I'm no sweet dream, but I'm a hell of a night
That I'm no sweet dream, but I'm a hell of a night
No, I won't smile, but I'll show you my teeth
And I'ma let you speak if you just let me breathe
I've been polite, but won't be caught dead
Lettin' a man tell me what I should do in my bed
Keep my exes in check in my basement
'Cause kindness is weakness, or worse, you're complacent
I could play nice or I could be a bully
I'm tired and angry, but somebody should be

In Silver Flames Cassian thinks Nesta was "a wolf who had never learned how to be a wolf, thanks to that cage humans called propriety and society. And like any maltreated animal, she bit anyone who came near", and I loved seeing Nesta finally getting out of that cage and becoming her true self in this book.
Thank you @/searland_art for bringing this stunning art to life!
Did they seriously take one or two mean comments from a traumatised child (pretty much) so personally that they hate on her from the moment they meet, behind her back and to her face, over it?
Yet, when Feyre finds out her so called friends hid vital medical information from her, she's laughing with Cassian ten minutes later over punishing Nesta for, what I see as, a cry for help from one sister to another.
How the hell they run a court when their priorities are so damn skewed and any sense of empathy and compassion left the chat centuries prior?
She kept her spine straight, her chin high, hating that they all eyed her as she opted to sit on the couch beside her sister. Hating that Rhys and Amren noted her filthy shoes, and probably still smelled that male on her despite the bath.
Nesta tried to master her uneven breathing. One of the few choices she’d made for herself, stripped away.
“Anger, blame, shame and judgement.”
“You look atrocious,”
“Though I bet it’s hard to look good,” Amren went on, “when you’re out until the darkest hours of the night, drinking yourself stupid and fucking anything that comes your way.”
“You don’t have a life,”
“All you have done is help yourself to our money.”
“You spent five hundred gold marks last night!” Feyre exploded, shooting to her feet to pace in front of the hearth. “Do you know how much money that is? Do you know how embarrassed I was when we got the bill this morning and my friends—my family—had to hear all about it?
“It is about how it reflects upon me, upon Rhys, and upon my court when my damned sister spends our money on wine and gambling and does nothing to contribute to this city! If my sister cannot be controlled, then why should we have the right to rule over anyone else?”
“What things? A few clothes and some rotten food.”
“Friends and a professional.”
“People with a history of attacking or criticizing your loved one shouldn’t be present.”
This one’s pretty self explanatory. Or are you gonna try to say they are her friends? I don’t know what to expect from you people
You know, it’s really telling that these leftists will keep hawking about casteism and how we Hindus never address it, but then turn around and berate our PM and president, who are OBC and ST respectively. Really makes you think 🤔
went to read the sati kand in shiv puran because I was curious to know what kinda married life they lived and some of the verses are so freaking cute!
like sati has finally summoned shiva after finishing her nanda vrat and my man is more excited than sati to hear her confession. he asks her what she wants and sati is freaking out on the inside because she doesn't know how to ask him to marry her and before she finishes her sentence he's like 'marry me'
sir, you were supposed to wait for her to finish asking for her wish
and then he immediately goes to brahma to tell him to go to daksha and formally ask for her hand in marriage and make sure the marriage happens as soon as possible
absolutely smitten. falling over himself to finally get together with his beloved after millions of years long wait
the book even goes as far as saying he was so madly in love with her he absolutely didn't want to do anything without her by his side
Targetting a group/family/person because they're muslim
Perpetuating islamophobic stereotypes
Calling muslims terrorists by default
Discriminating against Muslims because of their religion.
Things that are NOT islamophobic :
Talking about islamic invasion and colonisation in various countries
Talking about cultural and religious genocide, forceful conversions, using and selling people as slaves, destroying religious monuments of other religions by islamic tyrants, arabization etc that was indeed done in the name of islam
Talking about terrorist organisation including but not limited to - Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, Boko Haram, Houthis.
Being disgusted to see genocidal maniacs such as Tipu Sultan, Akbar, Aurangzeb, Shah Jahan, Babar and manyy more that caused so much pain and suffering to my ancestors be honoured and celebrated.
Pseudo-liberals be throwing the word fascist like it's dhaniya. Literally everywhere lmao. Ram mandir is built using fascism, not the judgement of the supreme court. Umhm, yes sherlock. And by the grace of the same fascism exists the waqf board, churches own lands while no minority's place of worship is "managed" by the government but Hindus' is. The official decolonisation of the land's own culture is a fascist move, for it had been stripped off it's identity once and now we deck it again with what stood prime. We should be cussing the Ram mandir as a structure celebrating the death of secularism. You just cannot oppress a majority in their own land, especially when it's a secular country. Absolutely.
And what exactly is wrong with worshipping animals and plants? Mother Nature is what sustains us, nurtured us and keeps us alive and healthy. Plants are life giving and animals have always been a source of livelihood for us. The Sun gives us warmth and the trees shelter us.
There is absolutely NO shame is worshipping nature. In worshipping many gods.
Taylor owes me and my religion reparation for not even caring to learn the actual fucking meaning of Karma and yet appropriating it for millions of profit
The ultimate irony is that the people railing against Israel as "an artifical ethno-religious state created in the wake of WWII" would absolutely hate any suggestion that Pakistan cede its sovereignty to India, despite the two having separated on similar terms to Israel/Palestine.
You get it. Say it louder.
I love the way you worded this, very eloquent.
