                        he didn’t want to arrest her -- he knew cereza would have his ass for it, and it wasn’t like she ever did anything too obscene. but there was only so many warnings he could give out before the lieutenant took a notice to him sweeping things under the rug.  ❛  ... no,  you aren’t under arrest.  ❜  though he still says it begrudgingly, pursing his lips before he continues.

Zadkiel had picked up tickets to the sci-fi con that was in town. He didn’t totally understand it all yet but he’d looked up a simple costume to make on the internet and was standing outside her apartment ready to surprise her. He knocked on the door holding up the tickets with a smile only to frown when Carol opened the door. “Who are you?”

              It hadn’t been anything that was planned, Carol showing up to Ella’s house to drop off a necklace and a batch of roses. At least, it wasn’t anything that Carol told Ella he’d be doing. But he thought it nice, to show up every now and again to treat her in the smaller ways while he had time. Made sure to let her know that he was thinking about her, even if he couldn’t always spare the time to take her out nice places when he was still trying to get settled into his job here. So, he shouldn’t be surprised with the fact that she has visitors from time to time. 

              When he opens the door, sees a man who he can only imagine was wearing some sort of... Halloween costume, he was admittedly,  well, confused.   ❛ my name’s carol. ❜  he should probably call for ella, let her know that her guest had arrived. ❛  ---- i’m sorry, who are you?  ❜

              with everything that had been happening at work after carol had gotten settled in, the cases and the responsibilities that came with them.. he hasn’t had much time to catch up with cereza since the night of the funeral. which he felt guilty for, it hadn’t been his intent to leave her hanging considering everything that she’s been going through, but there really had been to time to spare. 

              it’s been a week, maybe a bit more, and he’s just managed to close the previous case with the assistance of ella and lucifer. so, he waits at lux, wanting to catch her once she finishes her shift.

@lilimrot​​ i don’t wanna be alone anymore.

                          that was a feeling that carol was familiar with. losing someone was never easy, with dan, it hit hard. dan had been someone that had always been looking out for him, making sure that he had his head on straight and never did anything too stupid. got him through training in the police academy, but that was just the sort of person that dan was. cereza seems to be the same. good at heart, she took him in the same night after he spent most of his time alone at dan’s funeral. they were both still mourning, vulnerable, carol hasn’t had a chance to properly sit down and process it since he heard the news. he doesn’t want to be given the chance, he’s been purposefully keeping himself occupied with meaningless tasks. 

                          now,  he was standing in the living room of his late friends house -- unzipping the back of cereza’s dress, and hesitating when she mentions the fact that she doesn’t want to feel so alone. finishing up on unzipping her dress, he turns her around -- resting his hands on her shoulders for some form of comfort. ❛ you’re not alone. ❜
