, so it's nice to get a view of everything on the go."

Seeing any Zora swim up a waterfall was already impressive, but experiencing it first hand was something else. The powerful deluge threatened to break her grip on him if he wasn't swimming so impressively fast. She could barely keep her eyes open to really view what was happening until they crested the top and Sidon made his leap.
Nova's eyes and ears were quickly attentive during those short moments in the air, scanning the water beneath them and listening for any shifts in the wind. The moment she felt and heard the shift in it she braced herself, loosening her grip of her arms around his neck.
His reassurance got her attention just as she let go of him and gave him a smile back, "I'll hold you to that, Sidon! Just don't slow down too much on my account!"
As she separated from him in the air there was a swift movement of her hands, pulling out a paraglider with a circular rune patterned fabric to it from her item pouch. With it above her head she quickly caught the updraft from the waterfall just behind them and swung her body to glide just above Sidon. All of this was to give him an easier re-entry into the water without risking her struggling to hold her breath if they went under.
She did hope she didn't give him any sort of panic with letting go almost abruptly. That was really the only worry going through her mind while she kept an eye on the water below her for him.
Sidon gave a nod upon hearing Nova's confirmation. And as his body was waiting for her permission, his swimming became more accelerated. Just to climb against the strong current of the waterfall. He trusted Nova to hold firm against him, believing in the strength and abilities she had. The prince made sure they didn't last long there either.
It wasn't safe for either of them. Then the swim, which seemed to last only a few minutes, brought them very close to the top. At that moment he pushed himself to jump into the air. He usually did his usual stunt when he got to this part. But he chose not to this time, so he could land safely for Nova's sake.
Tumblr media
"My lady Nova, are you alright? I will be landing now, please prepare yourself once again! Don't worry I'm here if you need anything. I'll keep you safe!" Sidon shouted those reassuring words as he looked back with a wide smile at her.

NAME :  Elipseon
PRONOUNS :  She/Her
PREFERENCE  OF  COMMUNICATION :  If we're mutuals then generally tumblr IM system is fine. Sometimes I'll add some mutuals onto discord after a while too since I don't always haunt the dash. I also speak through tags on threads.
NAME  OF  MUSE(S) : Charlotte (For this main blog, all others are side blogs), @lockhart-investigations for Meia and Enzo, @inky-anemone for Anemone, @grounded-sparrow for Suzume, @lyanna-of-aryllia for Lyanna and @tempestuous-melody for Muirín. (For the side blogs, I will do threads on them usually by request since I don't promote them too much)
EXPERIENCE  /  HOW  LONG  (  MONTHS  /  YEARS? ) :  Casually for about nearly 20 years at this point.
BEST  EXPERIENCE : I'd have to say that Kinkoz so far has been one of my best experiences in just both RP and OOC chatting. I'm a fairly guarded individual with most, and I don't trust easy. There are others too certainly that I enjoy writing with and do my best to keep up letting people know I am aware and care best I can.
RP  PET  PEEVES  /  DEALBREAKERS : There are a few things that become deal breakers for me, and some are rather common. To keep it simple I'll quick fire them: Not tagging posts properly (especially leaving meme prompts untagged), Live-blogging mun actions/game playing constantly on an RP blog (This includes trying to hide the live blogging as character actions, and to do so for consecutive hours each day), Any participation in witch hunts/callout culture, Any sort of specified name dropping/airing of a private issue or falling out with another mun on their RP blogs (Just don't do that, it's self destructive), Lying about age to get into NSFW interactions with an older mun (Anyone claiming to be 18-20 I am wary of for the risks they might be 15-17 due to past experiences), and finally Clout/Popularity chasing within the RPC/Giving outwardly Popular blogs reply priority over longer time close mutuals/friends. That last one I see too often, and I will generally quietly remove myself from people who try to play that Popularity chasing game by dropping friends and mutuals the popular people don't like. This is a hobby, not a re-enactment of high school interpersonal drama.
MUSE  PREFERENCES  FLUFF,   ANGST  OR  SMUT : I enjoy fluff and angst like any other. Smut is reserved for mutuals I trust and discord only, since I will rarely write it and only do so with proper chemistry.
PLOTS  OR  MEMES : I don't really run memes all that often, if it isn't obvious, and I prefer plots. Nothing ever too overly thought out so the interaction can be fun, but just enough so we have an idea of where we're going.
LONG  OR  SHORT  REPLIES :  I'll do either really, but I prefer mid to long over short where I can help it.
BEST TIME TO WRITE : It can vary day to day sometimes, but usually in the evening for me.
ARE  YOU  LIKE  YOUR  MUSE(S) :  There's a bit of my values set in each of my muses, obviously. The blunt honestly and slightly erratic natures are the obvious, alongside the love of music. Beyond that though, each of my muses has personalities that vary well beyond myself and I enjoy writing them for those differences.
tagged by: @wayward-sword (How dare you tag me Kinkoz XD)
tagging: @baymaxmuses , @strawberry-barista , @hellahell , @hellcab and honestly whoever else of my mutuals who would like to steal this off me!

