New Guest Mix by Anderson Chimutu aka Fumbata Phiri, a first generation Malawian American who resides in the city of South Bend, Indiana. 

Growing up near Chicago and Detroit, Chimutu was exposed to many legends of the regional music scene. This influenced him to get involved with various instrumental bands and djing. Now he focuses on solo productions, which integrate the use of granular sound processors and drum machines. 

This new approach, coupled with the desire to represent his African heritage, has given birth to Fumbata Phiri. His first offering as Fumbata Phiri came in the form of 2020's "Decoherence", released on the Hungarian label Exiles. He followed that up with "Equipoise", released on UK label Hard Return, "Actuation" on released on Eternal Search in 2021, and now in 2022, "Liminal Space" releasing on Chicago label, Reserve Matinee ran by Michael Stumpf (FAITHFUL) and John Daniel (Forest Management). Chimutu wants to challenge the narrative surrounding African influenced music, and does so by creating what comes naturally to him. Putting forth an extension toward the future, while being cognizant of the history that has brought him to this point.

Blending persian music, classical piano and jazz with idm, downtempo and ambient electronics, with a real sense of rhythm, and utterly evocative musicality, Vahid Qaderi's mix is a masterful journey both for the lone and the accompanied listener.

Qaderi started working as an electronic musician in 2010 after a couple of years of experimenting. Since then he has composed music for short movies and animations, theater, and video games such as Memoranda. Qaderi started performing live in 2015 and performed in almost 20 events and festivals in Iran in the next 3 years. Since 2020 he is based in Austria, where he performed at the Agora Digitalis stage in The Wild State at Ars Electronica 2020. Recently, he composed and performed original music for the interactive transdisciplinary performance "Post-Dervish Chant", that took place in Ars Electronica's Deepspace. Qaderi has contributed his tracks to Iranian labels X-Music or Noise A. Throughout the years he has also gathered an impressive amount of work self-released through his SoundCloud profile. His debut album "Exinter the Second World" was published through the Japanese label Bumpfoot in 2017.

Carincur is a transdisciplinary artist living in Almada, Portugal. Her work configures itself in hybrid forms in the intersection of performance, electronic and experimental music, audiovisual installations, sound sculpture and the creation of electroacoustic instruments. In recent years, she has carried out a research-based practice that wishes to reenact, in assemblage with new technologies, the dynamic forces that carve our experiences and bend the socio-technic fabric upon which the image of the normative human is being woven.

Exploring the terrains of fiction/reality, electronic/organic and human subjectivity and using the space/body/voice/machine as her main plastic material, she explores acoustic phenomena, auditory and visual perception, the voice as a synthesis device, the humanoid vocal capacity and the creation of post-human voices, and how that can be used to understand the transitions between organic and electronic bodies, where any new additions of “external” technology are seen as extensions of the body.

An artist of multiple mediums, Carlos trained in classical formation and piano, eventually developing an interest in experimental and electronic music languages. Morita Vargas is an argentinian producer, singer and performer of experimental- electronic music. She explores fantasy soundscapes and lyrics with no-lenguaje, working with collages of sounds creating emotional atmospheres.

She has released two albums, "8" (Hidden Harmony Recordings, Estonia) and "Mandragora" (Autogenesis, Germany).

"For this mixtape I was inspired by female, trans, non-binary Latin and South American music that I admire. Their music opens the scene for me in terms of genre because it is an eclectic selection of sounds that goes from folklore to ambient, going through the experimental, melodic, dramatic, abstract and the frenzy of the dance floor and pop feeling. A mixture of ancestral roots and the present, it is a door for the world to know who we are and what we create and produce."

Alexandra Spence (@alexandraspence) is an artist and musician living on Gadigal country. She has a current, near-spiritual, obsession with the animation of material and object through sound. Alex has performed and presented work on radio, in concerts, festivals, symposiums and galleries in Australia, Canada, Asia, and Europe. She has three current releases: Waking, She Heard The Fluttering and A Necessary Softness at Room40, Immaterial at Longform Editions, and two forthcoming releases, one on Canti Magnetici and a collaboration with M.P. Hopkins on Moremars.

"When I moved to Canada I was surprised with how quickly my voice picked up the accent, it confused my sense of identity as an Australian. I didn't feel in control, my voice didn't feel entirely my own anymore. Inversely, upon relocating to Australia I was saddened when my Canadian intonations began to dissipate, this part of my identity, no longer audible, was being involuntarily let go by my body.

I wanted this mix to focus on the voice (housed in breath and body). The voice beginning within and reaching outward - unravelling and connecting, degrading, and changing form, leaving traces along the way. This is a mix of artists I admire working with voice: sung, spoken, neighed, whispered, whistled.

Okay Vivian is the project of Turkish singer/producer Pervin Güzeldere. Shifting through experimental minimalist compositions to catchy pop elements; her music combines ethereal silent spaces with heavy beats, scattered vocals, breaths and whispers.

Since 2018 she has released two singles, a 7” vinyl and an EP, on labels such as Table Records (Ankara), No Exist (Montreal), Euphonic Recordings (Paris) and IA (Warsaw). Performed in Ankara, İstanbul and Berlin with her live A/V performance ‘Wildflowers That Cannot Move But Can Bend And Twist’.

About the mix: I’ve been feeling the need to be more devoted in the way I listen and internalize music. So for this mix, I picked only one track by Tomoko Sauvage and let it wash over me. I made an entirely new piece that draws from her angelic, fluid sound; designed to slow down the listeners thoughts as much as possible.

“The ebb and flow of this water, it's sound continuous but also marked by motions that ceaselessly patterned my ear and my eyes, supplemented my own emotion, calmed now by reverie, so that I felt in myself, so pleasurably and effortlessly, the sensation of existing without troubling to think.”

Yidam is a special deity one works with in meditation as a means towards recognising one’s own awakened nature. I once found a key on the floor of my house, I tried to see if it fit any door, but none opened. In a Buddhist poem, he said that whoever would find a key on the floor without a door was because he was close to opening its interior and dazzling his true self, his own Yidam.

VVTNSS/witness. It's an alter ego of the artist João Pedro Fonseca, founder of new music label ZABRA, where he has the freedom to immerse himself in the musical world of spectra, beats, materials and experimentalisms, where they dialogue in a dimension beyond the body and the sensation, transposing us to a telluric current of doubts and faith.

EITLEOMMIX is also an introspective-projective itinerary that includes, as a re-mix, sounds from earlier releases by Carrots Tapes (Netto, from the legendary "Supermarkt Affaire" cassette, "Slime" and the brand new "Sabroso&Delicioso").

Mixed by Carrots Tapes during March/May 2020, between Berlin and Amman.

Carrots Tapes is a D.I.Y. platform-label from Berlin focused on releasing sound artifacts (whether it is bands, music compilations, artists and experimental productions or soundscapes) on cassette.
