Young Arthur Morgan is so funny to me because he is hinted at being everything BUT the calm, thoughtful man we know of today. He is described to be a menace from the mere age of fourteen and when he was twentyone he got so annoyed fish weren't biting that he just went and brought three ones and presented them to Dutch and Hosea as his own catch. Like this was an easily fustrated, angry kid who was probably SO easy to tease.

You cannot tell me that when john joined that he didn't stick his tongue out at Arthur and Arthur JUMPED at him. I see so many who thinks Arthur would be this kind of annoyed but calm big brother when I think he would be the "try me and you will find out what your guts look like" kind, like he will be GLARING at John if he comes anywhere near him and jump at the chance to get at him.

Imagine Dutch teaching Arthur to read, I don't think that it went well at all, I think that Arthur just said "I don't need to know how to read!" threw the book away and stormed off and first actually learned it after he had stood in a situation where he actually needed it and he realised he was fucked. He was probably still a bitch about it tho, getting all up in Dutch's face about it but following him around camp in case he found a word he didn't understand.

I think that Arthur learned to love John, but he was definitely rough with him and there were times where Hosea was genuinely worried if the two of them would end one another but then he sees how they protect each others backs in battles and realises he doesn't have to worry.

ANYWAYS, Arthur Morgan was a violent kid and he would not cry while learning math with Dutch at the kitchen table, he would just run off.

Headcanon: Jin’s Name

Jin was almost named Kazuhiro. Or rather, his father wanted him to be named Kazuhiro. 

I headcanon Lord Shimura’s given name to be Hiroto. He would spell it  博人 and the characters are translated as “Leading Widely” and “Human,” Kazumasa spells his name  一優 and the characters are translated as “One” and “Superiority.”

Thus, Kazumasa took the “kazu” character from his name ( 一 )and the “hiro” character ( 博 )from his his best friend/brother-in-law to make the name Kazuhiro ( 一博 ) for his son. It means “One Leading Widely”.

However, mama Chiyoko was not having this. She knew her boy was special and she wanted him to be kind and gentle unlike her husband who had a bit of a wild streak. So she chose the name Jin spelled  仁 which uses the character for “benevolence.” She originally wanted it to be spelled  臣 which means “servant” because she knew he would serve Tsushima well and also serve the kami, but she knew her husband might revolt if she did that. So she went with the other spelling instead.

Kazumasa fought and fought and fought for his son to be called Kazuhiro, but Chiyoko would not budge. And considering he could not deny his wife anything, their son was named Jin and that was that.

as in (i'm going off the clones here because i think they need something new. i'll elaborate later) i get 2 characters and you get the other 2

i think the reason me trying to write the story from the beginning failed was because it was all me. there was no cooperation which is the main thing that motivates me here. your writing is unbelievably amazing and it motivates me to be better at my own.

if you were with me, writing from the clones very conception to current day it would be amazing

i think the reasons we enjoy reading each other so much is because not only are we good at it but it allows us to make more of our own and sometimes even improve on things we were already planning

Arius Stone-Heart's Diary. First Page.

4E : 186 | 7th of Frostfall.

I saved enough coin to buy a diary. The only thing I'm not too sure about is the amount of ink I'll need to keep buying for a quill.

I'm 15 today. Mum said having enough Septims to buy dinner after buying this book was a gift enough. Oh, how much disdain I hold for you, mum.

School was good today, didn't talk to anyone apart from Laniel. Teacher says my words and spelling are getting real good.

Mum wouldn't exactly agree since she's like every other Nord. EVERYTHING THAT ISN'T A NORD IS BAD and that stuff. But I think she's real pretty. For a Bosmer at least.

Made my own breakfast today, so I think my cooking's getting better.

Judging by the hourglass, it's only about 1600 hours. I'll write more tomorrow, this was more just a trial, I suppose.

So my interest in both Liam and Ghost of Tsushima is peaking and I've gone back to the whole time travel thing and I've been imagining Liam (somehow) getting to Japan (or Tsushima)

For one, he'd probably just be looked at weirdly. Japanese, even nowadays are almost never born with bronze/brown hair, let alone blonde or ginger. And he's pale and freckled.

Two: Probably wouldn't be a samurai for two reasons. One, foreigners were rarely even there in that time period and wouldn't be allowed the rank of samurai (and he'd probably still be around 17-23, but would look even younger, thus probably also being judged by his looks). And lastly, Liam DESPISES authority and samurai were THE authority. Like, they were aware of it and if you went against them you were finished.

But if a Ghost of Tsushima-esque situation occurred (an invasion or the like), he would probably be a freedom fighter and would probably try training with real weapons and not just his claws (because Wolverine himself is actually an expert in fighting with Japanese weaponry) and he would just be interested.

His 'powers' of observation and pattern recognition would allow him to at least get the gist of the language. He'd be fine with sneaking around and doing the whole 'I will do what I must' angle, so the samurai probably wouldn't love him unless he was explicitly employed by one (samurai in battle were largely about honour and facing your enemy head-on).

Liam also loves views. He grew up in a facility of greys, whites and monotone shades. He'd find the wildlife, the flora and fauna of Japan (or Tsushima) beautiful.

The Japanese loved (and still do) their mythology, so I don't doubt Liam would end up becoming a mythic entity to most. A spirit who fights for the freedom of the people, while reigning chaos on those who enforce justice and peace.

Liam likes chaos. His life, while chaotic itself, was more controlled chaos. He was ALLOWED outside, and he was APPROVED for operations, tests and of course the vibranium bonding. So when he sees something ready to just be tampered with, he loves it.

Also a byproduct of his love for freedom. Chaos is freedom and freedom is chaos. Humans need structure and freedom means less structure and less structure means more chaos.

The Khan killed Taka with Jin’s sword and Jin had to stand over Taka’s body for hours before he broke loose and gets caught red handed by Yuna and gets screamed at, then had to fight all those ronin and bury Taka’s body and had to free Shimura’s castle the next day/next few days with all of this guilt weighing on his head and-

idk i think its a pretty bad trope in and of itself especially if it's written badly, but when written well (and in my second example, written okay) produces things like star wars and harry potter, which admittedly, harry potter thrives more off of its atmosphere and vibe, but still
