actually i think the idea that gay people need to be less negative about heterosexual romances in fiction because it makes complete strangers insecure is total horseshit. and if people would like there to be a space where heterosexual romances are celebrated to make them feel better they have pretty much the entirety of mainstream literature and film and television and art in general that's ever been created outside of niche fandom webspaces to do that.
