I also made cover girl (and my roommate) Hannah’s dress.

Sketching Practice Project

Practice illustrating denim dry process abrasion treatments like whiskering along the crotch and behind the knees, grinding along the waistband and sanding on the front/ back thighs and pockets to achieve a high- low effect. Brown-cast tinting is spot applied.

The jeans’ cuffs are tacked in place on the side seams and feature a placed print on the reverse.

Blazer Hoodie twofer mimics sun fading on arms and front/back bodice panels achieved through sanding or spray bleaching.

Patched and Reworked Denim Jacket - Sketch & Final Garment

Personal project for myself reworking dad's denim

All the denim used in this oversized trench was pieced and patchworked together from several pairs of old jeans. The mismatched, patchwork affect from the differing denim washes is amplified with plaid and floral cotton patches.

Alternative Wedding Look - Fashion Illustration and Final Garment

Saudade

A melancholic longing to be near again to someone that has been loved and lost, or perhaps never existed.

My muse was a woman who eternally waits at the alter for her lover who will never come. Her mixed emotions of nostalgia and loss are conveyed through her asymmetrical silhouette, capturing her desperation to tightly hold onto memories of the past versus the gradual unraveling of emotions as she comes to her painful realization. As she sheds tears of clarity, her memories become a source of solace, but also a reminder of what she has lost.
