When Peter wanted try his hand and buy a couple of skirts/dresses. He didn't want to go alone.

Ned and MJ might tease and support him but he wants to attract someone in the outfit. And they might say he looks good but he needed more then just their word on it.

Natasha was out of town on a mission.

No way he would ask Steve to escort him.

Wanda wouldn't be bad but she fell into the same category as Ned and Mj.

And Tony? He would be too embarrassed. Plus there isn't any way that it wouldn't end up in the tabloids and he didn'twant Tony to get in trouble for hanging out with him. Peter wasn't sure if he could handle the playful flirtiness either. He wanted to look good in the outfit if Tony was gonna see him in it.

So that is how he ends up with Bucky helping him. Bucky knows how to read people. Knows how to hide in plain sight. And if anyone gave Peter the stink eye, Bucky would protect him and keep him safe. He won't sugar coat if the outfit doesn't work and he magicly knows if something would work. Even pulling a couple items for him to try on. He made Peter feel comfortable and confident. And he only blushed a couple of times when Bucky gave a little smirk or made a comment here or there.

Peter just didn't know that Bucky was discreetly taking photos of Peter posing in the outfits. And sending them directly to Tony.

sam, dean & john definitely shared 1 bottle of that awful 5-in-1 shampoo-conditioner-bodywash thingies that you buy for cheap at pitstops. i imagine it never really bothered sam until he went off to stanford and saw how other Normal people live (including what fancy scented shampoos they use).

so sam when comes back into hunting in s1 dean obviously takes the absolute crap out of him for not only having 1: shampoo, 2: conditioner, but also 3: sensitive skin body wash. sam gets huffy about it and says that it’s not him who’s weird for caring about his body but dean for wrecking his skin & hair w/ that crappy 5-in-1 shit.

alsooo….. dean definitely sneaks sammy’s stuff into the shower once or twice when he’s sure sam won’t notice because he’s a sucker for a nice hot shower with expensive shampoo even if he won’t admit it to sam. but i think sam would steal deans stuff sometimes as well, when he’s aching for some sort of closeness or nostalgia. its the same stuff him and john have bought forever simply because its the cheapest on the shelf, but sammy likes the familiarity of it, how it reminds him of dean’s hugs and the mundane, comforting parts of their childhood.

obviously, they can both smell it on each other, but neither of them say anything for fear of bringing attention to their own shower habits.

All the multi-verse chaos in NWH pulls Superior Iron Man!Tony into the MCU verse. He's wandering around, seeing murals of himself, figures out pretty quickly he's ended up in some parallel universe, is about to investigate more, when he's found by Spider-Man. He knows the Spider-Man in his own universe, knows he's Peter Parker, because he's Tony Stark and he knows everything, but there's not really any connection between them.

But this Spider-Man, this Peter, sees SIM!Tony and immediately pulls his mask off, revealing the most adoring, worshipful face SIM!Tony has ever seen, matched in tone by the sweetest voice softly calling in hopeful disbelief, "Mr. Stark? Tony?" And SIM!Tony has to stick around this guy for at least a little while now, this living example of the reverence he deserves.

So he sticks with Peter, who defends him from a suspicious Doctor Strange, and he stays with him as he actively goes against the wizard and sets off on some redemption quest for the gaggle of villains from other universes that have also ended up here. And he also gets to work on the side learning about his counterpart from this universe. It's already clear this world's Tony is dead and SIM!Tony is disappointed to learn it was some foolish sacrifice for the masses he should have ruled if he had been smarter.

But as he gets access to Tony's old systems and finds archives and archives documenting his private work and thoughts, SIM!Tony starts seeing a different picture. It had already been obvious that Peter adored this Tony but now SIM!Tony could see that Tony was obsessed with Peter in return. And he learns about Thanos and the Snap and the time travel plot and the Blip, and maybe this Tony never got around to reaching as high as he should have, but he's still Tony Stark, and SIM!Tony knows his mind, and it's clear to him that everything, everything, was for Peter. Not the trillions of other people and sapient lifeforms that had been Snapped. Only Peter. Tony wouldn't have done it at all if Peter hadn't been lost to him.

And Tony can make all the moral platitudes he wants, but no version of Tony Stark is stupid enough to think there would be any way to do what he did with absolutely no risk to the timeline or the present day. SIM!Tony knows that and he also knows Tony was still willing to risk it all just to get Peter back.

And now SIM!Tony's feeling an even stronger urge to stick around in this universe, with Peter, and see for himself what's so special about this boy that this world's Tony was willing to do, create, and destroy anything and everything for. Yeah, he's abandoning his own world, but this world's Tony clearly would have done the same thing. Peter must really be worth it.

PSA for UK Teachers

I went to an LGBTQ+ Educators conference a couple of weeks ago and they had a fantastic session on the draft 'guidance' the government published on trans pupils in December 2023 that needs to be common knowledge

The draft guidance, if/when it officially comes in (which it has not yet) will be non-statutory. This means that all schools are expected to follow it unless there is good reason not to.

This transphobic guidance would break the 2010 Equality Act, a fully ratified law. Keeping Children Safe in Education, the legal backbone safeguarding documentation, tells us that the wellbeing of the child comes first, not the 'rights' of the parent. Telling parents about a child's preferred name without their permission breaks GDPR law - as soon as a child can understand that their data is private, they are protected by this law (I have taught year 2 pupils this as part of their IT curriculum, so. Pretty much all age groups are covered by this.)

Not wanting to break fully ratified UK law is an excellent reason not to follow non-statutory guidance. This is what you tell any school personnel asking you to follow this new draft guidance. We have more legal obligation to support and protect our trans pupils than we have to follow this new transphobic bullshit.

There are so many incredible organisations and educators fighting this right now (https://tnb.org.uk/ have great resources if you want to read more) but making sure average classroom teachers can stand up and aren't cowed is the most valuable way to keep our kids alive
