YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE YOUR WINDY SONIC AU. THE CONCEPT IS AMAZING AND I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING.

But if I had to narrow it down to one thing... uhhh... it's technically two questions but does Sonic's condition worsen to the point where it's an actual problem that needs solving and if so I want to know about reactions.

Glad to hear folks are digging the concept! I really need to draw more with it beyond my Sonurge ship, haha

To answer your questions: Yes, the condition will worsen over time, but the result of this may be a bit different than you think. He's certainly not going to just fade away into a quiet breeze...

I imagine the reactions from his friends as the condition progresses will first be concern, of course. They'll probably spend a good while stubbornly trying to find a solution for it. Thankfully, the condition will progress pretty gradually, so he'll still get to live a decently long life with his friends before it gets to the point of no return.

Your guess is as good as mine at the moment, unfortunately! I just haven't thought of a good way to fit him into things. And, if I'm being totally honest, I think that's in part because Kit doesn't grab me nearly as much as Surge does. I think he's a fun character, don't get me wrong! I have no issues with him! But Surge is where my off-and-on hyperfixation lies, so I'll admit I have a tendency to overlook him. Hopefully I'll come up with something for him soon, though!

seeing you post knuxouge centered around the master emerald reminded me of something…!

IRC, in frontiers story, knuckles says he’d like to leave angel island and stop guarding the master emerald for awhile. and my immediate thought there was; what if rouge took over guarding it?

A personal headcanon of mine is that if Knuckles ever really HAD to pick someone else to handle watching the emerald for him, it'd be Rouge. He'd claim it's just cuz he knows she'll hold onto it because she wants it for herself so badly, and that he knows he can take it from her by force once he comes back, but secretly she really is the one person he trusts would keep it safe.

And of course, when he comes back, Rouge would make a big play of acting like she's upset, and would make some sarcastic comments ("It stinks like Echidnas do, anyways") but she'd still hand it back over willingly, without putting up any sort of fight.
