Random post, but its been on my mind for weeks now. I get lots of asks talking about people being lurkers in the g/t world, or when people finally dive in, lots of us mention just lurking around the community for years. At the end of the day, it's your comfort level, and all the power to you, but let me do my lil car salesman pitch to any lurkers who happen upon this.

The g/t community is small. I see fantastic art on here that will get 200-400 notes, maybe break 1000 if you're lucky. Writing? Typically under 100 notes, with the occasionally popular story getting a little more. On any given one it's usually just a handful of comments, if that. I've seen a lot of amazing creators come and go, just feeling like "What's the point?" Or that they're shouting into a void.

Your participation in a community, regardless of if you create or not, brings with it that little boost of appreciation and support. In such a small community, you're able to engage with creators far easier than in larger spaces. I remember just reading and saving pictures to my phone years ago. Just casually enjoying g/t by myself and thinking that was all I wanted. But there's nothing like actively participating- making friends, having people build on your little ideas, and being able to tell creators how much you enjoy their stuff.

We've all been lurkers, but just know that if and when you're ready to interact, people will be happy just to have you here.

you are forgiven!! everybody gets different things out of fandom and likes different things, so it's fine you don't have favorite ships :> otoh this song you mentioned is VERY cool, though i haven't actually heard of the game before. i might have to look into it 🤔🤔🤔

Thank you for understanding :D if it’s any consolation, some personal favorite ships of mine do include minimegs, optiratch, and dinoprimal, but that’s really all I can think of haha.

(If you do check out any other NIS games PLEASE play The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince, and its sequel The Cruel King and the Great Hero. They’re different stories but set in the same universe and AUGHH they’re both fucking heart wrenching. Liar Princess is more of a puzzle game, while Cruel King is a more standard rpg!! They’re not connected to each other so you don’t need to know one to play the other but I still highly recommend you play both. MRD isn’t connected to either of them though so you don’t have to worry about that lol)

I would answer this but I don’t really have a ship that I’m currently obsessing over atm 😭 as I’ve mentioned before I’m pretty passive about ships! So aside from a few I particularly like there’s none I really feel very passionate about to the point where I can associate a song to it, sorry 😭

But if you’re curious i did shuffle my library and the song Passion in Blue by a_hisa from the Mad Rat Dead OST came up :) which by the way is one of my TOP favorite songs of the game it goes so incredibly hard. And also by the way play Mad Rat Dead it made me cry

Well my favorite food is chicken Alfredo! And as for my least favorite uhhhh that’s hard cause I actually dislike more foods than I do like HAHAH. I guess the one that comes to mind for me right now is most things with a tomato sauce, cause every fucking time I try it the SAUCE IS SWEET. WHY THE FUCK IS IT SWEET?