"I'm fairly certain, yes." Charlotte had moved her hands to his chest, near his collarbone, in reflex as he pulled her close. There was a equal confidence returned back to him in her own eyes, the pale pink-violet colour flecked with glittering tiny stars, "I wouldn't have considered it an option otherwise."
Leaning her face into his hand gently she gave him a confident smile, almost bordering a smirk, "I'd like to think I'm clever and brave. After all, I'm fairly certain you can't devour pure light. Also, trying to eat me would ruin your appetite forever."
There was only a brief pause from her as she considered her own answer to his last question, slowly reaching up her own hands to cup his face gently, "I am sure. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't, Raven." Her voice was a hushed whisper as she closed the distance between their faces, whatever other words she said lost in her breath. She wasn't going to hesitate on this, and stole the kiss of the moment first on him.
Tumblr media
A sudden chuckle was given by the demon. It had been a while since he had felt a feeling of being prey instead of hunter. But there were differences from the last time. The feeling was neither unpleasant nor frightening. It was actually a very interesting feeling for Raven. Who could say that He was having fun like he had in a long time.
He closed his eyes for a few moments only for when he opened them again a vivid red tone filled his irises. Accompanied by a wide smile that was somewhat dangerous, cruel. Yetpleased with Charlotte's response.
"Of all the crazy things you could ask for, are you sure this was the best option, my dear?" Raven approaches her without compunction this time. Quickly placing a hand on her waist and pulling her body close to his. Bringing his face closer to hers, leaving a thin invisible line between them.
"Either you're the craziest person to offer yourself to a hungry demon or the bravest person I've ever met. Maybe both?" He whispered almost as if it were a prayer. While the other hand gently holds Charlotte's face.
Tumblr media
"Last chance. Are you sure?"

"Heeey, look who it is!" Hanekoma barked as Charlotte entered Wildkat. "I wondered when you were gonna show up~ Welcome in, boss, have a seat. Menu's up top, so can I getcha something or didja just come in for a chat? Wanna try that house blend?"

"Mostly a chat and administering your first tea brewing test. What sort of tea leaves do you have on hand?" Charlotte was bouncing a bit, looking rather excited. Of course she wasn't letting her human disguise slip, but there was a little sparkle in her eye when she winked at him, "And if you aren't confident with what you have on hand, I have some tea leaves to spare."

