I feel like the story would be better if Rachel had simply not used Eris at all, and let Persephone feel 100% natural murderous rage all on her own
The wrath blessing nonsense is such a stupid way to absolve Persephone of blame for her violent past.
"Oh those instances of a normally sweet character being bitchy with a really bad temper? That wasn't her being a multi-faceted character. That was her mean bitch disease taking over. She's actually a 100% goody two-shoes 100% of the time when it isn't flaring up(ignore all those times she does fucked up shit and it's played for comedy or framed as not really being that bad)"

Britney Spears invented anime in 2007 for her music video, Break the Ice, from her Blackout album. Anime is an animation style that exaggerates the size of the eyes and typically only represents the nose through its shadow. This animation style became incredibly popular in Japan, in part because the nation wasn’t large enough to provide the studio space required to create live-action films. Popular anime films include My Neighbor Totoro, Pokemon: The First Movie, and The Animatrix.

So basically…the erebos stuff was pointless because the power was inside Persephone all along. I hate everything about this plot, I hate that a literal baby had to be the one to go to Tartarus to give her that revelation, I hate that it makes all those chapters devoted to finding erebos pointless and I hate that it basically means Persephone probably sacrificed nothing, all that happened was she got MORE POWERS that she had to figure out. Like did Rachel Smythe just not want to draw the skeleton made of many skeletons so she threw that plot point away?

The "Thetis gets married off for snitch "crimes"(and also being a side chick probably)" plot beat answered that last question
In the old kidnapping of Persephone myths,Zeus being able to just marry Persephone off to any man he pleased without needing anybody else's agreement made sense because he was her biological father at a time where something like that was well within a father's wheelhouse. Given that he isn't her dad in this retelling, the threat of him just being able to marry Persephone off to whomever he wants whenever he wants is very weird.
If anybody is gonna have the authority to force random marriages, shouldn't it be Hera????
Does Zeus also marry random mortals to each other by force?Imagine getting thrown into somebody's house at random by a higher power and he just goes "That's your husband now. Make it work" and the god's domain isn't even marriage.

Why is Apollo being Zeus' son being treated like a dramatic reveal?
Zeus is a known man of the people(read: slut), Apollo is a full blooded god, and there aren't any other gods who are that shade of purple and also old enough to have fathered him.
Who did the public think fathered Leto's kids??? Did they think she reproduced asexually, like Demeter did?

Seemed like most people were pretty into this, so I'm gonna make it a Patreon Goal. I'll probably do snippets like the first thing even if we fail, but if we get to $500 I'll try to make a real-ass comic issue for it. Hit $1000, and I'll make the baffling decision to try to make more than one.

The fact that at least Hera got to rock his shit later on in the story makes up for it tbh
The fact that it is not any of the 6 traitors, who were most traumatized by Kronos, who get to seal that bitch away again, but instead Persephone, who has no history with him and is only just now having a direct interaction with him for the first time, is yet another narrative disappointment from this story. With the exception of Zeus playing meat shield at one point, none of them even got to help

Apollo's reaction to the true love arrow is written in a way that feels less like he's being forced to feel true love and more like he's being forced to form an extremely strong empathetic bond with Persephone, which is absolutely not anywhere near the same thing

It feels like the reason why Hera is naked when she goes super mode is rooted in the fact that Rachel had Hera see a vision of the fight beforehand.
Rachel wanted to do a fakeout with the vision by making readers think it was Persephone, and this wouldn't have been possible if Hera actually got a special super mode outfit of her own the way Persephone did when she got big or if Hera just got a bigger version of the outfit she was already wearing. She removed the audience's ability to use color to tell who's who by putting the vision in greyscale, and that would have been in vain if she hadn't removed the ability to use outfits to tell too.

I personally think Apollo's siblings should have responded to his power grab via self-labeling himself as king by starting a succession war tbh
They could unite together against Apollo or make it a free for all or some mix of the two(they start off targeting Apollo and then turn on each other whenever he's not being dealt with). I don't think it would resolve anything but it'd make the plotline more entertaining

False, and if this statement becomes true, it is because I died.

I think it would've been funny if after Demeter was handed the baby SHE was the next person to kidnap the kid, and ran off with Dionysus never to be seen again for like...ten updates. Then when she comes back, any issues people have with the kidnapping is played for comedy, the issue is dropped, and you almost doubt whether any kidnapping did in fact happen
