No but like, yeah. If Kim had said yes, chay would have still let him walked away. And he might have cried too.

And then he would have gone home and made a plan to both woo Kim until he came back. Or he might have made a plan to make Kim woo him.

Either way, he would have been ready to hear Kim out, and he also wouldnt' have been so lost and broken. He probably would have focused on it, especially with how lonely he was, and probably his stalker tendencies would have emerged again because if Kim loves him, then why the fuck aren't they together?

Chay would have put all his energy into making kim know how much chay wanted him back, and how kim should be dating him, mafia or no.

So this isn’t a full prompt fill or anything, but I found what I started in my notes app and decided something was better than nothing 😅

It’s not that Kim can’t get it up while he’s on tour. They’ve proven it enough times when Chay sent him progressively less dressed photos through Kim’s sound check for some pre-show fun.

It’s just that… it’s so much. Too much sometimes. There are days Kim can’t decide adding his own travel lock to the hotel door is worth the extra seconds it would take for him to undo it if he needed to get out quickly. He’s already strung out thinking about set lists and sound checks and what to eat to keep his voice pristine and one million other tour details, he needs all the peace of mind he can get.

Sometimes just thinking through the logistics of being vulnerable in an unknown space is more laborious than the tour itself. When that happens, trying to get off without Chay right next to him leaves Kim more strung out than when he started.

Luckily for both of them, Chay is a good problem solver.

“Stop,” Kim says sharply, gripping his phone in both hands.

On the other side of the line Chay’s whine is beautifully wrung out already.

Chay curses at him. “You’re being mean, phi.”

“I am,” Kim agrees solemnly, the barest hint of a smile crossing his face.

TY FOR THE ASK EEEEEE OK so i only have literally like 100 words in my doc ab this but omg i think ab dom kim so much. i have a tumblr draft ab it that i forgot ab til right now 😭 but basically, kim who always felt like his sexual desires were a shameful result of his violent upbringing, and like, his family works in like sex club/toys business so hes aware that there are people who enjoy both sides of s and m but he always thought that 1. he was the exception to it being normal and healthy and 2. he would never be so close to someone to have the trust required for that kind of relationship. and once he did try, found someone at a club owned by the minor family, and it went Poorly. they hadnt really talked about preferences and kim is much stronger than he looks, and the person safeworded almost immediately and it just reinforced the idea that he was Too Much for bdsm to be ok for him to participate in. and then he meets chay, and number 2 kinda goes out the window. a year into their reconciliation kim trusts chay more than he has anyone in his life, and when chay brings up maybe being into it, kim lowkey freaks out. because he doesnt want to hurt chay, and has he made chay feel like he wants to hurt him? and what if he does something wrong and he doesnt want to want to hurt chay but he does and- and- and chay just kinda like talks him down and is like ok. so. we’re gonna talk about this and figure out what do to. and they do (yay communication!) and kim is like i really wanna hurt you and it scares me and chay is like then do it scared cause i want you to hurt me. and kim is like !!!!

and this is the only thing i have written for it so here’s kim being really nervous:

“Is this okay?” Kim had to ask again.

“Fuck,” Chay said with a choked sob, making Kim freeze.

“What?”

“Please.”

“Is something wrong?” Kim asked, hands poised to take the rope off Chay’s wrist. “What-“

“Fucking stick it in already!” Chay practically screamed at him.

Kim blinked for a second, then he felt his dick twitch. Oh. Ok.

He laid a slap down on Chay’s ass, making him let out a surprised yelp. “Watch your tone with me,” Kim tangled his fingers in Chay’s hair and pulled, then leaned in to spit the next word right into his ear. “Slut.”

Kim was nearly shaking when Chay let out a string of garbled noises, which he now knew was a good reaction.

A Deep Dive: Kim’s Fight Scene in Yok’s Bar

I’ve been thinking about this scene a lot lately, and I just have so many thoughts on it. 

Like low-key, but imo what makes this scene so mesmerizing yet also chilling at the same time is the fact that Kim never eliminates the possibility of Chay turning around at any time and witnessing Kim kill in order to protect him. 