"Well, fair enough. With how it functions I'd guess its an adaptation of some existing system to encourage more action with how it works." Charlotte made a little shrug, not really dwelling on the inability for him to answer her first question. Information being above someone wasn't something new for her to encounter. Still, she was a little disappointed deep down that he didn't know.
Tumblr media
At his question about how her powers worked, she gave a bit of time to think on a proper answer with a rhythmic swish of her tail. Really it wasn't going to be a complicated or easy answer. With a light shake of her head, she answered bluntly, "I honestly don't exactly know. I just know people having hope and belief in me sort of gives a power boost. Beyond that I can sort of sense it when its happening, or when someone is essentially calling out to me. I suppose you could sort of think of it like how the Shinto Gods of Japan work. At least somewhat."
For her it really was as simple as that. There was also the fact that she didn't give much thought to it at the end of the day. If it worked, and she understood the gist of it, then that was enough. She also didn't want to get into messing with it by trying to dig into it or test it to understand it more. It was basically a force of nature for her.
Tumblr media
"Now, since you asked that question...Am I right to assume you were possibly once human?" Charlotte felt this was a fair guess to make, given the nature of his question. It was usually humans, or mortal life in general, that would ask that sort of question of her.
Tumblr media
Hanekoma eyed the butterflies with amused interest and held out an open hand to them, both for inspection and to get a feel for them himself. What pretty little things she had command over, and he wondered if their presence kept her from feeling lonely.
Tumblr media
"I can't, actually," he replied, turning his eyes back up to her. "That information is even above my pay grade. Granted, I guess I never really questioned it anyway. It's always been this way. I assume... Either it was a system put in place from the get-go as a means'a regular management, or it was something to make management easier and more efficient. There's no denying it's effectiveness, after all. Thus the reason I never really thought to ask. It just makes sense. An' as far as asking the wrong questions, ya don't gotta worry about treading into forbidden territory. If ya can't know, I'll tell ya, simple as that. Though, I guess that would be pretty unsatisfying."
A chuckle, and an image of Charlotte huffing and stamping her feet appeared in his mind, though truthfully he couldn't see her getting like that over something like this. As cute and small as she looked, it was masquerading. She played at someone soft and innocent so that no one would notice how big she was. Underestimation was a powerful tool, and it was a way to keep those whose eyes should remained closed asleep to her true nature. A useful little trick. She was clearly far more mature and knowledgeable than she let on, so upon being denyed, even many times over, he was sure she'd merely understand and let it go.
Still... She did try to hide herself, which begged the question...
"Can you elaborate on what ya said earlier, though? About your strength coming from people's belief in you. How does that work, boss?"

Even if it was subdued, Zelda's excitement about the potion ingredients did not go unnoticed by Nova. Her ears even visibly perked up a bit more at the cheer in the Princess's voice, and she let a relieved smile cross her lips. Not many had excitement for the the apothecary work of potion making in her experience.
It always rooted back for her to some underlying superstitions about witchcraft that she remembered in her childhood. Though she understood that same stigma she remembered in a time that was the technical future to now about witches was not present here. A certain perk of the past that gave her a certain tiny lingering regret to think about.
Drawing her attention back to Zelda, she gave a silent nod to the mention of the hearing the spirits to navigate the Lost Woods. That was the most traditional way to navigate the forest, and her people used a certain form of it to connect the distant paths of the forest. The old roots, even turned to stone over the many years of the forest renewing, connected the magic of those spirits all over the world.
Tilting her head a bit when Zelda made the gesture, Nova followed a few steps behind her at an even pace. Her long ears were still flicking at any surrounding sounds, especially anything under the wind, and her tail seemed to tremble a bit with some hidden anticipation. Of course she was still listening to every word the Princess spoke, giving another nod at her final comment in agreement.
"I wouldn't wish that either, and you are right it would not happen in the foreseeable future. My people don't wish for fighting or strife, and our want to avoid such is why we're nomadic compared to the original splinter of our tribe." She kept her pace up behind Zelda, paying some attention to the sound of bird calls on the wind coming from the direction of Kakariko.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Oh! They are beautiful."
However, it was the words spoken next that got her attention the most. It was little secret, that Zelda was getting quite into the concept of potion making. As she lacked healing magic of any kind, being able to make red potions would have been a hefty asset. She'd done so successfully maybe once or twice. No matter how much she wanted to be perfect.
She wasn't.
Zelda failed numerous times, at concocting even the simplest of potions, whether it be adding too much of an ingredient, or not enough of one. Potions could do way more than just heal, whether health or magical stamina. It fascinated her, in spite of how it put her into the terms of witchcraft. That wasn't frowned upon in Hyrule, as witches were commonly seen more as beacons of hope. Many of them were good.
Though there were those that were bad, as well. A person had to be careful.
"I would just love to see your ingredients for potion making, but all in due time. We should make our way to Kakariko first, so that I may get the full display of your wares."
All spoken with grace, and a renewed smile. A smile that widened at those words.
"The Lost Woods are very dangerous to those who do not know how to hear the spirits. The Sage of Forest, Saria, taught me how to listen to the spirits singing. Since then, I have been able to guide myself to the Sacred Forest Meadow."
