celeste seo is a twenty year old sophomore at monterey university . around campus , celeste is usually known for glittering smiles below suspicious eyes and chasing stars in the summer sky . apparently , celeste had her parents pay to get her into monterey . i wonder if it’s true . if i had to choose a theme song for her it would be after the storm by kali uchis . a quote from celeste would be “ live, laugh, love … or whatever. “

do you ever look at someone and just know they are an only child? yes, that’s celeste.

her mom is a successful news anchor in the bay area whereas her dad is an esteemed marine biologist. they cultivated an environment where learning as much as possible was the ultimate goal for little celeste, but she never found any problem with it -- the only thing that worried her is that she never felt smart enough.

case in point: when she got put on monterey’s waitlist.

popular belief will tell you that mr. & mrs. seo would NOT have such a thing and slipped about $100k to the head of admissions, but if you were to ask celeste that, she’d probably punch you in the face.

she doesn’t like feeling less than, and that stupid rumor brings out the worst in her.

it shouldn’t matter how she got into school; she’s here and that’s what is important to her.

she is studying astronomy (: wants to become a planetarium director someday <3

personality wise, she’ll either be the best friend your muse has ever had due to the fact that she’s loyal to a fault OR she could be an itch they just can’t scratch due to how persistent she is.

sort of a chameleon in the way she’ll change her entire personality to get something she wants, whether that be status, a relationship, etc. etc. right now, she’s leaning into the preppy / light academia look (mostly because she’s been binge watching gossip girl......................)

this girl is so annoying and she KNOWS IT. she plays into it; she’s pretty nosy so if you give her an inch, she will take a whole mile. plays conversations sort of like a chess game; she’s always trying to be ten steps ahead of the next person (but that doesn’t mean she always is)

zero self awareness. acts like she gives off main character vibes, when at best, she’s the loudmouthed little try hard sidekick.

this is dumb but she dresses like your quintessential Nice Girl / preppy girl (only except she is not nice lmaoooooo)

is she trying her best? yes. is it good enough? maybe, maybe not. is she going to have fun until the truth is revealed? yes.

a bestie :) / group of besties where they’re a found family and each bring out the best in one another. these are people / is a person who makes celeste want to be good, makes her try her best in earnest and not as a means to get something she wants.

a rival. just like the besties, this person or people make her want to be better, but out of spite. she’ll go out of her way to chase after the same thing for no reason other than the fact that she wants to see them lose.
