The cat took the muffin in his paws and raised it to his nose. He breathed deeply, taking in the various smells. “Hmmm… chocolate… blueberry… wal…” 

“A gift?” he said, his attention pulled away from the baked good at hearing the child’s new offer. 

Chaos leaned in closer. 

“What kind of gift?”

"Two coins, you say?" the cat-like being said as it plodded casually up to the muffin stand. Reaching a paw behind his ear Chaos pulled two ancient Mesopotamian gold coins out of thin air and placed them on the table. "Everything muffin, please."

The rag doll gave a start as the strange being jumped onto her stand. For a few moments, all she could do was stare in awe. …Who was this creature? Sure she’s met a talking cat before, but never one that looked so…peculiar.

Still, Clementine knew it wasn’t polite to gawk. Trying to keep in tone with her more ‘business-like’ persona, the doll gave a warm smile in his direction. 

“Thank you Mr. Kitty!” 

She reached out in order to take the two coins he provided, but found herself stopping once again, just to admire the way they shined in the sunlight. She’s never seen this type of coin before…it must be magical! Maybe this strange cat was magical, and gave out lucky coins!

She didn’t touch them for a while, still wanting to look at their sparkle for just a little longer. Instead, the girl reached into her basket and took out a muffin filled with chocolate, blueberries, and walnuts. 

“Here you go! Would you like me to throw in a bonus gift today?”
