the harvest festival was just another day in the life of bash amato. never did have much money to spend on anything, always seemed to be gone as quickly as he got it. the only difference is there were more distractions and more things to pocket in result. like the couple pieces of produce he'd nabbed from a market stall and managed to walk away, nonchalant, without anyone the wiser. invisible. something he'd been for so long he'd figured a way to use it for his advantage. lucky for him, not so much everyone who had something worth taking.

a smug smile on his face, he was fixin' to sneak off to the side when he spotted the silouhette of someone he'd been hopin' to see since the announcement of the festival. as quiet as he could manage ( which to his benefit, he was quite light on his feet ) he looped around a building and snuck up behind them. ❝ boo! ❞ he said quick and loud, tapping their shoulder then making a fast decision to jump a few steps back should they decide to turn swinging. he wore a wide, mischevious grin which tended to be a common look for the young pickpocket. ❝ surprise! did ya miss me? cause i sure missed you, ❞ it was said with a joking undertone but there was no lie in his revelation. he missed lux everyday and couldn't wait till they could come around again ( or he could manage to get out of town without being tracked ). ❝ nabbed you a welcoming snack, peach or pear, i had an apple but it fell. ❞ he hung his head in quiet tribute to the loss, then right back up— holding a piece of fruit in each hand out for them to choose.

if there's one thing to be known about festivals like these it's that it not only brings in the good, but the bad as well. pickpockets were sometimes more of a bane to mayor nichols' existence than the outlaws ( only sometimes though ). was it so much to ask that for once they behave ? maybe try not to scare off all their guests and promote growth in the good town of sweetwater. he gently rubbed one of his temples, willing the stress pang away to focus on anything else.

wyatt was out in town square to greet newcomers to harvest festival and his beloved sweetwater. shaking hands and kissing babies, like any good mayor should. he'd just got done handing over a piece of hard candy to a particularly festive dressed youngin when he spotted the familiar red curls of one of the deviants. talking to one of the guests no less! he approached from behind just in time to hear the corral dust she was suggesting. ❝ i got a better idea, kid— ❞ he started, clearing his throat to soothe some of the hoarse rattle that came with talking too much. ❝ how 'bout you c'mon off it now and hand over the wallet? as a reward i won't call the sheriff over 'ere to haul you in? ❞ he sucked his teeth and squinted to find just where the sheriff even was. a hand on his hip he looked back at the menace with a disappointed but, expectant glare.

𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐋 could only mean one thing – a flood of unsuspecting newcomers, pockets flush with cash just waiting for Josie's slippery fingers. It was always far easier to score some spare change from newcomers – the locals of SWEETWATER had long since become accustomed to Josie's tactics, they had learned to keep their cash close to their chests. That a convincing enough threat was generally enough to deter the PICKPOCKET – at least, for a few days.

We find Josie with a wallet in their hands – rifling through the contents and unceremoniously discarding anything that doesn't immediately interest her ( read: anything that isn't shiny or able to be traded for something that is shiny ). Grinning, she pulls out a couple of gold coins and shoves them into her pocket, before being distracted by a shadow crossing over her field of view. Slowly, Josie looks up, offering the person now looming over them a smile. "Can I help you?" They ask, eyes flickering from the newcomer down to the wallet and back up again. "I found this." They add quickly, "If it's yours, I'd be willing to return it for a handsome reward."

BIOGRAPHY.

one of the first hosts made after the original batch was destroyed, wyatt has been in rotation for two decades or more.

born to a pioneer family who took advantage of the longhorn cattle left behind after the louisiana purchase, wyatt was the oldest of five and was taught from the start that family, community, and hard work were everything which has stuck with him his entire life

when he was old enough, he joined the union army and fought against the confederacy. when the war ended, he became a sheriff in sweetwater - helping to clean up crime that had plagued the town at the time

he did such a good job, they named/elected him to be mayor and he's held the role ever since.

wyatt was a young man, tired from the war and weary from the losses he experienced during it all. he sought out affection to cure his loneliness and quickly fell in love with a beautiful woman.

not long after they married, their first child was on the way and he fell in love all over again when his daughter ginny was born. he swore to never let anything hurt her.

his wife left not long after ginny was born for reasons to be determined. he was heartbroken, but he had ginny to think about and a town to run so that is what he focused on.

BIOGRAPHY.

programmed originally to be the child of one of the working families on the ranch, reprogrammed later after several accidents in which his parents, him, and/or the ranch was wiped out and he was given a new narrative in the current storyline which has been consistent several years or more now.

born to a poor family, bash doesn't remember either of his parents very well. he was sold to the ranch at a young age to pay off a debt where they raised him up to work for them.

bash wasn't too keen on sticking around the ranch as he got older, not a fan of the constant monotonous work day in and day out even though they provided decent food and shelter.

at a young age he ran off and ended up on the streets of sweetwater, doing whatever he could to survive day to day by pickpocketing guests and residents and committing other petty crimes.

he was taken under the wing of an outlaw who is the closest thing to a parent he's ever known and is incredibly loyal to them

they have a close friendship with another pickpocket who they grew up with and have remained best friends with as long as they can remember.
