BEST. NEWS. EVER !
“Happy Friday everyone! FIP Global CATS has been supporting treatment for FIP cats for years, but our dream and goal has always been legal treatment available through veterinarians. Today I have an exciting announcement that legal treatment with GS-441524 will be available in the US starting June 1!
Stokes pharmacy in the US has partnered with BOVA to bring legally compounded GS tablets to the US. The tablets will be compounded in the US in a formulation identical to the BOVA formulation currently in use in the UK and Australia. Availability begins starting June 1!
Pricing is not yet available, but I'll share more information as I have it!”
My cat, Cole, had FIP. The only way he survived it was by me obtaining treatment through the secondary market. The network is extensive and the medicine expensive. I’m super excited for it to be legal and available here in the US!
Please reblog and share share SHARE!
This is my healthy best friend! He turned 7 this year. Without treatment I would have lost him after only 3 years. 🖤🐈⬛🖤

Like, Seaworld certainly didn't help itself with its dreadful and abhorrent "umm, but we've done nothing wrong ever????" PR attitude post-Blackfish, but, as a facility, there have been improvements since the Blackfish was released.
Still not enough for me to ever trust their corporate asses to spearhead an actual orca breeding program though.
I actually hate having to explain to genuine grown ass adults that you can still dislike Seaworld while simultaneously acknowledging that, barring euthanasia, keeping their orcas where they are is easily the most humane, realistic option available to us right now.

These aren't the same animal, guys.
Kevin Durand, Proximus Caesar's actor, said in an interview that he is a bonobo. The physical differences between the two species are so minor, mainly just size, that bonobos were originally called pygmy chimps or dwarf chimps. So other than Proximus being larger than a chimp, I don't see the issue with him being classified as a bonobo rather than a chimpanzee.
I still don't believe you.

I could go into why it matters that one of the few fictional franchises that has bonobos portrays them as basically just evil chimps with darker faces, but I don't have the time.
I might get to it later.

THIS IS A CHIMP
Yeah, you can tell me that the villain in the new Planet of the Apes movie is a bonobo all you want, I'm still not going to believe you.
Koba was questionable enough in terms of his body type and limb proportions, but come on, Proximus Caesar is a whole-ass chimpanzee.

I'm probably the most charitable person on this site with regards to the Lion King remake, but if this Mufasa movie goes where I think it's going with regards to the hyenas, I'm going to burn something to the ground...