Whereas Porsche tends to protect Chay by keeping him from seeing the reality of the mafia life (and tragically blindsides both himself and his brother because of it; Chay because he remains ignorant of his new environment and Porsche because his judgement of the risks in keeping Chay ignorant is impaired due to his overprotectiveness), Kim protects him only from the danger of it.

It’s an all around interesting narrative choice from BOC, especially considering that it’s Kim’s one fight scene in the entire series.

imagine an alternate universe where kim is, let's say, twelve. he sees korn slap his mom. before mom can react, kim attacks korn on the spot but gets restrained by bodyguards. his mom later warns him that she doesn't know what korn might do and that they have to be careful. kim puts his sneaky little nose to work, makes sure all the bodyguards loyal to korn get killed and then proceeds to slowly poison korn. korn ends up dying.

kim's mom and vegas and macau's mom plot and kill gun together. they unite the major and minor family, make sure there's no more animosity between vegas and kinn and the little theerapanyakuls proceed to thrive under their mothers' love and care.

kim's mom finds out about nampheung a few days after korn died bc she sees her nurse come out of her rooms. they get nampheung off the meds korn was poisoning her with and call in all the needed doctors to help with her recovery. kim's mom and vegas and macau's mom are over the moon their friend is alive but if korn and kan lied about her death, what happened with the boys? they told them they were dead, too.

they look into it and find porsche and chay. get them reunited with their mother and deal with arthee. the boys stay at the compound while nampheung recovers. they're both confused and lost because they've been orphans for so long. porsche is better off, he remembers their parents, but a ten year old chay is having a hard time making sense of the fact that this bed-ridden stranger is his mother.

he wanders around the compound, supervised by a guard so he doesn't get lost or hurt himself. he finds a room, a library, with tall shelves filled with books. there are cozy looking armchairs and in one corner of the room, a record player. a vintage one, the one he saw on tom and jerry. he finds a bunch of vinyls next to it and sits on the floor going through them.

he finds something he likes, maybe something they already had at home, and asks the bodyguard following him to help him put it on. and so he spends his days listening to music in the library. kim finds him one day, just when chay is playing his favourite vinyl and he's singing along. kim, not one to make friends usually, walks in. chay wasn't expecting it, he startles and tries to stop the record player.

he finally manages, fumbling with it. "you like abba?" kim asks. chay nodds, confused and slightly scared of the older boy. kim wasn't friendly back when they met, standing quietly in the corner and just observing the room. chay saw him around the compound a few times, too - he was always scowling.

kim just turns on his heel and walks out of the library after chay nods. chay's even more confused now and even a little sad, that one question had him hoping kim would want to be his friend after all. feeling down, he starts the record player again but doesn't sing along. three more songs change, from super trouper, to i have a dream, to the winner takes it all. just as it ends and the intro to money, money, money starts playing, kim walks back into the library, carrying a guitar.

he makes his way over to chay and sits down on the floor, facing chay. he sets the guitar on his lap and clears his throat. "i can play some abba songs," he says, a blush climbing up his neck and covering his cheeks. chay, in a better mood than when kim left him, eagerly nods his head, turning off the record player. he pulls his knees up to his chest, rests his elbows on his knees and puts his chin in his hands, ready to listen.

"but don't laugh at me if i mess up," kim pouts and waits for another nod before he starts playing mamma mia. he starts singing too, and chay claps in delight and joins in. they get through mamma mia together and then chay demands kim plays more. after kim's fingers are numb and his left wrist hurts from all the chord changes, he declares he's done playing. chay begs him to teach him to and kim agrees. they don't start that day, but they do continue listening to the vinyls together until kim's mom finds them, asleep on the floor with whitney houston playing in the background.

and that's how they become friends. years down the line, when chay is sixteen and kim eighteen, they make a youtube channel and start posting covers together. mamma mia is the first song they cover. they end up gaining a following and eventually labels are fighting over them. they reject them, their mothers make a label of their own just to support their sons and they go pro right about the time chay is graduating high school.

they're having a blast, writing songs and tweaking songs they've already written for their album. chay gets accepted into the same course as kim. somewhere amidst all the controlled chaos and euphoria over their shared success, they start dating. they decide to keep it on the down low for a while, until they settle into the relationship. their mothers find them making out in the pantry three weeks later and make fun of them for it for the rest of their lives. and yada yada yada they live happily ever after, the end.
